JULY 2025 UPDATES

It's July and that means we finally close out the finale of our first SITE EVENT! The clans have been encouraged to interact and develop organic political oppositions and friendships over the last few months leading up to this, our FIRST GATHERING!

No further threads for the event can be made, however users are welcome to reply still to existing threads to complete their requirements as needed for the time being (we have not decide a cutoff for this as of right now, so take your time-you'll be given ample warning!) Over the next few days make sure to post to your clan hubs so we can tally points an determine which clan had the most!

We will be organizing a survey to grab some feedback on how to improve for future events as well as hear what worked well; please keep an eye out. We expect there to have been hiccups and oopsies so all input it welcome, we only ask you keep critiques constructive and polite.

We have introduced soft quotas for all site HPS, starting at five posts a month with some other general requirements for discord presence. Please keep in mind that missing one quota is not the end of the world; just communicate absences as clearly as you can with your team. We all have lives outside of kitty cat posting, don't be afraid to have plans and do stuff... kick back and enjoy the hobby and the sun, bro!

We have added a new thread prefix for Gathering 2025! Any private or small group threads taking place at Gatherings can use this tag for easy searching and referencing later. Please note that all formal announcements at the Gatherings will take place in the leader-posted mass threads so important information won't be lost in private threads. Our first Gathering is a free-for-all that all may attend but going forward, leaders will be hand selecting small groups to attend each one. Please reach out to your respective leader if you have a request to attend a specific Gathering or if you have questions on how they'll be choosing attendees next time!

PATCH NOTES

GENERAL PATCHNOTES [Copy/Pasted from the Discord]
Updates: 6/17/25

The shop now has two new item types!
The first is your BASE RANKS ! These include your character's position in the clan such as: apprentice, warrior, elder, etc....
The second is UNIQUE RANKS ! These are each clans unique subrank to warrior, you will still be considered a warrior but these allow a character a more specific niche to fill in their clan if they desire!

As a result of these banner types being added, the RANK custom field has been removed!

High positions do not need to apply any group roles, I have attached the automated roles to their HP badges and those will pop up eventually on their own!

Added the WarriorClan unique ranks and Rustclaw ranks!

Realized that while we've explained it in the discord, our check-in tutorial did not have the information itself in an easily viewable manner so we have added some edits to it to correct this!

You guys are gonna love this one. Sick of copy/pasting your templates to each post? Well, now you can save them per character account using the POST STYLE style setting.
At the very bottom of this page option you will see 'DEFAULT BBCODE' just copy/paste your template there and make sure the section you add your RP text to has a {$message} in the middle of it!
This will tell the code that the text of your post needs to be surrounded by that!
You may still use some bbcode in your post itself, such as coloring your text and adding italics etc...

Important Please do not use the default settings such as font, glow, etc to make your posts unreadable and do not use these if you have a saved template as it WILL interfere with the bbcode! If you use the optional settings for your main account posts just keep in mind they still must be legible!

The poststyle plugin has a limit of 200 characters currently so it will not work with larger post templates.
Currently I'm chatting with the developer to increase this, please leave your feeback for the character account in #⁠coding-discussions !

We've updated our naming guidelines with a new rule regarding rank names.
- The word 'Star', sorry - no Starstar for you!
- Similar to the above, the ranks themselves can not be used as names. (ex. Warriorpaw, Kitfang etc...)
[This does not include the specialty ranks for the clans that are specific to our site and only includes canon ranks.]

Social media icons have been added, you will need to fill back in your custom user fields to get Discord and Bluesky etc to show but now symbols of these sites rather than text show up on your profile! It's nicer looking uwu (Yes, Roblox is an option - you're welcome Buzz)
