Wavesong and Adderfang are expecting kits! (Well—Wavesong is, but Adderfang certainly played his part.)

Now for a little about the proud parents-to-be! Wavesong is a warm, doting, and playful mother. Adderfang can be stern but has a soft spot for his family. He is very protective—sometimes to the point of being overbearing. The two are deeply devoted and loving, both to each other and to their kits.

They were both pillars in RiverClan's creation. After leaving their previous home in order to forge a better future for their kits; Adderfang has since taken up a position on the council. Wavesong has become a dedicated warrior who cares and looks after her clanmates. Each do their best to contribute towards the clans future, and they would expect the same of their kits.

Salmonkit is a kitten of Riverclan. He identifies as male and uses he/him.

Salmonkit is a small, bright-eyed chimaera kitten with broken tabby markings and a pointed tail he fashions to make look more like a fish's tail.

Salmonkit was born to Wavesong and Adderfang, and is a sibling to TBNkit, TBNkit, TBNkit, TBNkit, Crescentpaw, Rushpaw, and Rosepaw.

He is mentored by N/A, and is mentoring N/A.
Salmonkit is best known for his intelligence and methodical nature but often acting arrogant at times. He excels at tracking and swimming. but is poor at hunting and fighting.

Salmonkit was CREATED 05 / 30 / 2025 at 2 moons. He is currently 2 moons and ages every TBA.

Salmonkit is a Black Smoke Ghost x Chocolate (with Countershading) Broken Mackerel Tabby with Low White Chimera. His markings and colouration make his appearance rather reminiscent of the fish-theme he was named for, looking like a very literal split mix of both his parents' appearances. He is of an average size for his age, even with the ruff of fur around his neck, his sleek fur displays he will likely grow to be a long and lithe cat, but for now he is a soft, rounded little kitten as he continues to grow. Salmonkit's eyes are warm and bright, almost exactly like his father's. Though the kitten has gotten into the strange habit of preening his tail into two small split tips, so they mimic a fish tail.

Salmonkit is a peculiar little one to most, with the usual curiosity one would expect from a kitten, he doesn't settle for questions answered with something small. That curiosity is fueled by his perceptive nature, taking time to watch and try and figure out for himself how or why things work. This is seen especially with his affinity for the world around him, needing to know what kind of animal his prey is, the birds and fish in the territory. There's a fascination in how things work, even down to the clan structure and why things are the way they are. It leads to him being a strange sort in the eyes of others, receptive to new information, and if he ever picks up on something he isn't meant to, often eavesdropping just with the intention of not missing out on anything.

Though his curiosity isn't just cemented in the tangible, from his mother's stories to wondering about Starclan, there's little this kitten doesn't stray away from asking. Even if it often isn't appropriate to, not yet understood the connection of emotions to events and facts about the world. Salmonkit means well, but gets frustrated and blunt to those who ignore his questions or choose not to listen to his explanations about what he has learned.

Salmonkit has a hard time making friends, but he is close to and very fond of his family. Looking up to his parents for their roles in the clan, to his littermates for always being there as friends and playmates, and his older siblings for being guides to him when most apprentices would have little interest in entertaining his curiosities. Even if he struggles to make friends, he still seeks out his clanmates and is never deterred by others' reactions; if anything, he is far more likely to make a snide remark at their expense - likely not helping his case. Eventually, of course, he will learn to either reel back his comments or find cats with similar demeanors to him. Regardless, he is a kind cat at heart, just struggles to show it in ways most others tend to understand.

In battles, Salmonkit excels at tracking and stalking, but is poor at fighting. He's going to find fighting hard initially, not as adept with his claws, but learns he can use surprise to his advantage as he is highly skilled in tracking scents and stalking. Using that to get the first attack in and try to stun enemies to make fights as short as he can, to avoid scuffles where he loses his ground and can get injured easily.

  He just got born, so he hasn't really done much besides that, but he's an ambitious little rascal, so he's bound to make history!​

  
  ★ PLOT
  

  The plot in mind for this cat is to start as a bitey little menace, a handful for the older cats to take care of but one that has a very big glowing spark of potential since they exist with their whole soul; their thoughts, their feelings, their loyalties— an innate near inexplicable love for Riverclan where they feel they belong. They look up to Adderfang and Wavesong a lot, they seek guidance from them and their older siblings. Their story is to be one of tempering and directing unchained energy to become something wonderful.
  
  This is, however, naturally meant to be a challenge both for those that teach this cat, and the cat themselves. Rather than being assigned as a general Warrior, their behavior as a youth will result in them being designated as a Pearl Diver (to their childish dismay) to learn certain skills that they unknowingly show talent for, but also as a way to teach them patience and attention to detail and combat better suited to their personality— true freedom in water that can be translated to land as well.
  
  With a bit of rebellious streak, this cat will want to gather treasures and see the world and get to know it beyond the borders of the clans leading to some strange friends in other places like Warriorclan or more likely the Rustclaws as they collect strange treasures too! It is in this regard that they will aspire to be like their mother Wavesong. They want to have stories to tell, become an adventurer worthy of being her son, a treasure-hunter known far and wide that can seemingly find beauty in the strangest of places; for their blood is not just tied to a mere river, it is tied to the ocean, a vast expanse that yearns to be explored.
  
  Additionally, they don't see 'authority' the same way as other cats do; they don't blindly follow the concept of a role or title because they are told to do that, they want to know the truth of others as they are— it is cats that hold titles, not the other way around. It is the cats that give the titles meaning, and if a cat is to misuse their power then discontent will be known immediately. It is through this thought process that this cat will believe Life Guards have to be the best cats, the best of the best, because his own father Adderfang is one. Some day, they will aspire to be a Life Guard like Adderfang, a valiant protector of Riverclan.​

• ★ Short hair chocolate silver ticked tabby with low white, has unnatural eyes that are deep red with shimmery blue pupils → This cat is a subtle visual mixture of both parents, Adderfang and Wavesong— having the chocolate colour from their father and the silver from their mother, and they are a ticked tabby much like Adderfang. While at first glance their silhouette is quite similar to Adderfang, their physical mannerisms and hair length is closer to that of their mother Wavesong. The fluffier sections of their fur are more wild and unkempt more often than anything, a visual indicator of their more free and fun-loving personality. They have a few outstanding unique traits; for one thing they have some white fur across their body, on their paws not unlike little 'mittens' but most notably there is white on their face around their muzzle that resembles sharp jagged teeth-like pattern. Additionally, their eyes are of an abnormal colour not seen in any known cat; their eyes are a deep and intimidating red with shimmering blue pupils that are like the ocean.

• Since this cat is young, their personality is sure to develop a bit over time as well, but some core traits will be present— primary traits are core to the character's journey of growth and more likely to be present in roleplay as a whole as they grow. Rightfully, they would be a handful as they are rambunctious and fierce, but despite this they are attentive to guidance especially if it is coming from their parents or older siblings— he wants to be someone that they can depend on and looks up to each and every one of his family members in Riverclan. Furthermore, it is to Riverclan that they swear their life to, and cannot be swayed by any other clans to join them simply out of sheer pride— in fact it is more likely that they would convince others to try and join Riverclan if they're worthy.
  
  Eventually, their energy will be tempered with experience gained from life in Riverclan, from their family and their future mentor in addition to the adventures that they will go on as they grow up. While retaining a sense of humor, it is directed and used as an effective tool, their bluntness in truth no longer brandished as a sword but fashioned into a shield against the lies of others. What was once blazing intensity without form would be given purpose to protect Riverclan and friends gained along their way to becoming a Warrior. All the while, their loyalty to the ideal of Riverclan never wavers, and they would do all in their power to fight against threats from both outside and inside of the clan.

entirely prone to change over roleplay- born with no scarcity of love, foam will be at first bubbly and warm, albeit a bit shy. he loves fish and turtles and clouds and will talk endlessly about his favourite things, but gets embarrassed easily if he realizes he's been yapping!! curious and wide-eyed looking towards the world, other kits can easily draw him into mischief. all they have to do is say do it for the bit and he will as long as its not bullying! foam is easily susceptible to others beliefs and is uncomfortable with making anyone do any kind of work for him. he would do anything for his siblings or parents, maybe later much to his detriment.

Going to do just some dot points as since she's a kit a lot of her character will be influenced by the cats she interacts with!
- Likely to become a Warrior/Pearl Diver! Not great at hunting on land but excellent when hunting in the water.
- Strong swimmer and an agile, cunning fighter who'll become very dangerous to fight against when in the water. Likely to start fights where she deems them necessary for RiverClan's benefit.
- Will adore stories thanks to Wavesong! Might make her yearn to go on an adventure especially towards the sea.
- Will likely love to collect shells she finds pretty or interesting and stow them away in her nest, getting grumpy at anyone who dares remove her little collection (Would potentially give collected shells out as gifts on special occasions and to family, like when their siblings graduate and get their Warrior names)
