JINGLEMOON, 22 Moons, Riverclan Medicine Cat // He/They // #3b90ff
A long furred blue tabby tom with low white, long pointed ears with curved tips and dazzling blue eyes.
Sibling to ASTRO, Uncle to TWINKLEPAW, ECLIPSE and COMET
Always walks with a jingle in his step! Good listener and ever curious about the world.

Jinglemoon had felt giddy from his nose to his tail-tip once he'd heard Pike and Smoke had now returned from Highstones-- Ever since he had received that strange dream with Phloxwish he'd been thinking about how to tell their new leader about it. The StarClan cat had encouraged him to tell Pike after all and had assured him that the other tom would understand once he did too. It was such a strange thing to explain though... He now understood how poor Pike had felt when the clan first arrived here and felt a pang of guilt for not having spoken up siding with the tom initially. If only he knew then what he knew now!

Once Pikestar as he was now known as had finished giving out the first lot of Warrior names and dismissed the meeting for today the blue tabby tom would waste no time in hurrying over and asking to speak to him in private, he knew Pikestar would be tired from his journey to and back from Highstones but he didn't want to keep himself, Pike or StarClan waiting any longer-- Thankfully Pikestar agreed to speak with him despite his exhaustion! All he had to do now was to try and explain the dream he had had in a way that didn't sound like he just had bees in his brain.

"My many apologies Pike-- Pikestar I know you're no doubt in need of a good rest after your trip but this was too important to wait" He'd mew urgently as he padded away from the willow tree where the meeting had taken place, hoping to find a nice shady but quiet spot for them to talk. "You see, during our first night here as a Clan I was visited by a cat in my dreams." He began, sitting himself down and tucking his tail over his paws before continuing. "This cat called themselves 'Phloxwish' and that they were part of the StarClan you mentioned when we first arrived here" Jinglemoon would shuffle his paws a little anxiously, did Pikestar even know of a Phloxwish? Had they visited him too? "He said that... 'The Stars themselves had chosen me to be RiverClans' first Medicine Cat'" He'd look to Pikestar now and tried to gauge what the other tom might be thinking after hearing all of this.

Pikestar hadn't mentioned anything about a Medicine Cat in his initial speech about RiverClan and StarClan and whatnot, would the leader even know what he was talking about? Or had he sounded as mouse-brained as Pike had to some of the others when he was the one mewing about StarClan and dreams? "H-he said you would understand when I told you-- And named me Jinglemoon for some reason as well!-" Phloxwish had said the reason and meaning for the gained suffix but Jinglemoon was starting to become a little unsure on if he should've said anything about this dream at all, Pikestar needed rest especially after he'd started to put into motion the true formation of their Clan, did he really need to hear all of this right now? Did literally any of it make any sense? Had Phloxwish told him to do this just to make him look silly in front of their new Clan Leader? Jinglemoon usually didn't mind looking a little silly-- He had bells snagged in his fur all the time and jingled with every step after all! But this felt like too serious a thing to joke about!

OOC- @PIKESTAR This takes place just after Pikestar's first lot of naming!

To be honest he didn't want to get off the stump so soon, but he knew better than to sleep on it. Still, it's a pain to get down after everything. With a grunt he does the monumental task of clambering down the willow tree, fully prepared to retire for the day. That is until he is approached by Jingle. He isn't particularly close to the other, but he is leader and it seemed like the blue tom had something on his mind. Please don't tell me something bad happened. Please let it be something silly, so I can finally sleep. I don't even want to make a nest. Eh, it would be a crummy nest anyway. It wouldn't have any nice rocks to lay on. I should... Find some nice stones around here. ANNNNDD I'm getting distracted. Focus Pike. You can do this!

It
"Y-you don't have to be so formal. You can still call me Pike,"
he mews while following Jingle. The shade is nice, it is a small comfort that will sustain him until he is free from whatever Jingle wants to discuss with him. Cat of your dreams?! Immediately his spine straightens as green eyes narrow in the direction of the other tom. The exhaustion he felt from the trip practically evaporates. Phloxwish?! A beaming grin curls from his lips as his tail begins to wag akin to a dog when excited. It does not help either that his paws refuse to stay still, shuffling with rekindled vigor. YOU'RE HERE! YOU'RE FINALLY HERE! GOSH. Seabriar told me they'll send us a healer, but it's not like he said when! Geez, and here I thought we'd have to find a new cat or something. Y'know... Starclanner's aren't really clear with timing stuff, huh. BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER ANYMORE! You're here, so we got our healer guy. Ah, yes, Medicine Cat like you're saying.

Even though Pikestar hadn't said anything yet, it was more than obvious that this information was not startling. As soon as Jingle finishes his explanation, he moves forward without any warning and grabs the blue healer's paw with his own, shaking it frantically.
"Jinglemoon, wowzers. Can't say I was expecting you, cause the first time I was told about any medicine, healer cat was that they'll come soon. I did see Phloxwish, but they never mentioned you by name either! At this point I think they're getting a kick out of being vague with all the super serious stuff. Like? Can't give me a hint about the color of their fur or something? But I guessss.... They did say the healer will come to me, which! You did, so it all turned out all right I'd say."

He hasn't stopped shaking Jinglemoon's paws at all. The excitement of it all making him forget that the other might be uncomfortable by this breach of personal space. After all, the pair weren't exactly close before this. The only reason now they finally spoke with one another was because the stars had visited them and gave each of them their own mission.
"I'm not sure what a medicine cat does, other than, uhhh, you know healing? Taking care of the wounded and sick, stuff like that. And I don't know anything like that, but I'll do my best to support you! After all, we both got our jobs from the starclan cats. Actually! Do you need a den or something?"
I was just gonna throw the healer, medicine cat in the den with the other adults. Warriors. They're warriors now Pike. Soooo that makes the den a warrior's den? Throwing a medicine cat in a warrior's den feels wrong... HMMMMMM. I don't even know much leader stuff either.

"A-are you sure?" Jinglemoon sounded uncertain when asking, would this Starclan really be okay with him just calling Pike... Pike? They had named him Pikestar now after all and given him the title of Leader over their new found Clan. If... If Pike said it was okay though then surely it was? Jinglemoon would watch carefully each time he looked to Pike when explaining himself and the way the other tom responded seemed like he was taking the news positively! The big grin, the tail wag and the excitedly shuffled paws? He had seemed so tired just moments ago! Now he certainly had a bit more of pep in his step!

Most relieving of all though was that Pike didn't look like he was alarmed or even confused by this news, Jinglemoon on the other paw looked at first a little startled at having one of his paws grabbed before realizing that the leader had just done so in order to give it a frantic shaking! The three remaining bells in Jinglemoon's fur would rattle about and jingle cheerfully during this shake up. "I was just as surprised!-- W-wait you'd already been told about a medicine cat? You saw Phloxwish too!?" Jinglemoon's eyes seemed to visibly spark with curious interest-- But Pike hadn't mentioned anything about a healer in his first speech to the Clan? How long had he known to wait for one! Maybe he hadn't said anything because what he had said was already a lot to chew for some of the other cats... Yeah Jinglemoon probably wouldn't of mentioned it either. But then he'd met Phloxwish too! "Phloxwish didn't even mention me to you? How long have you known a healer would come? I'm sorry I kept you waiting!-- Honestly I'd have to agree! I wasn't told much either and they didn't even let me get a word out to them when I met them! I still have so many unanswered questions!" He'd huff lightly but also sounded relieved that another cat was in the same boat as him, at least he wasn't alone with not understanding this Starclan stuff fully even though they had spoken to them both.

Pikestar was right though, in the end it all turned out okay and at least Phloxwish had been honest and right in that Pike would understand once told about the dream visit. But what now? Jinglemoon couldn't help but to smile at their leaders' enthusiasm-- Pike was still shaking his paw even now! It would probably start to make him a little dizzy eventually but for now he let Pike share in his excitement, he probably needed it after such a long day. The two toms hadn't really been close at all before now but Jinglemoon beamed at how Pikestar jumped to offer assistance even when they both didn't fully know yet the tasks that laid ahead of them. Maybe some saw Pike as someone who was unfit to be a leader, someone who was too air-headed and clumsy for such a role, but Jinglemoon disagreed- He saw the makings of a kind cat who even when unsure of the task he'd still try his best to offer help, most of all though he saw the makings of a great friend.

Jinglemoon blinked suddenly in confusion when asked if he needed a den-- A den? Just for him? Well, no not just for him silly! But a den for healing in general! It didn't sound like a bad idea actually and the makeshift one that held the kits and the injured wasn't going to work for the long run. "I... I hadn't thought that far ahead admittedly but yanno that sounds like a great idea actually! I could store cobwebs and all sorts of stuff in there-- And the injured or sick will then have someplace dedicated to them to rest and recover in!" Jinglemoon would take his paws back this time but only because he needed them in order to start dancing on the spot excitedly! Tippy-tappying his paws at the idea, something like that would've been so helpful back at the shelter collapse by the abandoned docks but... Well, they could only learn from that now. "I don't mind helping to make the den myself too-- But where would we put it?" He glanced around the area that they were in briefly wondering what spot might be best to start before then looking back to Pikestar, "Oh and uhm... How am I to tell the other cats also? About this whole Medicine cat stuff? Phloxwish said you would understand but I don't know if the others will"

"Definitely, it's still kinda weird being called Pikestar."
Maybe such an admission was a bit strange. Or maybe it was a perfectly reasonable way of thinking. Considering he'd been thrusted into this position by starry cats that decided for whatever reason that he was meant to lead Riverclan. If there was ever a time in the future when he became more competent as a leader, his preference wouldn't change. He'd like to be called Pike, no matter how informal it would be in the situation. Anyhow, there were more important things! Like Jinglemoon giving him wonderful and exciting news!

The bells that jingled with the force he'd been shaking the poor blue tom fell on deaf ears, only dedicating his attention to every word Jinglemoon had spoke of. His grin only grows larger as he nods his head,
"Yep! Yep! Been told about one a looong time ago. And I sure did! Phloxwish gave me a life after all!"
Okay. So maybe telling Jinglemoon about lives was not the most brightest idea ever, but sue him! He was excited! It's not like the Starclanners told him he couldn't talk about it. He already told Smokewreath about it anyway, and nothing bad happened. He just... Failed to mention it at the meeting because it seemed more outrageous to say he now had nine lives and no. He did not want anyone to test the theory. Poor Jinglemoon wouldn't even have the chance to ask him in that moment as he quickly added,
"Awwwwww. Really? Makes sense though, when Seabriar first told me of a medicine cat he never gave me a name. Phloxwish I think was teasing me with his oooOOOooo there's a surprise waiting for you. And I guessss that's you. Unless Phlox totally means something else and now I'm worried. Oh! I knew when the shelter collapsed. Around that time, yeah. Why don't we scream for them in our dreams until they show up? Maybe we'll get our answers then?"
While he is totally not sure that would work in any capacity, he can imagine Seabriar's scowl clearly. The thought is enough to make him chuff.

If he had the ability to peer into Jinglemoon's mind he would instantly reject the idea that he had the makings of a leader. He was clumsy, air-headed, and frankly a coward. Those who had given him lives spared him their wisdom and while it was nice, he felt the crushing weight of responsibility. Of their faith. Patience they said. He must be patient with himself and his faults. It was utterly terrifying in how much they believed in him. They saw something within him that he couldn't. However, there was one thing he would've agreed with. He would agree that they would be the best of friends. If Jinglemoon told him he would like a future in which they grew old together, he would be overjoyed.

Ramblings aside, the moment Jinglemoon had taken his paws back, the medicine cat would be met with a pout. That is until Pike began mimicking the blue tom's excited movements. It was almost as if they were kits, getting ready for game of exploration. It was short lived however. Unfortunately, Pike was reminded of their... Situation. It was awfully amusing to see his own dancing cease, and his face contort into deep thought. He's got a point there. They thought I was making stuff up when I first told them. I'd rather have them get more angry at me than Jingle here.
"HMMMMMM...."
What to do? Come on Pike, get that noggin working! What makes cats believe? What makes... What makes you believe?
"Seeing is believing, isn't it?"

Smokewreath had thought he'd been bluffing until he'd seen the starry cats himself. As much as the black tom wanted to refute the possibility that this was all something Pike had made up himself (he knew he was creative but he wouldn't come up with nine lives and all that jazz), he had seen Dewdrop. The both of them had seen her and she was someone they both knew. I fully doubt they'd come down again and explain everything because it can never be that easy for some reason. They really could've just helped me explain by showing up. ANYWAY, back on track Pike.
"Cats still think I'm making stuff up and that's okay. I get it. I'm not much different than before. It's not like I have some power that sees into the future or anything like that. I don't really have leader like skills either. But you... You can show them Jinglemoon. Show them what a medicine cat does by looking after them when they're sick or when they're injured."
Yes, that line of action would work. After all, cats would warm up to a medicine cat if they felt secure. Those who were injured wouldn't fear infection or meeting a terrible fate as much with a healer around.

While his idea of making a den for Jinglemoon was more of a suggestion, he couldn't help but feel as if there was no other way. Green eyes scan the camp, or... What was there so far. We still have a lot to do.
"What spot is calling out to you? I mean, this is gonna be your den after all. I think having a welcoming spot would make people feel a bit more safe. Not saying you're not making them safe, because that's just not true. Everyone's gonna feel a lot more relaxed with a healer around. Just imagine being super sick or hurt and you're right next to the entrance of our camp? What if like some fox comes out? The medicine den is the closest den. I'm, uhm, rambling, aren't I?"
The embarrassment gets to him, that he can't look Jinglemoon in the eyes. The floor is leagues more interesting in this moment to him than anything else apparently. Hopefully, the healer doesn't take any offense to his sudden flustered demeanor.
