values loyalty and support the most. She is calm, dependable, and deeply committed to her clan and loved ones. A natural mediator, she often steps in to de-escalate conflicts, preferring to resolve problems through reason and fairness. However, when the situation demands it, she isn't afraid to take a firm stand.

In conversations, she is thoughtful and composed, choosing her words carefully to avoid unnecessary tension. Not as bold or impulsive as her sister, she tries to be a source of comfort and stability. She believes deeply in the importance of duty and tradition, striving to embody the values her parents instilled in her.

Though peace-seeking, she is no stranger to action. When the time comes to fight or make a tough decision, she acts decisively, guided by a strong sense of justice. Her even temper and reliability make her a good confidant, and while she may not always speak loudly, she tries to ensure her support is felt.

However, Harechaser often prioritizes the needs of others over her own. She rarely asks for help, even when she needs it, and fears burdening others (especially those she loves) with her problems. She tends to hide behind her dependability, which can make it difficult for others to know when she's upset or struggling. This can come across as distant, and frustrating to those who care about her. Instead of expressing her emotions she often suppresses them until they build up and she can't help but lash out.

  » Harechaser is a patient but overbearing teacher. She can be over-critical of apprentices, expecting them to meet her high standards.
  
  » Can be clingy with those she cares about especially family. She is quick to take their burdens as her own and looks after them tirelessly.
  
  » Sociable and enjoys spending time with others.
  
  » She claims to "feel" storms coming in her fur (and is usually right).
  
  » Harechaser has severe storm anxiety and doesn't like being caught in them. She had a bad experience as a kit and still hides when especially fierce ones come through.
  
  » Soft spot for kits and elders. A fluffy mountain for tiny climbers. A patient ear for bored wrinkly kitties.
  
  » She keeps small mementos, such as a feather from her first solo catch and tufts of fur from those she's lost hidden in her nest. Because of this, she is very adamant about no one else cleaning her nest, but her.
  
  » Can be judgemental of cats who don't meet her standards, but is less vocal about it.
  
  » Harechaser is overly cautious and hesitates to take risks that aren't necessary.

• Early Life
  
  → Harechaser (Elm at the time) was born into a tightly-knit litter with supportive but demanding parents who emphasized doing the right thing above all else.
  
  → Due to growing up in horrible conditions her siblings contracted illnesses and were sickly. Despite it all, their mother did love them and tried in vain not to get attached. Mainly, because she knew what was waiting for them.
  
  → Snuck out of camp with her siblings as a kit and got her tail caught in a snare. The trap was tight and her tail so badly mangled that it had to be removed.
  
  → The injury humbled her, teaching her the importance of structure and resilience at a young age.
  
  → Her relationship with her sister has always been loving. Although growing up with more headstrong, impulsive siblings meant Harechaser often had to play the role of the more levelheaded one. This dynamic and having been injured, pushed her to mature quickly, valuing caution over recklessness.
  
  → Harechaser witnessed the consequences of failure early in her life. She internalized the idea that being cautious and thinking things through was the best way to avoid getting herself or others hurt.
  
  → Somewhere along the lines she's absorbed the belief that her worth is tied to what she can do for others, leading her to prioritize others over herself.
