Hello and welcome to Purrgatory! We are an 18+ Warrior Cat Roleplay set in an AU where the clans were unable to leave the forest territories and perished!
It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.
{$title} Taking place the night of the clan meeting, still frustrated following the announcement of Jadethorn's promotion, Stoatpaw decides to leave the night guard a little "congratulations" gift.

Even now, having circled the camp a couple of times, Stoatpaw still found she couldn't escape the fury that seemed to bubble up in her chest. She tried to soothe herself, try to walk herself through how it'd be fine if Jadethorn was a night guard, the stuff in Riverclan was just... A one-off, right? Sablestar said the actions of her and Cherryblaze were reprehensible, right??
"So why the hell is she a night guard!" She spat the title like a poison; it didn't mean anything anymore if reprehensible cats held it now. She thought, hoped even, that Jade and Cherry would be punished for their actions, but again and again and again were cats who acted out of line fucking rewarded. And what? Stoatpaw, who listened to Cicadabuzz's orders despite doubting the morality of it, was punished!
It was laughable. But she found no amusement in it all. She knew she needed to return soon or else Sablestar would lose his shit on her again. But it wasn't like she could go back to camp and smile, be the lovely, gentle and sweet Stoatpaw they all loved!
A growl of frustration ripped from her throat as something caught on her tail, skipping the panic and wanting to snap at the next cat who even looked at her. Only for her face to fall. Brambles had caught on her tail, white fur clung to a thorny bush... Wait... A smile appeared upon the apprentice's face. Well, if everyone expected her to be sweet and lovely, an unassuming little Stoatpaw who only knew to do as she was told, she would play the role!
Stoatpaw pushed into camp again, the meeting over, but cats still huddled together discussing... Something. She didn't care enough to see. But, even so, she allowed a gentle smile on her face. In her maw, she held some fresh moss and flowers, coming into the camp as she had many times before in her explorations into the pocosin.
To anyone else, she seemed the sweet and ditsy little apprentice who had her head in the clouds and pretty pelt covered in the flowers she so lovingly picked. So, of course, no one would expect the curled bundles of brambles she pulled up and tucked delicately within the moss. Her mouth and paws stung a little, but it was a small price to pay.
She knew where Jade's nest was, having passed it by on many mornings returning to her own, not ignorant of the funny looks the warrior gave her in the last moon or so. And, whoops! Oh, clumsy little dear Stoatpaw is, dropping her flowers. Oh, what a shame indeed!
No one batted an eye as she stooped down, shovelling the bramble-laced moss into Jadethorn's nest, still clutching plenty of flora to seem unsuspecting. Cherryblaze was spared for now, it would be far too obvious to target them both in the same night, maybe she could find some nettles or ivy for the other night guard...
The apprentice made her way over to her own nest, a yawn parting her lips as she dropped her flowers. She sat down, adjusting how she sat so she had a good look at Jade's nest as she separated blooms from her bundle. Dear lovely Stoat weaving flowers into her nest, how sweet indeed. The smile on her face was that of anticipation. She wasn't the cruel sort, but she was looking forward to this.
