Rainpaw stretched out her legs letting the sun soak into her pelt as the sun bathed outside the medicine cat den. Looking around she let out a yawn. That was such a good nap. She thought, still groggy from waking up. Getting up she stretched and started grooming her help making sure to get out any tangles or knots she came across. She quickly padded back into the medicine cat den to look at her reflection in the little stream. No tangles in my ears or hair good good. She quickly gave her chest fur one last lick as she padded out of the medicine cat den again heading over to the freshkill pile. hmm what to eat… hmmm… oh this trout looks nice or maybe this squirrel? Maybe I should just take a few minnows. Unsure about what she wanted to eat she sat tapping her paw on her chin for a few seconds before finally deciding. I'll just take the squirrel. Picking up the squirrel she padded over to the shade sitting down to enjoy her freshkill. Delicious!! She thought, as she took another bite into the squirrel.

FISHTONGUE, -- 24 moons | Riverclan | Warrior/Fisher
A scraggly, ash-brown lynx chimera with big black tipped ears and big yellow eyes. Often lurking in bodies of water any chance he gets. Has an unnerving aura.

It Came From The Depths Below

Fishtongue pulled himself to shore, sinking his teeth deeper into the still fresh eel. Its body twisted and thrashed in protest and Fishtongue grumbled as he gave it a harsh shake. A good deal of hunting had been done today and a break was well deserved. Well, to him anyways. Green grasses tickled his paws and reeds brushed against him in greeting as he made his way back to camp, pelt mildly dry at best. Too many times he's shown up soggy and with so many complaints the tom had decided to be merciful today and dry out before returning. Well. Mostly dry out. Dry enough that he only seemed a little damp from far away.

A short trot and a few hops here and there had Fishtongue back at camp in no time. The eel hanging from his mouth flopped this way and that as he tilted his head, blinking at the apprentice. She picked over the freshkill pile indecisively, seemingly deep in thought over what prey to eat. At last she padded away with a squirrel, and Fishtongue moved to drop the eel amongst the pile. He considered it a rather nice addition, something new to try instead of the same old minnow and finch.

"So was it worth all that thought?" He asked, looking to Rainpaw with a hint of amusement. "I'm usually with our aquatic clanmates but I don't think they'd appreciate me eatin' one of em in front of em, heh." He seated himself nearby, lifting his head to take in the sun's warmth for a moment before bringing his wide gaze back down to her. "You fiddle with herbs and such, right?"

Frostmoth is enjoying a midday nap for once, blearily in and out of sleep at the sounds of his clanmates sharing tongues over their lunchtime meals and convening over their morning patrols and tasks. Until, of course, Fishtongue appears in camp with what Frostmoth in his half-sleep perceives to be a snake clasped between his jaws. The deputy sits up so quickly he gets a bit dizzy, rapidly trying to get his eyes to focus so he can assess whether or not to raise the alarm about a snake in camp. It wouldn't be the first time there was one.

Of course, he relaxes with a tinge of embarrassment when he realizes that it's an eel. Frostmoth sighs and pulls himself to his paws. He supposes he should eat something. "If you want the eel it's all yours," Frostmoth comments dryly as he watches the warrior deposit the snake-like fish on the pile on his own approach. He hides his disgust poorly. The idea of eating one of those slimy river snakes is enough to put him off prey for the next week or so, at least. But he has also never been the type to be able to stomach things with questionable textures anyway.

Frostmoth, comfortable with what is most familiar, moves to pick up a sunfish off the pile. Its vibrant scales are highly appealing, and the size is filling enough without being overindulgent. He moves to settle near Rainpaw, interested in the conversation that has been started, despite his vaguely insulting statement towards Fishtongue's catch.
