Though far from delicately built, Thorn is not a large cat by any means. He is very sleek and compact, with almost dainty, attractive facial features that betray his abrasive personality. He has shiny black fur that covers most of his body, only intersected at the waist by a red that encapsulates his hindquarters and the top half of his thick tail; this red blends with black at the waist with a pattern reminiscent of fish scales, shimmering in their likeness. He has a dark gray underbelly, under-eyes, and blaze on his nose, with a lighter gray layering it. This lighter gray also makes itself known as measured freckles on his cheeks. Sharp, pale green eyes seem almost bright in the darkness of his face.
He seems to be constantly in motion: whether it be as blatant as pacing, or as subtle as flicks of his tail-tip, he is never truly still.

With hazy memories of who he was before being taken to ThunderClan, Thorn grows up under Serpentberry's carefully constructed parenting, encasing him in a bubble of her worst qualities. Assured of Serpentberry's importance and ability within the Clan, Thorn applies that same judgment to himself, growing arrogant: he is the medicine cat's son, the son of ThunderClan's founding leader, and, more than that, he believes himself a capable individual in his own right - which, although exacerbated by his own self-importance, isn't far off. If Thorn were less cruel, less selfish, he would prove to be a model ThunderClanner.
Unfortunately, Thorn is all of those things and more. His jagged edges cut all, Clanmates included, with only Serpentberry and Faithkit spared that pain; and if he is so dismissive of his own Clanmates, Thorn's ruthlessness, combined with his apathy, proves to be dangerous indeed to any outside of his Clan. Enemies to Thorn and his family are living on borrowed time once he's made up his mind and passed judgment on them. The punishments that do manage to slip past Serpentberry's filter do little to change Thorn's mindset, seeing as he is so assured of his own righteousness - in fact, though he may not see it, Serpentberry's direction and goals may blur with his own.
Thorn's affections are reserved for Serpentberry and Faithkit alone, and even they are occasionally subjected to his mood-swings. His fealty is sworn to whichever group they want to be in, and though this renders his loyalty conditional, while ThunderClan has it he will do everything in his power to keep up their defense and strength. Despite this, because Thorn is so sure of himself and his looks - which he often boasts of - he can be a bit weak to fawning compliments and positive attention. While generally bad-tempered, he can gather up enough charm to entertain admirers.
