The patchwork tom had returned from one of his earlier patrols with a flick of his ivory dipped tail and his eyes watched the bodies of his clanmates as they entered or departed from the camp, interest fills his gaze when he spots a pelt that's similar to that of his own, and he rises to his paws slowly. His little shadow, a taunt towards both Dunehusk and Blacktree, and he doesn't hesitate to make a beeline towards his daughter wanting to know how her training progresses... how much she's learned. After all, it would be a matter of time before she too is summoned by Loonstar with the rest of her littermates to gain her warrior name.

He had no doubt that she'd pass her assessment with flying colors though the same couldn't be said for Torridpaw, he worried about the youngest knowing that he bore a softer heart than most of his littermates, and he felt that to be rather troubling. As if the young cat sought out for something more than what Thunderclan offered them, what he had to offer, and he tried not to linger on the thought for long simply knowing that he would just need to continue to push Torridpaw to work harder and exceed in their training especially with three moons left of their apprenticeship.

"Tenebrouspaw," Blisteringfury speaks at last to his daughter once he closes the distance between the both of them and angles both of his ears forward to look at his little mirror of himself, she's as sharp as him and just as fiery, that itself pleases him. "How has your training been coming along? What has your mentor taught you?" He awaits her answer with a quiver of ivory whiskers and turns only to give a flick of his bottlebrush tail for her to follow him, they would leave camp and go towards the training area just so he could test her skills, and see if she would be as ready as Flickerdance one day.

He isn't typically a warm individual but he tried to be encouraging and pushing his children so that they could reach their full potential. A part of him is certain that his kittens would've turned out differently had Dunehusk stuck by his side especially with the more gentle and loving nature of the cinnamon tabby or even Blacktree's nuturing self, perhaps, his kits wouldn't be such spitfires like him if that were the case. In all truth, he tries not to enterain 'what ifs' especially since it had happened nearly a whole year ago but he wouldn't lie to himself and deny the fact that there are still feelings that linger for either of his mates.

"You're aware that there's only a few moons until you join me and your sister within the warriors den, yes?" He slices through the silence to spare a glance towards his daughter and slows his gait so that they walk side by side. Surely, she knows the expectations that he had for her then he wouldn't put too pressure onto Tenebrouspaw. "I expect you to remain focused, do not allow any distractions to stop you from reaching your full potential, and do your best... there isn't room for failure, my little shadow." His tail gently brushing against her shoulder rather gently and moving forward a few steps farther.

a longhaired tortoiseshell with several scars littering his body from the battle that broke out between the split colonies, a cruel reminder to the betrayal that he felt that day, and has a pair of emerald toned eyes. he has patches of ivory on his body along with more smoky gray spots near his cheeks, limbs, and tail.
parent of flickerdance, searingpaw, torridpaw, gutsypaw, and tenebrouspaw ; ex-mate of dunehusk and blacktree ; currently not interested in seeking out serious relationships or courting anyone

venom and sharpened words are normally thrown out from his jaws whenever he ends up on a patrol near shadowclan. this doesn't lessen in the slightest when he catches sight of his old flames either, if anything, he only feels angry and brandishes that anger as a weapon. the moggy isn't friendly to anyone outside of thunderclan and he's especially unkind to shadowclan.

Tenebrouspaw draws her tongue over her paw pad, tugging out a particularly annoying splinter when her father greets her. She spits the hair-thin nuisance to the side, tilting her odd-eyed gaze back towards Blisteringfury with the same level of noncommittal frustration. She loves her father - when she were younger, she was the kit constantly beneath his paws, mimicking his actions and mannerisms in hopes that if she were like him, then he would love her more. And while apprenticeship has forced a sort of divide between them, those antics never truly changed, for better or for worse. She is constantly seeking out his attention and approval... all the while being the same bothered teen that any other apprentice her age boasts to be.

"I've been learning fine," she mutters, though it's immediately clear that she has a chip on her shoulder. Luckily for Blisteringfury, who nudges her along for an impromptu assessment of sorts, he doesn't have to prod his daughter into explaining. "Trembletuft doesn't like my 'attitude' around the borders. Says I'm too..." she draws out her voice, slipping beneath a particularly gnarled root and popping out the other side with a sharp, "Offensive. He's taken to leaving me with camp chores when Owlbark designates us to borders, just so I don't 'ruin' the peace, or whatever." She makes an exaggerated motion with her tail, clearly annoyed with the decision of her mentor.

Blisteringfury responds with just about the most father-like thing the girl can expect from him. Stay focused. Stay sure. Tenebrouspaw briefly leans into the grace of his tail before nodding slightly. "I won't fall behind, Dad. I promise." There's more on the line then just honor and discipline. There's something to show off at this point - she and her littermates are prizes won, and not a single one of them can be left in the dust.

She reassures him that she's learning fine until she mentions that troublesome mentor of hers does he flick his nicked ear to the side in quiet irritation especially when she tells him that she's usually stuck doing chores around camp to avoid "disturbing" the peace. It takes everything in him to refrain himself from calling her mentor an absolute dumbass right in front of her and his whiskers quiver in another show of displeasure. "He's holding you back with such mundane tasks. How are you meant to excel if he tries to extinguish the fire in your belly? Not that camp chores isn't important but those are assigned to apprentices that have nothing better to do with their time... like Loonstar's petulant children."

The two half-princes of the clan, Asterpaw wasting the breath of his very mentor, Graybird, and that other one that mirrored Asterpaw but less sickly. She carried around Shadowclan's scent as if it were something to be proud of when all it reminds him of is the putrid scent of a skunk and the Thunderpath.

No venom is ever spat directly to either of the Thunderclan queen's children but he never did hold back his dagger-like gaze whenever Dreampaw moved across the border to spend a moon within his clan and a huff slips out from his jaws "Don't worry, I will have a conversation with Loonstar if Trembletuft persists with this cruel and unjust punishment of his." The last thing he wanted was for Tenebrouspaw to fall behind the rest of her littermates due to the odd choices that her mentor is making and frankly, he feels that he should be in charge of her training so she ends up graduating just as swiftly as Flickerdance. And he lets that thought settle into the back of his mind for later as if it were buried prey that he would remove from the earth once he took care of other matters.

"Good... I'm glad to hear that." I wouldn't want to be disappointed. He bites down on his tongue to refrain uttering the last sentence and he slows down when the both of them reach the Sandy Hollow, he pads into the clearing without a second thought, and slowly turns around to face his daughter. For a heartbeat, he sees himself standing in her place with freshly laid scars on her body and bleeding, angry, and abandoned. Oh, he remembers that day too well when the battle between the split colonies had began and he remembers the hurt that he had felt during the aftermath of it all. The sharpness in his eyes falter for a few heartbeats and he knows that he pushes his kits harder than anyone else because he wants to protect them from the pain that he had endured.

Blisteringfury is lost within his mind for a second longer before clearing his throat and parting his jaws "Show me what you've learned." An order spoken to his daughter firmly and his tail lashes behind him, the patchwork tomcat getting into an offensive stance and prepared for whatever she throws out at him.
