There's a flank pressed against his left side, his good side, as he walks across camp. While he hadn't been grievously injured in his legs, the wound on his side had been deep and kept him on bedrest. Well, kinda-sorta. Serpent didn't have to know if he strayed from his nest when he could, but this was something he thought he should do while healing. Keeping his muscles fresh, even if it was just for a walk, was something he was intent on, and he was sure that Ghost didn't want to be stuck walking him around in camp, so...

Thunderflash's head turned towards Raven, blinking in appreciation at the other as he wanders about camp, using the other to keep himself propped up from time to time. His paws stilled for a moment, pain radiating down his side as he tried to catch his breath, then- "Thank you, again. Really, I mean i'." Thunderflash said, a smile spreading on his face before his vision turned back forwards, eyeing the entrance of camp. Sunlight filtered into their new home, cast upon the both of them at the moment and warming his fur just a bit more.

"Hey, Raven?" He asked, Thunderflash's vision turning towards the other. "How have y' been holdin' up? Everythin' alrigh'? 'n I mean more up in... yer dome. Yer head." He tries to clarify, eye shifting up towards the other's forehead then back to the other's eyes once more. "I' has been rough th' last coupla weeks, aye?"

RAVEN OF THE COLONY

Raven had taken to helping out where he could, even if it meant assisting Thunderflash as the larger tom navigated camp. He knew the importance of rest for someone with injuries like Thunderflash's, but he also understood how maddening it could be to stay confined to one spot. So, whenever the opportunity arose, Raven offered quiet support, a light hum, a silent nod, or the occasional word exchanged between them.

For the most part, Raven was quiet, his golden eyes fixed ahead with a gruff, brooding expression. His presence felt more like a shadow than a companion, as if his mind were far away, caught in the storm of his own thoughts.

Though he heard Thunderflash's words of gratitude, he rarely responded, his only acknowledgment an occasional flick of his ear. He stood silently as the larger tom paused to catch his breath, their gazes meeting briefly. Raven's golden eyes found Thunderflash's pale blues, and a faint shadow of a smile touched his face. Once, he had been a grump with a sharp tongue and dry humor, but now... now he felt like a hollow shell of who he used to be.

His thoughts strayed to the ones they had lost. What became of them? Was there truly an afterlife? If so, were they watching over the living? The questions stirred uneasily in his chest, but he had no answers.

Thunderflash's voice pulled him back, shattering the fog of his mind. Raven blinked a few times, momentarily disoriented. " Wuh...? " he mumbled, trying to piece together what had been said. Something about his head... the last few weeks? Ah, yes.

" They... have been. " he murmured softly, his voice low and distant. He gave a slight nod, hesitation flickering across his face. " I... " He faltered, his words catching in his throat. After a moment, he finished quietly, almost as if trying to convince himself. " I'm fine. "

Perhaps she is a fool to expect the gravely injured to remain so still in their healing process. It's something in the grief, she thinks, as she looks for Thunderflash and he is, yet again, gone from his nest. It's only been a pawful of days, her kittens still learning simply how to live and she how to live without. Can these... ThunderClanners not give her the grace of just remaining where she last left them?

She spies Raven first, then the hulking form of Thunderflash on his opposite flank. She chews on the inside of her cheek, eyes looking down her nose before she lounges by her den's entrance. A short stroll around their new home won't hurt him any more than rolling about in his nest will. She's lucky that Cicada allowed her access to their former herb stash, gave her time to gather half of it before leaving without a scratch to her scruff. Thunderflash is lucky, too, for his side is smeared with poultices ground together by her skill. Infection, in the least, will not take him. Though she fears that workaholic paws might.

"Will you two be long?" she calls to them, unknowingly breaking apart a soft moment between toms. Her chest twinges, and a flash of the woman she was mere days prior arises as she mutters, "If I'm intruding on anything intimate, please - the camp's exit is only so far from you...!" Leave those meandering in camp to grovel and pout about their upended lives.
