NOVEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS 2025 ​

Hello Purrgatorians— we've tackled the great feat that is our first year together and with it comes knowledge, growth and more excitement than ever. We can't thank you enough for your love and loyalty and hope the next year is just as exhilarating as the last!

This month we have introduced for the first time an FK incentive for reaching a certain 'active' quota. All characters who meet the minimum post requirement in OCTOBER can now claim their reward in their respective clan OOC board and we'll be continuing this trend going forward! If you notice any issues please reach out as always, we'll work as quickly as possible to correct any unforeseen errors that come with this new system.

CLAN NEWS​

THUNDERCLAN sees Magnoliapeak join its Storm Guard while Thunderflash is demoted. Their leader changes their name from Juniperstar to Loonstar.
SHADOWCLAN finds Cherryblaze demoted from her rank as a Night Guard due to insubordination. The clan finds out sooner than most that prey scarcity is on the rise. Coalstrike is found dead on the ThunderClan border after an altercation with Copperstorm.
SKYCLAN announces the promotion of two new Sun Guards, Brightnose and Quailstep.
RIVERCLAN discovers their medicine cat apprentice, Rainpaw, to be missing. Pineheart, Peachtrot and Pigeonpearl all step down from their positions as Life Guards.
WINDCLAN survives the onslaught of heavy floods and reunites, working together to repair their camp and welcoming strangers along the way who helped them at their lowest.

PATCH NOTES​

Updates 10/18/25

Staff have changed our stance on the use of Sundown as a character name/prefix and it is now REJECTED across all uses due to it's violent history/meaning

We would like to reiterate that the Daylighter Name Loophole does not apply to names that have been rejected due to violating any of Purrgatory's Rules and Guidelines

The Prefix/Suffix masterlist will have an addition to it's front page to help define which of the names on the document is included in a Total Ban​

Updates 10/25/2025

Wording and rules for pregnancy has been updated to the following:
"A cat MUST BE 12 MOONS to become pregnant, resulting in birth no earlier than 14 moons!
Cats carry their kits for around 63-65 days! (For simple terms in RP we will say 'Two Months!')
A cat capable of carrying kits will show visible signs at about 2-3 weeks! At 4 weeks they should be moving to the nursery and then a month later from that time they'll have their kits! We ask you to not describe the kitting process/birthing in too heavy detail to avoid crossing our rule on graphic content.
Kits are allowed to be time-skipped as many moons as their dam is older than 12 to a maximum of 2 Moons and no higher to avoid any strange timeline shenanigans! This will allow players to skip the 'worm' phase where a kitten is just a wriggling little fuzzball unable to speak or do anything of substance!"​

Added clarification to the Afterlife Item Guide regarding needing a DF or Star visit item for getting your power/curse. You do not! You get a freebie with the purchase.
Obtaining a Power/Curse allows you a FREE visit from a StarClan or Dark Forest cat in a dream granting you their gift. You do not NEED a StarClan or Dark Forest Visit item purchased for granting a gift.
Also removed the 'Familial Claim' & 'Junior Clause' due to them no longer be relevant.​

A new item is in the shop for powers called SPRIGHTLY
Increases a cats speed and agility beyond the norm.
A standard cat can run up to 30mph with a standard jumping height of up to five feet. For our terms this is the max allowed for roleplay.
With this item, a cat can increase their speed up to 40mph with an additional 1ft jump (6ft max) - this puts them on par more with a fox than a cat.
This item can not exist alongside Grandiose.
