{$title} takes place about a week before her warriorclan intro post
The young molly sat in the plastic carrier on her favorite human's lap as the spare drove them down the slick asphalt. When the vehicle stopped, she was lifted out, and through the wire front she could hardly see where they'd ended up.
Mirabelle knew something big had happened, and all her favorite things had been put into one big cardboard box that she wasn't allowed to sleep in! They'd lured her into the carrier with treats and now, she found herself placed on a linoleum floor, her carrier open.
It looked like a normal bathroom. The place was scentless, though, and she set to work rubbing her cheek against the edges of the counter, toilet, and door frames. The humans had left her a bowl of her favorite kibble and some water, but based on the sounds outside the door, they were out there! Well, Mirabelle wanted to be out there too!
"Excuse me? Humans?" she yowled. "I'd like to come help! I need to make sure all my toys are still here!" No one responded, so she tried again.
"Pardon me? If it isn't too much trouble? I'd like my comfy bed and my window perch!" And... still nothing.
"I really don't think I'm being unreasonable! Please, I'd just like to make sure-" Her favorite opened the door just a crack, and she darted out with a "mrrp!" in search of her things.
Oh, this was a brand new place. This wasn't the tiny little den they lived in before. This was so much bigger! Her eyes darted around as she looked at all the boxes, sniffing for the one that would smell distinctly of catnip.... there! Mirabelle trotted over to the box and started chewing at the cardboard with her teeth, trying to help them open it. The spare noticed and picked her up, cuddling her and murmuring something in her soft fur. Mirabelle tolerated it, for now. He would be better at opening the box.
He set her down and fetched the window perch, setting it up before chatting with the favorite. Mirabelle didn't care to try and listen in- instead she lept to the perch and looked out the window.
Wow.... There was a whole great garden out there, and many more fences and gardens beyond. Yes, this new den would suit her quite nicely.
