Talon was sore. His body ached and screamed, but he persisted. He'd wound up further than he expected, but he ended out of it not only with prey, but with herbs. Marigold clung to his helm as he situated himself to have carried the rabbit as well. He'd have to go back for the mice, but nonetheless, he'd managed this much on his first trip.

"Meadowpaw." He greeted, before following up along with a- "Yewkit." He dropped the carcass at their paws, the femme seeming more than exhausted, but talon just had to keep going. He didn't know how to comfort her- she went through a lot today. And no matter how sore he was, how tired he was, he was used to it. Meadowpaw needed the rest, but he knew she wouldn't stop. Not when there was so much to do. "Eat up. I've got more coming." He stated plainly, shoving the smaller sized rabbit towards them. He'd begun to turn, almost forgetting before pausing. "Oh, and take this," Talon pulled a paw over his head to knock the flower from his ear. "Marigold, if I remember correctly." He stated, with a small hum. Without another word he continued on, turning to leave after she took it.

Hopefully it would avoid questions.

Talonpaw had taken some time finding and digging back up the other creatures that he had caught. A total of a rabbit, three mice, and marigold. He'd say it was a pretty good haul. The light above their heads had begun to dim, and with it took Talons warmth as he ignored the pang in his shoulder that he felt more his arm stretched. He'd completely forgotten Slugpaws competition at this point, the three mice dangling by their tails as he dropped them and settled finally on his limbs, crossing his front paws. It had been several hours since he left, and he finally would rest his sore and tired paws.

Stars, he was exhausted.

YEWKIT

.

Yewkit watched as Talon brought the rabbit and medicine to their temporary harbour, hurrying out just as quickly as he had arrived. Eat up, he had said. But Yewkit knew better - she had already caused enough trouble. The more time passed, the more she regretted what she had done - not that she regretted helping Meadowpaw and saving the herb stock, but... she shouldn't have left mother's side and she certainly shouldn't have ran into the oncoming danger in the form of the flood. She knew that when mother and her meet again (if mother and her meet again, she thought, panic threatening to well up again), Plague would be dissapointed in her.

But maybe mother being dissapointed in her would be the better outcome, because...what if she never saw mother again? If something happened to her and Yewkit wasn't there to help, what would she do then? Tears threatened to pour out of her eyes again, but she pushed them away. Her tears would just be an unwelcome distraction in an already stressful situation and she didn't plan on causing any more trouble. She couldn't cause any more trouble.

And now she mainly just sat and watched as Meadowpaw did everything she could to help their injured clanmates. What was Yewkit doing? Pretty much nothing, just trying not to be in the way. So when Talon brought the rabbit for them to eat, Yewkit knew better. There were others who needed it a lot more than she did, who deserved it a lot more than she did. Her belly rumbled, of course, but she came out of this whole situation unscathed - unlike others. The time spent on saving her could have been spent on saving others, ones that Meadowpaw now had to treat, with what little herbs they had.

Yewkit's mind hurt, the world around her spinning out of control. Everything felt like it was her fault, and what if it was? If she hadn't been there, no one would need to have saved her. If no one needed to save her, time could have been spent helping someone else. If they had helped someone else, there would be less injuries now. No No. She wasn't going to waste any other precious resources. She wasn't going to waste anybody's time, their food nor medicine.

Yewkit's chest hurt, as if she had swallowed a ball of moss, but the moss transformed into thorns and was stabbing her from the inside. Her lungs empty, yet she couldn't find the will to breathe.

Everything was her fault, wasn't it?

Yewkit realised she had been staring at the rabbit in front of them for a long time, unaware of others talking around her. Has anyone said her name? She didn't know. Her eyes darted from the rabbit towards her injured clanmates and she spun around. She couldn't do this, she couldn't be here. She didn't deserve their time. She walked with quick steps towards the thick part of the field, cloaked in shadow. She didn't deserve their attention. She breathed out heavily - had she been holding her breath this whole time? She didn't deserve their food.

She lay there, breathing heavy, hidden in the dark. And when Talon came back with more food, she wasn't there anymore. She didn't deserve to be.
