It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.

⋆˚✿˖°Their paws led them south with no particular destination or hunting ground in mind at first until they spy the barren tree, with branches curled like ivory claws reaching for the sky and Sagesong can't help but stop to look up for a moment in awe of the sight. It must have been dead for years- long before any of the patrol were even a thought.
"Let's try hunting around here today." They mewed, finally dragging her gaze from the tree to her companions with a smile. "A dead tree means plenty of hiding places for prey to make their home inside." They allow a grey paw to tap the ground for a moment before padding to the trunk of the ancient tree and giving an experimental grip against the bark with unsheathed claws. It held surprisingly well for something dead and withered, she found. They should be hunting first and foremost, but... it certainly wouldn't hurt to have a bit of fun with it.
Mismatched eyes turned back to the patrol, mischief gleaming in them. "Starlitpath, Bumbledawn- Either of you fancy a race to the top?"
