"What?" Flowercloud couldn't believe it, soft hearty laugh escaping her large body as it shook. A soft purr drew up from her throat as she felt the tears welling from laughing. "No. Way. Did Herringhaze really say that? How blind do you have to be!" She wheezed out in between her laughs. Herringhaze couldnt possibly have never seen an actual fish. They used to swim lazily in the stream near their old camp, and, a part of her missed it. But a part of her knew they couldn't go back. The rats had become too much, and they risked their own health, and their children's health. Coffeestars sickness was the final straw. If only she could be here to actually see it- see them.
It felt so surreal to laugh like this again. She almost felt like the kid she once was, giggling away her worries and gossiping with other apprentices. But instead, she was here with Sagesong. Sorting through flowers to make crowns. It definitely tugged a few heartstrings, a hesitance settling deep as Sagesong asked her to do such a task. She still remembered it sitting by Rosebellys bed, until Cygnetscratch took it. But she pushed it back, and nodded hesitantly. And now here they were. Shed take one to him, she'd think. Maybe Sage would join her.
"Okay. Okay, what's something else?" Flowercloud asked, trying to center her thoughts to focus on the task at hand, and the liveliness of the moments she missed. "Surely there's more and no, you can't hold back on anything!" She said, grin spread across caramelized face as green eyes looked back up to Sagesong as she finished another flower.
