By this point the constant storms overhead had become nothing but background noise, the rumble of thunder a lullaby that she occasionally found herself waking from to soothe her kits fears of the booming noise. Tonight however it was not the cries of a kit that woke her but a sudden onslaught of rainwater dousing her, sending the molly into a coughing spluttering fit as she struggled to her feet. Water. Water was pouring into the nursery and taking everything it could with it.
Panic claws at her throat, a yowl leaving the Gale Guard with an urgency she hadn't felt since the night the barn caught fire: "EVERYONE WAKE UP!!! Get up, the nursery is flooding!"
Instinctively she turned to her own nest, a surge of protectiveness urging her to take her kits and leave everyone else behind to their fate. She squashed it down. She would no such thing. "Hurry, my little bees..!" Somehow her voice came out evenly despite how frayed her nerves were even as the water rose around their paws. "Get out of the nursery and onto the tall rock, find Goldenroar and your father, I need to help everyone else evacuate. Hold each other's tails so you don't get separated." 'Or swept away, hopefully.'
With a final nudge to each of her kits to be sure they understood, Honeyflower turned to the other caretakers with widened eyes. "Don't shove, there's enough time for everyone to get out! Let the parents with younger kits get out first, I'll be right behind you all!"
