He is like a little grey shadow at Juniperstar's heels the moment Hollykit is able to walk, stumbling after his mother on legs that have barely learned to stay under him rather than flail pathetically along the ground. This morning however the young one is by himself in the camp clearing. Watching. Waiting. Hoping for someone to come close enough. For who, he's not entirely sure just yet.

Movement catches his eye and he drops into a crouch like he'd seen the apprentices do once or twice, rump wiggling for a heartbeat before he jumps forward. His outstretched claws catch on his target- someone's tail- and the kit lets out a shrill mewl of triumph at catching his 'prey'.

Looking up at the owner, Hollykit's lips curve into a smile. "I caught you, now you have to play with me."

Looking around, Fawnkit finally spotted what she had been searching for - a rock, beautifully sunlit by a beam of light. The perfect spot for a nap! The rock stood on the other side of the camp, which was a long trek for a tiny kitten like her, but she was determined to get to it before anyone else could steal it from right under her whiskers.

Fawnkit started her journey from the nursery, trotting confidently, as fast as her little legs would allow. She darted past a terrifying obstacle - a stray tuft of moss prepared to tangle her paws - and leapt over a pebble as though it were a boulder. The camp stretched out before her like an endless plain, but her determination burned brighter than the sun. She was so close now, nothing could stop her from reaching her prize. She couldn't wait to experience how warm the rock would be once she got there. The sunlight would make her fur nice and warm, her paws comfortable and her belly...- WHAM!

Fawnkit never got to finish her daydreaming, for she had been attacked! Spinning around and arching her back, she hissed at her attacker and prepared to scratch at their face. Her claws only a whisker-length away from them, she stopped, because she realised this was not the face of an intruder, but of another kitten. Embarrassed, she gave her bristled fur a few licks, as if that was her plan the whole time, and scoffed, "Hollykit, was it? What are you doing?" She turned around, nose held high, not meeting his eyes. "I have a very important mission to fulfill, you know!" Just then she noticed her perfect rock was no longer empty, already occupied by a warrior at rest. Oh, why must StarClan forsake me so... Fawnkit narrowed her eyes, looking directly into Hollykit's own. "It appears my plans have been foiled. Now you pay."

He'd seen the ghostly little kit once or twice, trailing after Juniperstar as the leader passed through camp, but he'd been one of the few peers that Thornkit had in ThunderClan that hadn't come up out of the blue and annoyed him - which was enough to grant Hollykit a spot in the very lacking good graces that Thornkit did possess. Beyond that, though, Thornkit had taken to ignoring the tomkit's presence, even if he had picked up on the strange way that Serpentberry acted whenever Hollykit was around - which he only deigned to notice and keep in mind because it was so similar to how the rest of ThunderClan regarded him, in a way. As if there was something about him that set him apart from everyone else, but everyone else was too polite to say anything about it - or, in Hollykit's case, because he had Juniperstar's protection.

The hierarchy of ThunderClan was the one thing that Thornkit had taken to trying to understand almost immediately, considering his place - and subsequently, his siblings' places - in the Clan depended on how the leaders of it perceived his presence. He knew that Serpentberry was a medicine cat, which placed her in a unique, irreplaceable - unless by her own paw - position, one that held the respect of her Clanmates, and Thornkit had foolishly assumed when he'd first arrived in this place that that alone secured his and his siblings' safety. Learning of the leader and deputy had rendered that safety uncertain - if those who held the real power, the fighting power, took issue with his presence, then they could all be swept right back out the camp entrance. He considered himself lucky that Juniperstar was a kindhearted leader, with a strange sort of relationship with Serpentberry that Thornkit couldn't define.

Regardless, Thornkit had filed away that he and Hollykit were in similar positions almost immediately. He hadn't seen the kit detached from Juniperstar before, but as he exited the medicine cat's den now, he caught sight of the pale tom hidden out of view a bit - Thornkit might have missed him altogether if not for his positioning, and it was clear that Fawnkit, walking nearby, hadn't seen him at all; confirmed by the way she rounded on Hollykit when he pounced, trapping her tail beneath his paws. Thornkit had meandered over in the meantime, and he eyed Fawnkit with clear amusement at her threat.

"Oh, watch out," Thornkit's voice dripped with sarcasm as he leaned closer to Hollykit, gaze never leaving Fawnkit, "she'll rabbit-kick you to death, this one."

Fawnkit's tail twitched in irritation. How was Thornkit always everywhere, ruining her fun? She was already fed up with the kitten, always poking at her and making her feel inferior and small.

Fawnkit turned around, leaving the two kittens, heading back into the nursery. She hoped she looked nonchalant, appearing as if Thornkit's stupid remarks didn't bother her, though she knew they crawled along her fur like tiny insects. She couldn't shake them off. Well if she couldn't shake them off, maybe she could wash them away! She took a bit of moss from her bedding and formed a plan in her head. Thornkit. Will. Pay.

She silently walked out of the nursery, making sure the two culprit kittens didn't spot her, and turned around to get behind the den. It had rained a bit the day before and there were still a few puddles left in camp. Crouching down and dropping her moss, she made sure it had completely soaked all over, before grabbing it again, a lot heavier, and slowly creeping back towards Thornkit and Hollykit. She slowly and carefully climbed up a rock overlooking the two and prepared for the perfect moment.

The moment the two kittens stood close to each other, she dropped the moss from the clutch of her teeth and watched it drop below, right on the kittens' heads - soaking them all over! She quickly ducked before they could spot it was her, satisfied with her revenge. That's what you get, Thornkit, for messing with me!

Hazykit hadn't followed her sister out the first time. It was only the second time, when Fawnkit appeared as if she had ants in her pelt, that the pale furred tabby decided to see what's gotten her tail in a knot. She sweeps her own grandeur towards the two tom kits, of which Fawnkit expertly avoids, and Hazykit doesn't alert them to her existence. Instead, she joins Hollykit and Thornkit, positing a quiet, accusatory, "What did you do?" to the both of them. Hollykit seems too small minded to have consciously caused trouble, yet trouble is all Thornkit causes at all.

Regardless, before she knows it, she's in the line of fire too. Fawnkit's prank splashes down muddy puddle water atop her crown, as well as likely the other two. She flinches, her shoulders pitching up in surprise, and her fur slicks to her rather thin frame. Hazykit presses her lips together in disdain, but still doesn't out her sister as the culprit.

A satisfied grin had crept its way across Thornkit's face when Fawnkit had left him and Hollykit. With another victory added to his ever-growing list, Thornkit returned his attention to Hollykit, giving the tom a quick once-over.

"Hmph. So, are you Juniperstar's kit, or do you just like tailing her?" Thornkit asked, no holds barred. The kit didn't share any particular resemblance with the ThunderClan leader that Thornkit could pick out with a glance, but that didn't mean that Hollykit wasn't Juniperstar's. After all, Thornkit could use himself and his littermates as reference - he didn't look anything close to Faithkit and Falsekit, but they were still family. He'd been about to ask the other kit more about his relationship with the leader, when their one-sided conversation was interrupted by the appearance of yet another kit, and a frown wormed its way back onto Thornkit's face.

"What did I do?" Thornkit grumbled defensively. He eyed Hollykit in his peripheral, and snorted. "We're playing, obviously. That's all you Clan kits really get to do, isn't it?" He cocked his head to the side, only for any following wit to be drowned out as a heavy mass fell onto his head from above, a wet smack resounding throughout the clearing. Shock came before the rising anger on his face, and Thornkit's tail lashed behind him as she flung the mossball from his head, water dripping down his face. "Who-?!"
