'Cause I'd get a thousand hugs from ten thousand lightning bugs
As they tried to teach me how to dance
A foxtrot above my head, a sock hop beneath my bed
A disco ball is just hanging by a thread

Excited, the young paw trotted eagerly after Fogstare, her good eye sparkling with joy and a wide smile stretched across her face. " And there's beetles down there! Beetles, you see? " she mewed, practically dancing around the older cat as she spoke. " I collect the shells, but only when they've, uh, passed on. I'd never hurt a beetle just to get them, that'd be so mean… " She nodded seriously, then brightened again. " Sometimes you can find shiny rocks too! All sorts of things if you know where to look! Talking about, I need to collect some new ones... I'm missing a lot now because I gave everyone one to protect them... They're like little stars, you see? "
Her step was bouncy, her voice full of delight and energy. " Did you find anything neat down there? Or did you just go for fun? " she asked, glancing up at Fogstare. " Sometimes I like going down just to... listen. To the quiet, y'know? " she added, her voice dipping into something softer, almost shy. " Does that sound weird? I guess you can't really listen to silence, huh? Not really... " She stopped briefly, her whiskers twitching with thought. Blossomtail wasn't with her right now, but Fogstare was. And Fogstare knew tunnels, just like she wanted to. Surely, she could learn something just by being near him.
Her eye lit up again. " What do you like most about going down there? " she asked earnestly, tilting her head, tail tip flicking in anticipation.
