RATTLEPAW
THUNDERCLAN | APPRENTICE | HE/THEY | 09 MOONS | DINGO |
It had been some time now since the first gathering but even now the image of the black and white tuxedo cat that had been near Juniperstar that night was still burned in his mind. It appeared as clear to him now as it did the night he first saw him. Sablestar. His nose wrinkled as his lip drew back to bare teeth, tail flicking at the mere thought of him. Rattlepaw knew he ought to not go out far into the territory all alone but still instinctively found his paws took him pawstep by careful pawstep to the border they shared with ShadowClan. It was just there, across the thunderpath that snaked it's way between both territories.
Amber coloured eyes would peer across the flat surface to the pocosin that lay just beyond the other side, eyes narrowing as he scanned for any moving pelts amongst the trees across the tarmac. He had been here once before as a newly made apprentice-- Having almost been hit by a monster then but moons had passed since that incident and he knew better now. Would he really dare to try and cross it though? He wasn't quite sure what his paws had brought him out all this way for in the first place. He knew he couldn't take on the whole of ShadowClan to get to Sablestar even if he wanted to, that would be completely mouse-brained. So why was he here? Perhaps all he wanted right now was just answers.
He wanted to know why any cat would choose to stick by Sablestar's side after what he had done. There were two sides to every story after all and he'd only heard ThunderClan's side or at least the parts his clanmates were willing to tell him about. So what was it that ShadowClan believed about that story? What made them believe Sablestar had been right to do what he'd done?
Rattlepaw's tail tip quivered as he sat down by the border and continued to scan the other side for some cat. Hopefully someone would come along before he changed his mind about hearing ShadowClan out, he wasn't looking for any cat in particular-- Except he knew it couldn't be Sablestar himself, he would not listen to his father's murderer no matter what reasoning he gave.

OOC- @Mothbite !! (iirc original idea that sparked this thread was for Moth to start turning Serpy's kids against her! Rattle is already starting to have some seeds of doubt especially since Serpy brought back three new kits...)
