It was less than pleased about being assigned to this patrol, even if Hollowmist could see the merit of it. Keeping relations good with their allies- especially ones that were Sablestar's own kin- could lead to assistance in the future if needed. Their own stomach growling only cemented their determination to be sure this visit to Windclan ended in success. If they could convince the leader to trade prey in exchange for their assistance... The chimera's pace quickened until the patrol stood at the threshold of the border.

"...Remember, we're here to offer assistance to Windclan if Dustystar accepts. Stay on your best behavior." The mew is curt, voice low on the chance a windclan patrol happened to be passing by that very moment. "If we help them now after this flood, Windclan will owe us a debt." And hopefully, hopefully they would see the logic of sharing prey with their allies.

Hollowmist gives a flick of its tail, signaling to their patrol that it had spotted other cats on the horizon. "Windclan," It calls out, voice smooth. "Sablestar has sent us to assist if needed. You need point us in a direction and we can help, be it clearing debris or whatnot."

A pause as it seems to recall something, something akin to curiosity enters its voice, bordering on concern. "...How is the kit that got washed away to our border? Is she well? I recall Marbleshine saying it looked like she took a nasty fall before she found her."

[DIMMINGSUN]

Dimmingsun doesn't intend to meander so close towards the ShadowClan border, but it only makes sense that his paws take him that way; the further out he goes, the more livelier his surroundings become. That star-damned storm had swept everything away. If only it had happened in the middle of greenleaf instead—then perhaps there could be some positive, considering how fast flowers and plants can grow if rained upon so heavily. There would have been stronger growths during the warm season; by the time the dark clouds had opened themselves up and drenched everything, the plants have been too brittle to survive.

Spotting shapes in the distance, Dimmingsun heads towards the marsh more deliberately. It takes him a moment to decide against taking on an aggressive stance, seeing as not one cat amongst the ShadowClan patrol seems too agitated or ready to fight. Still—he will remain cautious at the very least. He dips his head to the other WindClan cats that seem to arrive to the scene in the exact same moment. At least he has backup if needed.

"Has he?"

Dimmingsun echoes Hollowmist's offering.

"That's very generous of him."

It feels too good to be true... but he doesn't allow himself to look anything but surprised. He would hate to ruin this moment. Dustystar had suggested asking ShadowClan for help when they had returned to their rightful camp, but Dimmingsun had not sought them out since then. His pride would certainly take a hit. But this is different; he did not need to ask. If Cicadabuzz and Magpiepaw could spare some herbs...

Of course, he is no fool. This can't be as easy as simply saying yes.

"And what would you ask in return? I presume there is something you'd like, as is your right."

He is almost shocked when Hollowmist brings up Lotuskit. She had been that far? Her thoughts had been a jumbled mess when she had made it back home... she had been so vulnerable, ending up in another Clan's territory. Thank the stars for Dustystar's ties with ShadowClan in particular.

"Ah, Lotuskit? She's lucky that you found her instead of a predator. She's recovering well, all things considered."

Truth, but not too much of it.
