| Newleaf is a season of change and new beginnings, so it is morbidly ironic when Hawkstar loses her final life to greencough. Flowercloud earns her nine lives under the watchful eye of StarClan, the clouds part and she is now Flowerstar. She hopes her ruling will be softer to ease the hatred the other Clans still carry from Hawkstar's cutthroat reign. SkyClan begins their long term, story focused event of the year... Ducklingpaw is reassigned to Quailstep
Ptarmiganpaw is reassigned to Flowercloud
Dragon is named Dragonpaw and assigned to Sharpquil
Goatpaw is named Goatbite for his strength and free spirit
Duchess is asked to be a permanent caretaker, and given the name Cinnamondream
Peonypaw is asked to become the Clan's newest Medicine Cat Apprentice, leaving her mentor Chrysalisgaze to train under Swallowbreeze
Hawkstar loses her final lives to Greencough... a quiet end for a leader that shaped SkyClan into who they are today.
Before Hawkstar's body grows cold, a new deputy must be named before moonhigh as stated in the Warrior Code. Quailstep is given the choice, but the molly respectfully declines.
The Clan welcomes Mulberryburst into the rank of Deputy
Maiseyleg is relieved of her duties as stand-in deputy, but her position is shifted to Stormguard
At the Fourtrees border, Belladonnadance of ShadowClan asks if she can move into SkyClan to be closer to her newfound kin. Flowercloud accepts her, but asks she is kept under watch.
Feeling immense pressure from, well... everything, Fujimoto abandons his rank and SkyClan home to move in with Granmamare in twolegplace. He does not announce his departure or tell anyone where he went, but Daylighters may notice the familiar face.
While on a walk, Cherrydawn unexpectedly goes into labor and has her kits outside of camp. She has a litter of three: Butterflykit, Dandelionkit, and Cometkit, who is given the curse of Precognition by Dark Forest denizen Crabfang.
Fettuccine, Berrypaw, and Pearkit are out for the count with Greencough.
Before the illness truly took hold of SkyClan, a panicked Barbie forces her way to the border with an injured Tick-Tock and a silent Ratfish on her heels. Swallowbreeze agrees to give the strangers the medical aid they need, but are asked to leave shortly after the blizzard.
