Medicine Cat
the first break of morning is when she finally arrives home. swallowbreeze's shoulder pushes past the camp entrance, entering camp right when dawn patrols are about to be set out. her body years to sleep for two days after traveling most of yesterday, but there are important things to be said— skyclan deserves to know they finally have a real medicine cat healing their wounds.
"um... hello, everyone?" an entire night's worth of talking with strange adults, earning her full name, and she still can't properly call people's attention. "i have finished my first half-moon meeting with the other medicine cats, and... uhm... starclan has recognized me as a full medicine cat. my name is swallowbreeze, now." she nods, half-lidded eyes looking at her clanmates.
// this thread is backwritten and takes place the morning after june 19th & skyclan would have been aware of the half-moon meeting

Senior Warrior
She'd been a young thing when Lionfire's brother went missin'. Barely out of the nest when she'd been made medicine apprentice, and shortly then, SkyClan's only medicine cat. Time hadn't been kind, though it never was to most folk. A bittersweet pill to swallow in the light of things.
"Kiddo." He greeted with a slow dip of his head, mangled ears swivilin' at the announcement with a subtle quirk of his lips.
"Well, reckon a congratulation is in order, eh?" He mused deadpan. His bulky frame ripplin' as he moved to watch the other, now a full-fledged medicine cat.
"Honor to work beside ya Swallowbreeze." His lips became more pronounced.
"Ya done good, squirt."

DUSKPOOL he/him a storm carved in flesh and smoke, duskpool towers with the bulk of a maine coon and norwegin forest cat. his wooly black pelt bristles with ghost-stripes and scars—old wounds etched like lightning through dusk. one copper eye burns like molten steel and the other a mangled ruin of war. every step is heavy, thunderous—war-born, death-burdened, and unflinchingly alive.

TEASELPAW
Over hill, over dale, through the valley and vale
do not weep, do not wail, I am coming home to you
Swallowpaw's return was met with warm eyes and a small, serene smile. Teaselpaw dipped their head in quiet greeting, a soft gesture that carried all the emotion they didn't speak aloud. Relief flooded their chest. She was safe—that was what mattered most. All the tension, the noise, the rising storm of other clans, it had set their fur on edge for days now. But she was here. She had come back. And now... she bore a new name. Their eyes widened in quiet wonder as it sank in, the weight of it settling like sunlight over morning mist.
Swallowbreeze.
A gentle mrrrp escaped them as they rose to their paws, padding over with slow steps. Their tail brushed lightly against her flank, a touch full of reverence and wordless pride. " Congratulations. "
The word was barely more than a breath, soft, like leaves turning in the wind, but it held the strength of their admiration.
Swallowbreeze. A name carried on wind and grace. A name earned. A name that fit her perfectly.

"It suits you." Hawkstar is not one for compliments. She is not one for sentiment. She had never been a cat that was particularly comforting or kind. But now, there is a twinkle in Hawkstar's good eye that is just a bit too prominent to be a glancing of the morning sun. Any other cat would describe it as pride.
For Hawkstar, it was just relief.
SkyClan had a full medicine cat. StarClan had allowed them that much. They were not going to be wiped out by their ancestors after all, not if they had granted Swallowbreeze a name and access to their ranks.
"Your accomplishment is an asset to your clan. Keep it up," she flicks her tail before retreating back to her perch, though not before a rusty purr squeaked its way out from her vocal chords.
Traitorous throat.

A rake of claws against a mirror - grazing pelts we all once wore.
He's already up for dawn patrol, his third time in a row doing it because he had clearly ticked Hawkstar off at some point and wasn't aware of it, but Mousefang enjoyed the mornings even if the act of waking up was such a chore at times. His green gaze slowly drifted to the entrance of the camp as their wayward medicine cat apprentice returned from her meeting - some gathering of healers beneath the moon, he could hardly understand it but it wasn't his place to question. When she spoke up of her name his partial attention focused in more directly, eyes blinking in surprise.
"Swallowbreeze." He repeats, testing the sound, its a strong name for a cat who has more than earned her right to a full title since the loss of Tigerfoot. It speaks of open skies, the shadow of a bird overhead like a guardian looking down. Apt. "It does suit you." Mousefang says quietly, agreeing with Hawkstar for once - though he doesn't linger on it long before looking away. There were things to do, tasks to tend, they had a medicine cat named fully by StarClan and that was enough comfort to continue his days unburdened. For a moment he'd been worried about the pale apprentice, remembering the fear in her eyes when Fujimoto fell, unsure of how to fix the issue and now here she stood strong and proud. A farcry from the curious and quiet kit who had shown a penchant for plants in the past.
