Hyacinthrain thought eventually the pain would go away. It did, it slowly numbed day by day, but it was so so hard, and it never seemed to actually go away. They had spent many days curling their mismarched body of their parents into their mother's fur, pressing close, missing the days when they were young- but, it was the life of a warrior. They no longer blamed themself; their stupidity to get their mother caught up in their fight and defending them, rather than being beside their father. But it didn't mean it made the anxiety any easier. The days became a blur, but it became easier to handle.

The nervous smile had reappeared on their muzzle, and Hyacinthrain looked to the clouds not just to wonder about their father- but to also see the beauty in them again. To remind them why they continued to train, to continue to get stronger. Hyacinthrain had begun looking for the light- and no one ever said it was easy. Their tail tip twitched, and suddenly, the feline had felt a presence. Mismatched eyes blinked slowly, before moving to give a small smile towards the kit sneaking up on them. "Fawnkit," they purred softly, nervousness shown in another twitch of her tail tip. "Have you ever looked for shapes in the clouds? Come.. come here, little one..." They said softly, beckoning with her mottled paw to the empty space besides them.

"Look-" lifting their head back up, blue and orange eyes moving up to the clouds, the white toed paw used to beckon the kit moving up to point at the clouds. A specific one- "do you see it? It looks like a mouse."

Please wait for @Fawnkit

She had been looking around the camp, wondering what to do, when she spotted Hyacinthrain. They had seemed down, slow in their movement, as if something was wrong. Was this something Fawnkit could fix? She wanted to try at least.

Fawnkit approached the warrior, but before she even had the chance to ask, Hyacinthrain already started showing Fawnkit the clouds, and her being her, she immediatelly forgot what she came there to do in the first place. "You're right! Like a fat, juicy mouse..." she licked her mouth hungrily. "And that one, Hyacinthrain?" Fawnkit pointed at a different cloud. "It reminds me of the tallrock!"

Fawnkit's imagination was not the most creative, but she tried to see shapes in the clouds, like she's seen others do at times. But her brain didn't seem to want to connect what she saw with anything tangible, at least not now. "Sorry Hyacinthrain... this is very difficult. I am better at hearing things than seeing them i think." Fawnkit twitched her ears. "Like the thrush that sits and sings just behind the camp walls, do you hear it Hyacinthrain?"

She twitched her tail in the direction of a nearby bush. "Or the beetle, trying to climb up that shrub?"

Yes, today was one of those days that Fawnkit's mind didn't have the capacity to imagine things - but her ears have never failed her! Hopefully Hyacinthrain didn't mind the change of topic.
