[takes place shortly after Crowpaw recovered from the skirmish with Talonpaw]
Belladonnadance had visited Crowpaw every day after her apprentice was placed in the Medicine Den, there was an unspoken bond there, something that united the pair that the black molly was not familiar with. Once he was released, Belladonna elected to take her on a walk through the territory. The walk was quiet, the pair not speaking much until Belladonnadance came to a spot in the pocosin where the moon shone through the trees in a majestic shimmer that seemed to make the fireflies dance. She sat, looking at the black feline that had come under her charge.
"Are ya' doin' better now, kiddo?" She meowed, looking at the apprentice. Crowpaw was aware of her own situation, loosely. Most of her clanmates were now aware that Duskpool of Skyclan was her father after her sobbing fit at the last gathering when she found out he had passed away. However, the molly still had an air of privacy to her, she had not told a soul about Shimmer and the dogs that had taken her mother and sisters; the images that haunted her dreams and made her beg Starclan above to let her stay awake so she wouldn't have to face the demons that tormented her.
"Ya' know," She continued, still looking at the sky rather than her apprentice. "You can tell me anythin' you need, kiddo." She meowed, "I ain't gonna judge ya, it ain't my place." She glanced at the black apprentice, her silver eyes watching the moon in the same way Belladonna did. There was a long pause, she looked away from them again. "But, I ain't gonna force ya either. I don't talk about myself much, either." She sighed, paw gently scraping the dirt.
"I ain't from Shadowclan either, but I ain't from Skyclan. Neither was my pops at first." She gave a sad smile talking about Duskpool again, sighing. "I don't know what brought ya to Shadowclan, but I'm glad you're here." She smiled at Crowpaw, it was genuine. She cared deeply for the feline, feeling a charge over them like a mother to her kin. If she could honour Shimmer's memory in any way, she wanted to be a maternal figure to someone that needed it.
