Welcome to the Rustclaws Adopts Thread! These adopts are a way to promote plots, explore connections with current ocs, and help fill neglected roles.

Please keep in mind that not every adoption is FCFS. All adoptions, unless specified by the adopter will require you to fill out a form with brief information about the character you're adopting. If you're confused, don't hesitate to reach out to the listed adopter or HP for guidance.

RULES & REQUIREMENTS

Please familiarize yourself with the Rustclaws Guide.
There is no specific activity requirement for the following adopts. All we ask is that if you can no longer RP them, please reach out to have them rehomed!
While there is no word count involved in applying, please try to put some effort into your applications (if an application is required by the adopter).
Adopts are not FCFS unless specified and may have varying requirements.
What you do with these characters after adopting them is ultimately up to you. However, we ask you not to immediately kill or give them to another group upon adoption.

CADET AND KIT ADOPTIONS

Cadets are green-clawed rookies in training, or other words, those too young and inexperienced to be considered full-fledged soldiers.

Due to the difficult living conditions, KITS are a rarity. Kits are rarely turned away, especially those orphaned or abandoned, as Nonna sees value in the young in addition to her general fondness for them.

- Currently, times are plentiful, and kits are a welcome addition.
- They must be within the age of 1-6 moons and can be abandoned, adopted, or have simply made their way into the junkyard.

The following designs are FREE for anyone looking to adopt. You may also make a CADET/KIT with a design of your own.​

Name: Barbed Wire
Pronouns: She/He
Rank: Cadet
Description: A mottled, diluted tortoiseshell with patches of silver and patches of red. Appearing once of pedigree, now scrounging in the dumb with her newfound friends. She really leans into her "name" by claiming bits and pieces of discarded barbed wire and tucking them into her fur.
Personality: Eccentric, Barbie often leads into whatever shenanigans her like aged peers want to dive into. She is extremely eager to be accepted in any capacity, often leading her into unwanted situations that either harm herself or others. A firestarter with a short temper, she's also quick to fight if her own abilities are pulled into question.
Plot Ideas and/or Quirks:
- Was bred to be a show cat and thus named "Meow-libu Barbie," when she ran off and met the Rustclaws, they mistook her name as "Barbed" and jested that she must know what the spiny, metal thing is. She responds to both "Barbed Wire" and "Barbie."
- Has no siblings of note. Like she, they were each adopted out of their home, so she had no immediate recollection of them anymore.
- Will loose half of her tail ICly due to a crash in the junkyard.

Name: Rusted Metal (aka 'rust' for short)
Pronouns: she/they
Rank: cadet
Description: A long-furred gray cat mottled with patches of orange-brown fur. Her eyes are a pale, almost silvery green, one of which has large scars over them and appears duller than the other due to this.
Personality: They've always been a troublemaker, even as a young kit, constantly getting into fights they can't win - it is because of this that their right eye was blinded by the claws of a badger, large scars adorning her face from the incident. Even still, Rust is a force to be reckoned with should you get on her bad side - she won't play nice, and she's not above cheating to win.
Plot Ideas and/or Quirks: joins the rustclaws seeking shelter after the badger attack that blinded her while she heals - in exchange for her 'loyalty' to them. will be very defiant and frequently cause trouble, however, as they're truly only loyal to themself. this may change over time as they get to know the other rustclaws, however, and she will find herself glad that she joined this small community of rogues as she matures.

Name: Tire (Marks) - Also known as Rubber
Pronouns: He/Him
Rank: Cadet
Description: A sleek, black bengal cat with stripes of dark black crossing their body and striking orange eyes. A chipped ear adorns their head, scars littering their body from fights, one crossing the tom's muzzle.
Personality: Rubber is a child with a dark soul; He is quiet and observant, often seeking dark shadows and the dead of night to prowl the junkyard. The cadet is a fighter, seeking battles with any other cat that comes his way, eventually going out of his way to seek small dogs to fight as he becomes an adult. He is a ruthless fighter, never backing down and always going until he wins. There are few Rubber holds close; and they are the ones Rubber would die for, honoring them and always out to avenge them if anything were to happen.
Plot Ideas and/or Quirks:
- Kind of inspired by Kars from JJBA. For that reason, Rubber also takes the same quirk as Kars where he licks his lips and teeth when about to attack.
- Will eventually get hit by a car and survive - laying around with a concussion for a while. Has already had many close calls
- chews on rubber items, also chews on wires bc he's a freak. also likes to claw up old tires
