DUSKPOOL
Never been much of a climber. Not with his bulk, but that ain't to say he never clambered up onto the lower branches. He just preferred stayin' on the solid ground. With a rumbled sigh, Duskpool gathered his wit, haunches coilin' tight in preparation to spring, wonderin' how his life came to this exact point. He grumbled lowly, leapin' up the textured bark and onto the first low-hangin' branch.

With a grunt, Duskpool settled onto the thickest part of it, some lengths closer to the thick trunk to peer above where some of his clanmates resided, unimpressed. He ought to enjoy bein' higher up, but he was doin' just fine where he was, not entirely thrilled to clamber up to the finer branches and risk smashin' his head in. "Think I'll stick to the thicker branches. Ain't keen on turnin' into fox food." He mused with a slow, guttural drawl.

SkyClan, named and revered for the way the cats within the clan can move amongst the branches so close to the sky, quickly and deftly catching the prey that lives amongst the foliage - most of them anyway. There was no question that there were some within the clan that preferred to be on the ground whether it be due to their stature as was the case for Duskpool or because of a potential fear of heights, fear of falling, so many other things. He supposed even RiverClan likely had cats that refused to get into the water due to the unnaturalness of it for the same reasons, even if that was one of the main things that set them apart from the other clans that surround SkyClan.

As his clanmate spoke out about sticking to the thicker branches the warrior couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, tail sweeping behind him from above the other as he looked down, claws digging into the thinner branch that he was on to keep balance as he shifted along it, smile casting down towards the older tom before "That's alright I suppose not everyone's built for the branches." He'd lightly poke at the other, familiar twinkle in his eye to show that it was all in jest. At least Duskpool was trying, getting out of his comfort zone even if it wasn't completely necessary at the moment. "At least the lower branches are still useful for keeping and eye out for stuff, too many leaves up higher." Every branch had it's use, even the dead ones.

Fujimoto still hadn't tested the waters with throwing himself up a tree again. It gnawed at him wearing the face of guilt the longer he avoided it, knowing Downypaw's training would only benefit with a warrior to show her the perfect footholds for curling her claws around and making sure she wasn't keeping all her weight at her haunches.

Watching Duskpool, even with his body hardly a few fox-lengths off the ground, made him cringe. The twist in his hip twinged when he saw Mulberryburst even higher above. The same height he had been when he fell... "@Downypaw, uhm... did... you want to try?" The Sun Guard weakly suggested as looked away from the warriors and to his apprentice.

DUSKPOOL
"Afraid not." He rumbled gruffly, wooly plumage sweepin' across the sturdy branch to hang over the edge, peerin' down at Fujimori and Downypaw with a subtle quirk of his lips. Reckon he'd be with 'em if not for havin' to climb down. It was enough clamberin' on this damn branch with his bulk. He grunted in agreement, starin' above through the branches and leaves with a raised brow, takin' note of its plentiful leaves with a wrinkled nose. "Won't catch me climbin' up there. Turn into a damn bush by the end of it." He chuffed lowly, shakin' out a wooly coat.

Peerin' down at Fujimori, Duskpool raised a brow, chest vibratin' with a low, guttural rumble, "Why don't I help Downypaw get to the lower branch, eh? Mulberryburst can help the squirt go higher if she wants." He mused, not quite knowin' the feelin', but considerin' the old warrior rather stay on the ground, he could understand the hesitancy.
