Saffronkit felt her stomach drop when Stoatstream came to get her, her expression unreadable as they walked to the medicine den. Saffronkit almost felt like a solider, walking towards a funeral. Her eyes focused on the ground, afraid for what she was about to see. However, what greeted her was entirely the opposite of what she had expected. As soon as they reached the medicine den, Stoat seemed to disappear, moving to assist with a patrol with her newly named apprentice. Saffron swallowed hard, but saw her papa laying there, eyes open.
"P-papa?" She asked, eyes welling with tears before the tom could respond. "PAPA!" She was shouting now, rushing into the side of the tom and burying herself in his long fur. Tears rubbed into his fur, a relief washing over Saffronkit like no other. She had not spoken to her papa in what felt like forever, nor had he been aware of the rogue that had attacked her. Her ear had healed, but not without a permanent reminder from the rogue that had attacked her.
"I-I thought you weren't going to wake up..." There was a sniffle, the small kit looking up at her papa with a face full of tears and a furrowed brow.
