As much as Slugpaw cursed the ground Talon walked on, he had to admit that the camp felt empty without him. He wondered if there was a part of him that actually cared about the tom? No, he was sure that he was just worried about how much time the tom was getting to spend with Meadowpaw right under his nose. His nose crinkled at the thought, dreading the possibility of talon with that disgusting fake sweetness announcing to the other tom that him and Meadowpaw had become mates. He scowled, his legs carrying him into the Medicine Den faster than his mind could react.
He entered and was met with the sight of the tom, looking much worse for ware than he had considered possible. He had heard it was a Shadowclan Apprentice, but could an apprentice have really done this? "You look like you got dragged across the moors." Slugpaw started, not even looking to see if the tom was actually awake or looking in his direction. His tone was cold, even. He didn't really care what Talon thought, or how Talon felt. Or at least, that's what he told himself.
"You really let a Shadowclan apprentice best you?" He smirked, "I took you for a better warrior than that." He eyed the massive gash on his shoulder, it hardly looked like it had been treated. Slugpaw felt himself soften without meaning to, his tone low.
"Do you need anything to eat?" God, what was he doing? He hated this tom, but... did he really? He could feel a dull ache in his body, a feeling of pity for him --- a feeling that he actually cared about the state he was in.
