Spun from dewy morning silk and the pitch of river mud, Damselflyfrost is a sight to behold, even among her RiverClan peers. She stands at roughly ten inches tall, slender yet well-muscled, with a swanlike affect that suggests she is entirely conscious of her power as a beautiful cat. And, while her beauty is striking, it is not overtly feminine; Damselflyfrost maintains an ethereal sort of androgyny that could make any cat's heart flutter.
But all of this beauty does not mean she is prim or proper in the slightest. Rather, Damselflyfrost relaxes in contrapposto; never slouches but never stands quite straight. His movements are fluid and decisive, but not calculated; there simply exists such confidence in each impulse that the impression of calculation is made. His stillness often feels more decisive than his motion — a babbling brook of a cat, the moments where she freezes herself over become long and intense, no doubt accompanied by a pointed study of her object of interest; such oppressive attention may unnerve a subject with weak confidence.
It's a manufactured softness. The sweet, digestive fluid in the pitcher plant; the tickle of cilia on the fly trap before it snaps shut. When no one is watching, Damselflyfrost becomes sharper, colder, glows red with self-flagellation; his claws, tended with great care, dig deep into the flesh of his arms, curled fetal when out of sight.

The first thing one notices about Damselflyfrost is likely her appearance. There is a certain effortlessness to the way she moves that is striking, decisive; but this effortlessness is not simply a part of her appearance. It extends to her ease of speaking; the titillating way her watchful eyes might flay you open; the way she seems to act without hesitance. This confidence undoubtedly stems from his success as a warrior. With a natural aptitude for athletic pursuits, Damselflyfrost's duties to his Clan become friendly competitions between himself and his peers.On the surface the moggy is quite extroverted and kind. He is unafraid to approach his peers with the day's gossip or a friendly question, and genuinely enjoys small talk — especially what it can reveal. In reality Damselflyfrost's kindness can be quite shallow. Affable smiles or sugared words mask an aloof nature that allows her to float above her peers and their petty dramas; that allows her to judge them harshly, if she chooses. Surrounding herself with her peers is simply a means to an end; a strategy to suffocate the oppressive loneliness that plagues her in the dead of night.
But two things can be true at once: Damselflyfrost both loves and despises her clanmates. She loves them for the support she receives, for her genuine investment in their lives, and she hates them for being better than her, for the love they share among each other but not with her. And really this hatred comes from deep within her own heart, bruised by ego and expectation. Self-loathing is the engine that fuels much of Damselflyfrost's worst qualities. Raised with all of the pressure that comes with being an eldest daughter, Damselflyfrost despises herself at every imperfection, at every rush of adrenaline as he trysts along the borders, at every moment he selfishly puts his own needs before anyone else's.
ANTLION x UNKNOWN | Gen 1 | Sibling to Dragonflyflame
Damselflykit and Dragonflykit were born to a rough and tumble Shipyard cat named Antlion. A harsh survivalist, their mother raised them as rogues prior to the forming of the Clans, desperate for her daughters to survive and succeed in the harsh dockside environment. They were a tight-knit family, all working together to keep themselves thriving and surviving, with Antlion captaining them well. When RiverClan formed, it was only natural for Antlion and her kits to join the colony, finding strength in numbers.
From there Damselflypaw was trained both informally by her mother and formally by Silverspirit, a level-headed tom who pushed Damselflypaw to be the best warrior he could be. No cat could predict the tragedy that would soon befall them. Shortly after the siblings' apprentice ceremony, Antlion died under unexplained circumstances. Shaken by her death, Damselflypaw vowed to train more harshly in hopes that she might protect Dragonflypaw, paranoid that her sister might meet the same fate.
