{$title} Prompt: A small trickle of a stream has formed in the camp. It seems to carry with it a variety of important things: medicine, twigs, moss. You're straight up being robbed by the rain!
Branchkit sat on her haunches, blinking as the drip-drip-drip of previous rain fell on her whiskers from the edge of the den's entrance above. Though still quite young, the overcast skies gave her a bit more comfort in looking outside, watching the family meander around.
Momma had said she and the others were too young to spend much time out of the den, but she couldn't help but be curious about the rest of the family that spent their lives out of the safety of the nest. What could be out there, she wondered, that drew them so far from home? Her paws fiddled with one of the feathers Merrystalk had brought them- the little thing had seen better days, but she liked it all the same. It was soft.
A burst of wind splattered more water upon her head, and the feather tore itself loose from tiny paws. Her squeak of indignation died out as she watched it flutter and twist in the air before landing in the tiny stream that had formed in home after all the rain. The current had been growing ever quicker, and after only a moment of watching, the little feather was gone.
WIthout waiting to ask Momma for help, she bounded after the stream, leading it out of home without realizing the safety she'd left behind.
