Papa still wasn't awake. But Stoat kept reassuring Saffron that he would be alright, though Saffron could sometimes see the flicker of doubt in her eyes as she tried to comfort the younger molly. Saffronkit knew that all she could do was hold out hope that papa would get better, as hard as it was to hold that faith close to her. Stoatstream had been coming to see her in the nursery often, sometimes she looked exhausted like she had not slept through the night, but she always made sure to spend time with the young molly. Today was no different, no news about papa, but Stoatstream had come to visit her.
Saffronkit had been too afraid to wander from camp after that rogue attack, scared that that same cat would come out of the darkness to attack her again. She stuck to the nursery, or around camp. She sighed, looking at her older sister. She knew she needed to trust her, but the fear papa might not wake up clung to her like a bee that wouldn't stop stinging. Blue eyes looked at Stoatstream, the small molly was almost an apprentice --- next moonhigh. "Stoat... do you think papa would like some nice flowers? Before the snow covers them all?" She murmured. Maybe if they brought papa some flowers, he would smell them and wake up sooner!
