A lighter feeling follows them back home, like a lighter breeze under the wings of a tired bird. The journey was a quick one without much time for reflection, but the stress of the night was off her back for the time being. The accomplishment didn't quite feel real, but there would be time to adjust. So many times now, she'd shifted shape one way or another from having all her limbs to three, from barncat to windclanner, from kit to medicine-cat apprentice. Life was full of constant change, and she and WindClan had borne the brunt of it.
Dimmingsun matches her pace, dawns softer haze swallows camp as they cross the threshold. The night behind them, she takes a moment to admire the orangish glow of the rising sun. WindClan slowly thaws around them, cats beginning to stir for their morning duties. One thing she wasn't sure about was how to broach her new name with her clanmates. It felt awkward to outright tell them without being prompted... but she was trying to be bolder, more vibrant, like the blooms of her namesake.
"Last night... I was acknowledged by StarClan as a medicine-cat." Her green eyes dart nervously over the faces in attendance. How much StarClan's approval actually meant to them wasn't for her to say.
The starry cats had been absent after Gladebloom's disappearance, and then again after the flood. Both times when she desperately craved their guidance. Yet, they were an inseparable part of WindClan now, even if she didn't understand their whims. "I would appreciate it if you would call me by my new name." A vine of courage twists in her gut. "Please call me Meadowbloom from now on."
// Please wait for @DIMMINGSUN. This thread takes place after the last half-moon meeting. I'm horrifically late. Please forgive me.

WINDCLAN MEDICINE CAT 16 MOONS SHE/HER Meadowbloom values kindness and remembrance. As a kit, she internalized her mother's lessons, but questioned whether her way is the only way. She has broken free from the heavy burden of her mother's expectations due to their estrangement after the fire. She remains kind and soft-spoken through all she's endured, but is not afraid to speak out for what she believes is right.
Meadow works tirelessly at any task she undertakes, desperate to prove herself capable and worthy despite her disability. Without her mother's guidance, she finds new ways to express herself.
In conversations, she is gentle, thoughtful, and withdrawn, often hiding her struggles, fearing others seeing her as incapable. She continues to have a strong bond not only with her sister, but with her adopted family as well. Meadow uses her new freedom to support and deepen the bonds with her clanmates. Additionally, she has started to explore the more spiritual side of herself…
Her worldview is a complicated mix of hope and frustration. She wants to believe that there's hope at the end of all the suffering, but feels trapped by her limitations. With enough time and support, she may find a way to overcome her limitations and accept herself.
