indent Gravelpath doesn't like to be bossed around. They've got agendas of their own, without any time to go about solving other cats issues!
indentExcept, at the moment, they didn't really have all that much to do. Leafbare is always a bit dreary and slow, and now that Thunderclan has begun to settle into their new home, there's not many pressing matters to attend to. The clan has begun to form a quiet routine, and so has Gravelpath. Everything they had set out to complete today is already done, for the most part. They've hunted, and eaten a meal. Eaglepaw is off doing whatever it is he does when left to his own devices, and doesn't need Gravel looking after him. There really isn't anything to keep Gravelpath from doing Serpentberry's little errand for her. Besides, it would be useful to get on her good side, and bossing around Honeysucklecry and Tuliptail should be fun, at least for a bit.
indent The little group, led along by Gravelpath, makes their way westward from camp, towards the riverbank. Where the forest thins, they are greeted by a rocky beach, with large, flat stones surrounded by sand and pebbles, overlooking the icy water. One can easily imagine this place in Greenleaf, warmed by sunlight and framed with sedge and milkweed, with a chorus of frogs in the background. Now, though, the landscape is overwhelmingly brown and grey, with snowy slush lining the nooks and crannies the sun couldn't reach. The frogs and snakes that no doubt lived here during the warmer moons had long since gone to sleep away the cold, leaving the little beach empty and lifeless.
indent "Finding herbs here, at this time of year." Gravel clicked their tongue.
"What a waste of my time." If they were lucky, they might find a milkweed pod that had lasted the snow without getting soggy. If the seeds inside were still good, they could act as bedding for anyone who didn't mind picking fuzz out of their fur every morning. Gravel would prefer to stick to moss, for the time being.
indent "Alright, here we are. If you find something you think would strike Serpentberry's fancy, feel free to pick it up. Hopefully she won't blame us when we don't find anything."

prompt - although no one in the patrol claims to be a good swimmer, the cats persevere towards the river regardless. they happen upon a small outset from the treeline, where the sun beams down on wide, flat stones. the patrol feels warmer than they have since leafbare began; do they take the time to relax and sunbathe a bit?
