Ducklingkit can't help but feel eager at the idea that he'd become an apprentice this moon and he can't help but ponder who may be his mentor, who he would learn from until he too became a warrior, and his tail quivers with excitement though there's a subtle sadness in his heart. That meant he wouldn't be sharing a nest with his littermates or his mother anymore, at least, with Berrykit and Dovekit they could potentially place their nests next to one another but Starlingtrail would return to the warriors den to rest with Chrysalisgaze. He supposed that things would change once Hawkstar reached the point where they would announce the meeting and Ducklingkit along with his siblings would be made apprentices, he tries to think of happier thoughts... like becoming an apprentice and getting to explore the territory for the first time!
Oh, he could potentially train with Goatpaw and they'd be denmates again before he becomes a warrior but... that would be some moons later, wouldn't it?
Ducklingkit's whiskers quiver as he contemplates these thoughts and his snout wrinkles before noticing that his mother had stepped out of the nursery to join him outside where frost and freshly fallen snow rests underneath his paws "Mama bird!" He says in a high-pitched trill almost like a songbird as he bounces up onto his paws and closes the distance between them so he may rest his chin on her ivory chest, he peers up at her lovingly, and his throat rumbles with the loudest of purrs. The young soul still ponders on who his mentor may be and blinks up at his mother, he settles down on his haunches so that he may rest against one of her legs, and parts his jaws to ask "Mama? Who d'ya think will mentor me, Berrykit, and Dovekit?

ducklingkit is a bright, friendly individual that seems to bring the sun wherever he seems to go. he can be rather hotheaded or stubborn to try getting the things he wants and can never seem to focus on anything for too long if he doesn't deem it interesting enough. the young kitten is a daydreamer and whenever he isn't focused on play or asking a million questions, he tends to wander off in his own mind.
