RULES
This is not first come, first serve. This litter will close on August 30th and slots are chosen on August 31st. The kits will be born on September 1st. There are two slots open for this litter. The third kit will be played by me and is called Lullabykit.
This will be a worm litter.
Applications are free for all, but need to include the basics (e.g. name, pronouns, appearance and personality).
There is no set activity requirement, just stay on the census and have your name claimed. If you need to drop your kit we can work something out. I would prefer if any kits won't just fade into the background.
Names don't need to be from the list, but should follow the general theme. Make sure a name is still available and put a hold on the prefix before you commit to one.

The Story
Batgloom and Shiveringsong have known each other for a long time. Both grew up in the same dog fighting ring and didn't have it easy in their early moons. At first they had not much contact at first, though as time passed by they became closer acquaintances. Eventually Batgloom fell in love with Shiveringsong, though at first he didn't want to admit his feelings for him out of fear of losing him too. When Batgloom finally managed to escape the dog fighting ring, Shiveringsong had been amongst the group that escaped together with him. At first the whole group travelled together, though eventually only Batgloom and Shiveringsong were left of the group. Some chose to leave, while others died of illnesses or injuries. During their time alone, Batgloom and Shiveringsong only grew closer until Batgloom finally confessed his feelings for Shiveringsong. The two became officially mates not long after. When they came across the Shipyard cats, they decided to stay as they both grew tired of not really having a home. They followed them to the clan territories, when some left to form Riverclan. Everything had been good until the night of the first gathering. Batgloom only chose to attend, because Shiveringsong had wanted to go. In the wake of everything else that happened during the gathering, Batgloom found the body of his mate when it was time for Riverclan to leave. Shiveringsong had clearly been killed, though no one could tell who the killer is. There had been too many scents to tell which belonged to the killer and there were no witnesses. Who killed Shiveringsong will remain a mystery. Not long after the death of his mate Batgloom realised that he is pregnant.
Additional Details & Relations
Batgloom will be honest with his kits and tell them what happened to their father and what a place the world can be, though he will not go into too much detail. The kits will be loved very much and he hopes that they can grow up in peace and not have to fight serious battles at such a young age like he did. He wants his kits to have the freedom and happiness he never did growing up, though he will become very protective of them if he deems it necessary. Batgloom may struggle with expressing his love for his kits due to his general awkwardness when it comes to expressing his emotions. He might not be as present as he would like in the early moons of his kits as he is still grieving his mate, but he will not be intentionally neglectful of his kits. He will refer to Shiveringsong as his kits "Da".
