Lilacbird squeaked softly as she pulled back as the water wafted up the shore. Her heart thudded as the water touched her paws, and her steps were unsteady but quick to move away from the edge- even as Pikestar stayed where they previously were. This had to have been the third time they had come close to them, yet the small warrior ended pulling back each time. Fluffy tailed pulled beside her leg, setting the opalescent curved shell with her pile she had managed to grab before it came up. "H-have y-yuh-you managed t-to find a f-favorite of th-this search yet?" Lilacbird asked softly, trying to raise her voice enough for the leader to hear her. Sure, it made the stuttering worse, but it was better than not being able to be heard.
The lilac and cream torbie swished her tail over the sand, paws kneading into the granules of beige sand she knew had no point to try to clean. The sand made it's place in their fur, and she would be surprised if anyone would find a day without sand in their pelt. "I... I th-think this one is mine," she said, picking up a spiraled dingy yellow shell that narrowed to a point. She suspected something lived in it prior to her finding it, but she wasn't too sure. Perhaps nothing had made it's home in one of these shells at one point. Cerulean eyes lifted back up to the leader, a soft smile on her maw. She didn't expect him to have joined her, but he ended up doing it without a second of hesitance.
