Blacktree was one of the first to follow Timberfrost out of camp. The death of Pine was not so far away that she had forgotten what it was like to feel hunger, to watch as a kit tried to suckle at empty teats. With no current litter of her own, she would help provide for those who needed it.
Blacktree would not tolerate another death like Pine's, slow and painful.

  • Blacktree is a broad-shouldered she-cat with long black fur. Her black fur features white patches thanks to her progressing vitiligo, and her eyes are a sharp amber. Blacktree bears a scar on the bridge of her nose.

  • Blacktree is a woman of strong convictions. Her first priority is always the protection of the vulnerable, and she has a particular soft spot for kits. At times, she can be hypocritical, judging those who overextend themselves and thereby neglect their duties, but she knows that if push comes to shove she would likely do the same. Her relationship with romance and family is complicated, largely due to the split of the Colony.

  • Blacktree's family history is fraught with tragedy. Her youngest sibling was taken with her father to Twolegplace, never to be seen again. Her son, Pine, perished before the formation of the Clans, and this death was the inciting incident with her ex-partner, Blisteringfury. Her mate, Dunehusk, has several children with Blisteringfury, though they all live with their other parent. Blacktree still cares for Blisteringfury, but she is jealous of the size of his brood, wishing for another litter of her own. Blacktree's brother, Grayflight, lives with her in ShadowClan, though their relationship is not as close as it once was, and their other littermate, Patchfog, resides in ThunderClan.
