A night of celebration, and a day following revenge. Jadethorn finds herself sucked into a bout of promiscuity, riding high on emotions with two particular toms of Shadowclan's higher ups: Night Guard Coalstrike and Deputy Wolfpack. After a successful heist on the fish-eaters of Riverclan, the first conception was punctuated by the praise she found in Coalstrike, as Sablestar condemned the heist as a whole when they returned. The second was one of desperation, after taking down the fox that had injured Marbleshine. A point to prove to herself that the injured molly would not hold her heart captive. Who better than Wolfpack, the deputy of the clan she so wanted under her claws, to help her? Now, Jadethorn carries the kits of both, only realizing after a visit with the Thunderclan's medicine cat. Will the 3 work together to raise the kits, or will their different lineages cause things to be torn asunder?

  from the very beginning, she is more creature than cat. her eyes are large and pitch black, her ears too big, her fur mismatched lengths and impossible to groom into something beautiful. she will never be beautiful, no– not like her mother is. she accepts this early on. she doesn't need to be beautiful if she can be useful, if she can skilled, if she can kill and maim and follow orders.
  as she grows up, she only grows more strange looking. the fur around her face and chest is long and almost mane like while the rest of her body has shorter and denser fur. her limbs are too long, her bones too sharp... where cats should be soft, her fur instead hides ragged edges. the white markings on her face form tear stains, and as an apprentice, she might try to hide them by smearing her face with mud, seeing them as a sign of weakness– like she was somehow destined to cry and cry and cry.
  
  
  
  KIT - for a kit, she is unusually quiet. she does not cry when she is born, barely makes a sound. she looks wrong, though she is too young to know what that means. as a kit, she desperately wants to fit in, but finds it hard– she feels like she is on the other side of a pane of glass looking in, watching life move past her. she is not part of it; only witnessing.
  
  
  her parents expectations are placed on her shoulders relatively early, and she begins to cling to those instead, her hopes of being one of her peers slowly fading.
  
  APPRENTICE - the feeling of otherness only grows as she does. she does not grow into her features, her white tear stained cheeks do not fade. if anything, she grows so rapidly that she now stands out in another way– she is too tall. she sticks out like a sore thumb among her peers.
  but at least she is eager to learn. to impress. she wants to gain the acknowledgment of someone, anyone– anyone will do. if not her parents, then her mentor. surely someone will think she is good enough? someone sees potential in her? she only wishes to be molded into something good, even if it's sharp and hurts to hold. that doesn't matter, what matters is... being useful. if she cannot be wanted, let her be needed, and if she cannot be needed, let her be used until there's nothing left.
  
  WARRIOR - a perfect soldier, a sharp knife, a loyal dog. she was so busy becoming a weapon she forgot to learn how to express emotions in a healthy way, and as a result, ends up as an incredibly emotionally stunted adult. she seems almost afraid to be caught feeling anything.

Silverkit is best known for their brazen bravery and steadfast loyalty. They excel at climbing and fighting, but is poor at hunting and sneaking.

Silverkit is a Blue Rosette Tabby with Low White and Finnish Roan Spotting. With their markings, it is undeniable who of the father's are their own, their finnish roan spotting alone would have been enough to recognisably be Wolfpack's child, but their colouration wholly being taken from their father with the same sort of mismatched eyes makes them undeniable. Carrying a green eye from their mother and blue from their father, they seem a perfect tiny mix of their parents, down to the ring neck marking and ear spots from their mother. Even as a kitten, they have a very bulky, wide stance, not quite large enough yet to know if they will inherit their father's enormous size. With spiney, coarse fur, even at a young age they hold a sort of

Silverkit is, frankly, a nepo baby. Without any question who their father is they rub it in the faces of other cats and (This is dependant on the other cats selected for the litter so this may change) even their littermates. While most have questionable parantage, its without a doubt SIlver belongs to Wolfpack and the moment they learn this it moulds their sense of over the top self worth. Ending up not quite a bully, but still a domineering figure as they act out or treat cats lesser than them only to use their father as an excuse, threatening them with getting in trouble for hurting them. (I may lean into this and have them seem or be geuinely rather well behaved as a young kitten and use that as a guise to be an asshat to others and push the blame off of them).

In time this likely results in issues, theres only so long they can hide behind their parents (If Coal accepts to raise them too despite being very clearly wolfs which could be a plot point in and of itself, they would hide behind him too) which would lead them getting into trouble. Most likely with another clan or just someone calling them out on their mischief. Regardless, their foundation of power at a point would start to crumble and they would turn to their strength to get their way via fighting or threatening cats.

Silverkit looks up to their parents as well as the rest of Shadowclan's council as a guiding light. Depending on their parantegs, Silverkits impressions and connections with their siblings may vary. They would be close to those with either obvious signs of being Wolfpack's (Finnish Roan Spotting) or those with vague genetics. A plot with bullying or demeaning siblings who otherwise seem exclusively Coalstrike's kittens would be an interesting route if Coalstrike refuses Silverkit for obviously not being his own kitten. Otherwise, Silverkit doesn't struggle to make friends, selecting the cats they are willing to be close with and otherwise holding others they see as "less" or "weak" at an arms length. (Likely a suck up to the Sablejuni and Cherrycica kittens cause they see them as more "influential" (and maybe timbers three.. lets be honest sables adopted these freaks /silly))

In battles, Silverkit excel at climbing and fighting, but is poor at hunting and sneaking. With the gentleness and tact of a war horse, Silverkit will grow into a downright brute, with the strength of their father and intelligence of their mother, they become a deadly combination of brute force with a strategy behind it. However, they will prove useless in stealth missions as much as they can plan, they seek the blood in their claws for the good and glory of their clan. While they may not reach the full size of their father, they will still be on the larger side and use it as leverage during battle to beat down and injure enemies before they can get much damage in return. With decent defence, they can handle attacks back, but downright refuse to back down until the very end. Leading them to being in dangerous fights where they could risk losing their own life in a fight that to anyone else is obvious they would lose.

Jackalkit might start out as an ugly little thing at first, his pelt a molting pattern into another as rosettes melt into whites and blues. One thing is for sure, though, this kit belongs to Coalstrike, as he will bear the Night Guards sign of great size with wide paws and ears. Once the kitten-blues wear away and Jackalkit grows into himself with time, that wispy fluff will give way to a long, soft coat of smoky hues and rosettes. His pelt will not lean in any direction towards either parent, sat in the middle of the two instead as he bears Jadethorn's bengal pattern and Coalstrike's smoky shades. His father stakes claim from his eyes- a brilliant gold and copper, striking with the same fiery soul.

Jackalkit may be the perfect mix of each parent as he innately shares their characteristics, as if inherited. His patience comes from Coalstrike, able to watch and wait in silence for the perfect moment to act. As a child it will come as a virtue, never being the first to ask his mother for attention or food. He is far more social than perhaps either of them, though, happiest when kept in a circle of friends. Jackalkit makes them with ease as he is capable of mimicking his peers to match the kind of cat they seek in him. He will learn rather young the benefits of becoming a social chameleon.

From the moment Jackalkit can walk, he refuses to find himself carried by the scruff any longer. He will be a loud kit, first and foremost, struggling to find control of his volume as his emotions spill from his tiny body. He will be like any typical child where any emotion, whether it be joy or anger or fear, can take over his body in an instant.

From the moment that Opalkit graces the world, he's... well, short for any other word, huge. His paws flop uncomfortably, make it difficult for him to learn how to walk, his shoulders broad and head large, all proportionally wrong and funky. He'll struggle at an early age with this, trying to shrink himself to feel closer to his sibling's size, eyes downcast- aware that it makes him stand out. As he grows older, his paws will match with long legs, a body that stands taller then most, generally large. He'll learn to stand upright rather then hunch down, his ears forward and eyes narrowed generally. Not so much proud as neutral, just trying to blend in.

Opalkit is painted in shades of white, lilac and chocolate. He isn't split half and half, like a true chimera would be, rather with lilac painting most of his body, and the chocolate becoming an interruption in that pattern. White covers most of his underbody, brightening up an already light color- then chocolate finds its way across his body to dapple all three legs but one. A splotch finds it's way onto his shoulder and tail, an ear- and covers his left eye, almost dripping from his right eye. It's a less saturated chocolate, matching better with the lilac, at least. Rosettes dapple the lilac tabby, spotting across his body.

His fur is long, and will be messy as he grows up, as most kits are. As he grows older, he'll learn to take better care of the fur and it's relatively neutral texture, but laments how hot it makes him during greenleaf, and at how mud sticks to him no matter how he approaches it. In fact, the mud of Shadowclan likely blends in with the chocolate patches, which Opalkit will come to hate. With his long hair, a set of tufts drift down over his forehead and curl to his left side. It's unsure if these will come to grow longer in time or not.

His right eye is a pale blue color, almost shining like an opal's main coloration, where his left eye- dappled with chocolate- is a pale, wheat yellow. Neither are a reflection of his parents, really, but rather how the glimmer of an opal looks. (I am aware that kits eyes are blue before they finish getting named, however! Opalkit is also not a permanent name.) His skin is a light, unsaturated pink, and all of his toebeans reflect this. His right ear curls over- I've been told this can be ear mites, and I'll likely have this be the case!

KIT - FOUNDATIONS. SHARP BRISTLES AND DISCARDED GLANCES. A SOFTIE IN A TOUGH EXTERIOR. Pushback in silent movements. A sweet tongue, that becomes sour with time, with stress, with age. A heart too pure and overwhelmed, bogged down by his own mind. The nest cradles him for quite some time, does not make it obvious.

-> These are the foundations that make up Opalkit. From a young age, he is one of the quieter amongst his siblings. He tries to shrink himself to the ground, to blend into shadows, but his lighter pelt sticks him out. He speaks with a honey tongue, sticky sweet and innocent, kindness and hope in his tone. He's known for believing for the best at this young age, especially when he's in a good mood.

-> On rougher days, tantrums will be thrown as all kits do- but these don't go away with time. Opalkit holds onto grudges and doesn't find them to leave his mind easily. You stole his favorite mossball? He's going to throw you out of the nursery. There are days where the honey has curled and his tongue is covered in sharp crystals, biting and rude to the cat he speaks too. His sour attitudes will only stay with him, side eyes and glares and scowls that he picks up. Whether these habits are learned from another cat or born from within, only time will tell.

->But, above all of this, Opalkit will learn how to retreat into himself. How to hide these emotions so he isn't scolded or chastised for what he says or does. He learns to wear a mask, and to keep it held in front of him like a shield. He learns to start protecting his heart instead of others.​

APPRENTICE - GROWTH. CONFUSION IN BOUNDS OF SELF RELEVANCE. SHARP BRISTLES AND SHARPER TEETH. A TEDDY BEAR IN WOLF'S CLOTHING. Those foundations- quiet defiance, a sweet tongue that sours under stress, a heart wrapped in armor and prickly from the outside- do not vanish as Opalkit ages. When he earns his apprentice name, these traits don't shed like a kitten's downy fur. They harden. They deepen. He's afraid that mask that hides the cracks in his soul may be peeled back. Apprenticeship will be the first thing that tests the mask, if it will be ripped free or be stuck forever.

-> The ravines that separated the different parts of Opalkit- now Opalpaw- blend together. They become short and sour, sweet but sharp. His emotions are scattered and confused, and as he continues to grow- notably larger then his littermates, or peer-aged apprentices- he feels even more like a sore thumb. He sticks out from the bunch, vulnerably and exposed. There is no defined edge to his personality like before, when things were simpler as a kit. He is jumbled, and oft, this translates to training as well. He may struggle with correction from his mentor. A gentle nudge may mean withdrawing further within his shell, his shield, to hide his heart.

-> Grudges linger longer now, like the taste of once-sweet honey. If a denmate does anything that scorns, from mocking him to outshining him, Opalpaw may remember it for days or weeks, keeping score in the dark corners of his mind. The places he doesn't visit, the places that scare him. He won't always act on it, but it definitely shapes the way he interacts with others. He does not forgive easy, finding it simpler to toss a sharp word or give a cold shoulder. It isn't disobedience, it a defense.

-> He does learn quickly, despite the more temper tantrum parts of him. Yet, afraid of being seen as vulnerable from failing, he practices alone. In secret, long into the hours of the night. He only reveals his skill when it's honed and sharp, making him look incredibly incompetent the day a new skill is introduced, only to arrive exhausted with this skill down pat. This messes with his mental, nightmares churning in his mind from his own negativity and the lack of good sleep. His body aches, but his claws and mind are sharp yet with knowledge passed unto him. Under the right mentor, however, one that's patient and can read him for filth- he may just begin to learn to trust others with his heart.​

WARRIOR - FREEDOM. IT FEELS LIKE BREAKING FREE. SHARP TEETH FADE TO NOTHING MORE THEN A MEMORY- OR DOES IT? I'm not going to talk too much here, but this is the 'end goal vibes'.

-> A teddy bear in grizzly bear's clothing. Super sticky sweet on the inside but too quiet to show it. Kind of seen as the menacing tough guy but those who know him (closer friends, family, etc) know that is soooo far from the truth. The guy you bring when you need to ask for no pickles except you're the one asking. Not him. He still can bite, though. Just no bark.​

NOTE // I may change his personality up while I roleplay. I tend to find grooves for characters, and find it more enjoyable to roleplay them in a certain manner. This is loose, but I will be following it to a point.

FEARS AND INSPIRATIONS:

• FEAR // LOSING HIMSELF - He's afraid of losing himself as much as finding himself. The shield that he hides behind and will begin to wear as a mask- is that him, or is he something else? This ties into his gender issues I'll experiment with later in his life as well.
• FEAR // BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF - Given all of what was discussed above, he's understandably afraid of being taken advantage of. He keeps some of the sharper tongued apprentices further away from him, ones he feel may be two-faced or backstab him. He's a little paranoid in this regard.
• FEAR // TRUE PATERNAL BOND - Having two fathers and not really knowing which one is his makes him fear connection with either of them. He may keep them at arms-length. (I think this would be ESPECIALLY juicy if he ends up with one of them as his mentor... or, his sibling's mentor.)
• INSPRIATION // SHADOWCLAN STRENGTH - Of course the place he lives, especially from a young age, will give him inspiration. The way they manage to survive in a heavily wet environment, through leafbare and greenleaf, will give him something to look forward to protecting.

• BEARS // A lot of the imagery, especially from a preliminary stance, I'm pulling from bears. Teddy bears vs grizzly bears, fangs and claws vs honey-eaters. Sweet, button eyed and docile, versus a man killing machine, a metronome's needle swinging either direction.
• IMAGERY // Mountains and their size, but soft like the whispers of their breezes. Melted honey, carved obsidian, velvet growls wrapped in barbed wire. Nectar sweet, thorn sharp, sugar-laced snarls, cracked lightning in the sky, salt and pepper, tender hearts and a battle born body.
• AESTHETICS // If named Opalkit, I'll be going after a lot of 'opalescent' colors early in life. Yellows and blues, pastels, white tones. If named Bearkit, I'll be going after a brown aesthetic early in life.

• GENDER UNCERTAINTY // He? She? What's the right thing to call themselves by? Is being a they so bad? This will be an internal development point that stretches through multiple points of their life, from late kit-hood to apprenticeship to warriorship. A struggle by all means. Gender uncertainty may lead into identity issues, as mentioned in his fears.
• PROBLEMATIC TEENAGER, UNPROBLEMATIC ADULT // This is kind of a plot/arc direction for Opalkit! As an apprentice, he'll be problematic. Punishments, broken rules, plenty of scuffles... but once his frontal cortex forms, he'll be less wild-child and more responsible! I'm excited to play this out and have a "messy to clean" character.
• RIVALRY // As mentioned in his inspirations, if I can find a long-term rivalry for him to lean into, I think he'll develop into a stronger character physically since he'll have a motivator. It depends on if the kit is Shadowclan or not how heavily I'll lean him into this.

As she gets a bit older, Amberkit will try to solve the mystery of her parentage. Her appearance doesn't make it clear who her father is, so she'll try to figure it out by comparing her abilities and personality to Coalstrike and Wolfpack.

Amethystkit will be tiny at birth and even though they will growing, they will stay rather small. They're lithe and have a gangly build. Its fur is short and silky. Their fur is pitch black on their left side and blue on their right side. The blue fur is dotted with darker rosettes. Once its eyes lose their kitten blue, they will reveal a mismatched gaze. Their left eye is golden and their right eye is moss green. Just from looking at them one would not be able to tell who its father is.

KIT - They are a quite curious and inquisitive. As a kit they like to learn as much as they can and will develop their own morals, which will mostly be positive. It's a rather quiet kit, who prefers to keep to themselves or its family if they are not learning something. As a kit they are mostly oblivious to the expectations placed on them, though the older it grows the more it will realise what it means to have two high positions as possible fathers and their perfectionistic tendencies start to show.

APPRENTICE - As an apprentice the expectations start to wear them down. They feel like they have to be perfect at all times and need to be a good role model because its father is either the deputy or a night guard. They will become extremely perfectionistic and it doesn't handle failure very well. Though it always tended to keep to themselves, they will now start to actively push others away as they feel like its true self is not good enough for them. It's not as bad around family, but they still feel like they can't truly be itself around them. They are usually quiet and eerily calm at all times, though if pushed enough they are prone to emotional outbursts.

WARRIOR - They won't have changed much from when they were an apprentice. If anything it has become even more perfectionistic and eager to please their parents and gain their approval. They're pretty intelligent and cunning. There is a certain ruthlessness about it and they usually follow orders to the t. The morals they developed as a kit have been pushed aside mostly to be what their parents expect of it. However their morals are not completely gone and they will always have an internal conflict if they get an order that goes against them.

• GENDER UNCERTAINTY // There will always be a lingering feeling that "female " simply doesn't describe them, though they won't give it much thought until they become an apprentice. They will briefly consider if they are male, though they will realise that this does not describe it either. Eventually they will realise that they will decide to not use a label to describe their gender. They will accept any pronouns, but are most comfortable with they/it and do not care if/what gendered terms are used for them. Ooc I will always be using they/it pronouns, though I will be using she/her pronouns ic until it comes out.
• THEIR FATHER // How not knowing who its father is affects them will depend on ic circumstances. If their parents handle raising them and their siblings well, they won't mind having two father figures. It actually quite likes having two fathers. However if their don't handle it well, they will hate the uncertainty and wish they knew who their father is. Either way they feel like it has to be perfect at all times due to both Coalstrike and Wolfpack having high positions in the clan.

  At first, this cat is intended to be what looks like an impressionable little copy, a mimic of their mother, willing to go along with what they are told down to the letter and become just like them— to the point where it might even look or seem... Or sound a bit strange from an outside observer, early on they will develop the Dark Forest 'Curse' of Mimicry, that will occasionally manifest throughout their life. However, from the perspective of this cat, it comes from a place of wanting to be loved and cherished by their parents, all three of them. Unfortunately, they will not find this parental and familial love that they are seeking as they envision it... Their story is one of realization and self-actualization, to go from a pawn of someone elses game to a royal of their own making.
  
  The way that they look and chimerism makes it both clear and unclear who their father is, but it will be certain just how much they are like their mother, at first. Afterward, they will grow away from the worst traits they could inherit to some of the best, subtly and unknowingly. The pressure from all three parents, the drive to mold them into the perfect Warrior will result in this cat at first being apprenticed as a Shadowclan Thief, going for skills similar to Jadethorn. The incentive and demands to be just that much more like their parents will start to push them away from their parents gradually, faster depending on how any one of the three acts towards them or even others that this cat has grown fond of or close to to the point of requesting a different mentor (under the assumption that their first mentor would be any of their parents or someone close to them too), and a switch to the Shadowclan Trapper rather than Thief. It is here that they first earn the -glare suffix, named for their gaze that has been notably intensifying, matching the strict and stoic visage of her fathers...
  
  Eventually, they will crack under the ever growing demands and snap at their parents and more openly break away from them. This will lead to some form of incident where they get scarred— the exact details of which are nebulous at this time, and the details will be plotted closer to the event itself. It is also in this moment of self-assurance that their Curse of Mimicry is overcome, and ends up being removed entirely by divine intervention. However, the scars of its past use will remain, leaving their voice croakier and more jagged than most cats.
  
  Afterward, their already strained loyalty to the idea of Shadowclan will break too after continually meeting members of the other clans across their life, and they will strike out on their own for a time before returning to Shadowclan of their own volition where they will likely completely avoid or ignore their parents, and possibly their own siblings depending on how they all grow around each other. It is here that they will formally request to be renamed with the -grave suffix, abandoning who they once were, and who their parents thought she would be. At some point, she will gain a new power, a gift rather than a curse— the capacity to speak to a (yet to be decided) non-cat creature through the gift of Polyglot.
  
  This cat's deepest desire is to be known as herself, not as the daughter of any particular cat, to show that she is worthy purely because of herself and what she does, not where she comes from and who she is connected to, an open defiance to being molded into a carbon copy of her parents— in this bid for freedom she will actively choose to be someone that would counter her parents— to exist in spite of the challenges, to never be cruel or cowardly, to be strong enough to be kind...   Blue Rosette shorthair tabby with low white × Blue Rosette longhair tabby with finnish roaning chimera, has amber eyes, but something brews within them... → This cat is an enigmatic in visage, they look a lot like their mother Jadethorn, with cues from both Wolfpack and Coalstrike— Overall, at first glance one might mistake them for a simple blue rosette tabby, however, on closer inspection they are anything but simple. Starting at their head and going down towards their tail in a spiral around their body, they have long hair, whereas everywhere else they have short hair. It is as if they were an improperly mixed cocktail of two liquids that have different weights such like water and oil. Their short fur has some white markings such as a pattern that matches Jadethorn's eyelids and neck marking whereas their long fur has patches of white finnish roaning. Their silhouette is similar to Coalstrike whereas their stance and physical mannerisms match closer to Wolfpack. Outside of the 'spiral' of different fur lengths, and their amber eyes they have no notable individual and unique traits, being a strange dull reflection of Jadethorn, Coalstrike and Wolfpack all at once... Or is something hiding behind their eyes, something more? Something beautiful, or something ugly? Only time will tell...

  Overall Personality → At first, this cat will be a bit of a meek thing, wanting to do practically everything and anything so that others notice them. Their voice will be soft, completely unlike that of her parents which potentially doesn't match up with her appearance. Generally, as a youth they will be pretty clingy towards their parents or anyone else that shows them even the tiniest shred of kindness, even more-so if it is genuine kindness and appreciation. Furthermore, because she will want to be noticed and in everyone's good graces, she will have a form of mischievous streak— sabotaging and undermining the acts of those that she isn't as attached to just to make herself seem more impressive, this is also her competitive side showing in a very subtle way, and it is highly likely that she will grow out of it. When speaking, she is rather formal, and her mannerisms cause her stride to be graceful as she is trying to imitate the idea of her mother that she has in her head early on.
  
  Eventually, this cat will become a confident individual, with a sort of welcoming and kind presence that exceeds her size, growing into an outspoken sort of cat that knows not to just go along with whatever others say, she will need a proper reason to attach herself to a cause as well as other cats. Their defiance will begin to grow in the face of pressure from her parents rather quickly, which will lead to her needing to become self sufficient in a multitude of ways. Furthermore, she will want to stand out, and be less like the worst that she sees in her parents outright. Rather than trying to emulate some perfect idea of them in her head, she will instead choose to carve her own path over following theirs— it is likely that she will end up very different to what is expected of her.

APPEARANCE

A tall and strong short haired black rosette tabby with low white. He is a bit bigger than the usual for his age, always was like that, which seems to slow down as he enters warriorhood, ending up at an average height. He is lanky until hitting apprentice age. With the training for warriorhood, he starts getting muscles and putting up weight. At the end of his training/apprenticeship, he is blocky, with well defined muscles.


Possible genetics:
If Coalstrike: carries Chocolate, Long-Haired, Non-Bengal, and Solid. Has a chance to carry Dilute.

PERSONALITY AND PLOT POINTS

FIERCE — TEMPERAMENTAL — VAIN — BROKEN ​

Kit - As a kit he was very much an extroverted and curious fellow. Blunt to a fault, he learns early there's expectations on how to behave and how to not behave, at first he tells what is in his mind: it's dumb and he wants to do other things, be his own person (with less insight than that, as he is very young still). At this age he wants to play and protect his siblings, sometimes fighting with even his own parents in favor of his siblings. As he is growing up, he starts to accept the weight his parents put on his shoulders. He will, as he is about to be apprenticed, start questioning his gender (he will be referring to himself as she/her until this point, open to have plot points about his transition!!).

Apprentice - He feels that his parents have high expectations for him and his siblings,and he wants to meet each one of them. He works hard, day and night training and doing his best to become a warrior, the best one possible. If any of his siblings rebels against their parents, he will grow cold and distant to that sibling, maybe even punctuating how he expected better of his kin, and that now that they are growing up they need to do better. May grow closer to a specific parent if one of them is his mentor, wanting to show off his abilities at every learning opportunity. At this point will become confused and unsure on who to look up to as his father, and may resent Jade (depending on how their relationship develops) for not knowing who his father is. At this stage he will start developing his vain and self-conceited personality, he will think he is better than others, specially than cats from other clans. Whenever he fails, he will start lashing out to those he considers beneath him, including his siblings. He will start using they/them for himself from 6 to 7 moons old, from then on he will start referring to himself as he/him, open to have plot points about his transition!!)

Warrior - He manages to pass his assessment, possibly even with flying colors. Still, he doesn't feel proud of himself or happy, he just feels hollow. Like he achieved everything he ever wanted, everyone is proud of him, maybe he even got his favorite parent to like him, and it still doesn't feel enough. He doesn't feel successful, he starts realizing that maybe he never will. He feels inadequate, everyone should want what he has, and it still doesn't feel good for him. He starts lashing out at others more and more times, even close friends, until it comes to a boiling point. He feels he has no one left, he feels cracking under the pressure of everything he should be but that he feels he may never be. And even how he should be feeling with everything that he succeeds on, but that he just can't feel accomplished, he always feels like he is lacking, like he is not good enough, not working hard enough. I would like to see how that would evolve in character with everyone involved, including possibly friends. Something makes him be able to shed all this pressure off. Not sure if it is a big fight, maybe he hurts someone badly before coming back to his senses and he feels guilty and strives to change to make up for it.
Maybe he gets support from friends and/or family, maybe even a clan or cross-clan boyfriend to help him make amends and even shed some of his cross-clan prejudice. This last part is the most open one because I would like to see how things would go depending on who is involved. I would very much like if he would make amends to his mother too, if he starts resenting her as an apprentice. He still may resent one to all parents about the pressure he felt under, but open to make amends with them. He will seek out his siblings to make amends too. He will then start looking for who he is and, especially, who he wants to be from then on.

As a warrior, he will try to befriend his siblings again, but it's up in the air whether he will be able to or not.

Kithood friends: He will be coming from many friends from kithood to only the friends he feels are not beneath him, in his apprentice years. As a warrior he may try to reconnect with old friends.

Apprentice friends: As an apprentice he will only befriend those he sees as excelling in the areas he considers important. As a warrior he may try to reconnect with the apprentices that at the time he considered to be beneath him.

Warrior friends: As a kit he will find adults mostly boring, but as he becomes an apprentice, he will favor adult friendships, especially those known for being excellent warriors. He will try to act more mature than his age to favor those friendships.

TBD Warrior: I would love it if one of his parents was a mentor, but in any way he will respect and look up to his mentor. He will do his best, wanting to be praised as often as possible.

Bearing a striking resemblance to his father, Obsidiankit was named for his bold coat. The structure of his face resembling his mother more. Though, his coat is thick. Obsidian's eyes reflect a tawny hue. Much lighter than his father's. His iris's hinting at the soft and fearful character beared beneath.

His morals are formed heavily by his parents. Hoping to grow half as strong as his father, Obsidian trains his hardest. He longs for the continued affection of his mother. Seeking her out for assistance in maintaining his coat long into adulthood.

Solid Blue x Black Smoke Rosette Ghost Tabby Chimera w/ Low White and Finnish Roan Spotting // reference (click)
Having her mother's build and size but her fathers' colouring this kit has white markings down her neck that give off the illusion of a stacking necklace, her bright red and golden ringed eyes stand out against her pelt's more muted colours (And possibly hint towards an affiliation with the Dark Forest) the Finnish roan spotting would lead anyone to believe that her real father must be Wolfpack alone but whether or not this is true remains to be seen. Her fur length is similar to that of her mother's and is always kept presentable.

KIT - OBEDIENT, LOYAL, HOPEFUL
- Closest to her mother during this time, Jade would be who she wants to impress the most during these Moons. Always cleaning her pelt, keeping herself as presentable as possible at all times to keep Jade happy and most importantly proud of her.
- Curious about her fathers' but confused as to which one is truly her own father, are they both?
- Unsure of her siblings though tries to form bonds at this stage

APPRENTICE - OBEDIENT(?), LOYAL, FOCUSED
- Still fiercely loyal and (mostly) obedient, she'll become more tomboy-ish around this time, going out of her way to excel at anything and everything in order to be seen as more than just good enough to all of her parents. Since she's unsure which father is truly her own (Or if it's even both of them?) She instead tries to impress the both of them instead of focusing on just one.
- Biggest years of trying to impress her parents, trains overtime to stand out from her clanmates. Will seek training beyond just one mentor in order to achieve this. Even if it means training with cats outside the clans or even other clans (Seeing this as still loyal as the training would benefit her family and ShadowClan as a whole)
- If possible would go for having a Dark Forest mentor alongside a regular mentor as well, she will train her absolute heart out. Have I mentioned that she'll train a lot?
- When around Jadethorn would still try and keep appearances her mother would most approve of.
- Are her siblings just competition? She still loves them though and would do much to protect them.

WARRIOR - STOIC, INTIMIDATING, STRONG, LOYAL (...?), OBEDIENT (...)
- This stage will depend a lot on how the first two go!

NOTE // Things may change along the way given the nature of roleplay but this will remain a guide!

FEARS AND INSPIRATIONS:

• FEAR // FAILURE - Being a disappointment or being seen as not good enough to mother dearest and to either father especially with there being high expectations. Fear of failure drives her to train harder than any cat really ever should. Weakness is not an option.
• FEAR // LONELINESS - With all her training and focus on impressing her parents will she ever hope to forge any real friendships and meaningful relationships beyond just serving ShadowClan?
• FEAR // LOSING HER PARENTS - What will her purpose be then? What would she have then?
• INSPIRATION // HIGH POSITIONS - How did they all get to where they are now? Will she ever get there? By the stars she wants to! With a Night Guard for a mother, another Night Guard or the Deputy as a father (or both?) she's inspired to be just as great if not more than her parents.
• INSPIRATION // SABLESTAR - For founding the great ShadowClan of course! What a fierce, noble and cunning guy. He did what he had to do to form the best clan in all the forest.
• INSPIRATION // THE DARK FOREST/STARCLAN(?) - They give the leaders 9 lives? That's a lot of lives to use to show your parents you're the best with.

AESTHETICS, BASED OFF OF, SONGS, ETC:

• TIGRESS - Kung Fu Panda // Potential Voice Claim but Tigress' character is a lot like how I imagine this kit to turn out like! Strong, fierce, silent. Trained to be the very best of the best. She may not be as big as either father or any sibling with grandiose but she's packed with just as much punch as any cat larger than her and whatever she can't make up for in strength she makes up for in skill instead. Not to mention the same story beat of never quite living up to the expectations of a parental figure despite her all her efforts.
• BRUTUS // "Or am I just wishing I could be like you?" | "This event will be history and I'll be great too. I don't want what you have, I wanna be you"
• The Family Jewels - MARINA // "Oh, you think I'm unfit. Little did you know that I was cut for it"
• Are you Satisfied? - MARINA // "It's my problem, it's my problem on how fast I will succeed" | " High achiever, don't you see? Baby, nothing comes for free they say I'm a control freak driven by a greed to succeed, nobody can stop me" | "Are you satisfied with an average life?"

NOTES, POTENTIAL PLOTS, ETC:

• DARK FOREST TRAINING // I like to think it's how she gets her red eyes in the first place! This kit is going to train beyond her limits to impress her parents and I think DF training will help with that a lot.
• TIGRESS OR TAI LUNG? // With enough of the wrong influence and being sent down the wrong path perhaps instead of Tigress she might end up more like Tai Lung instead. Training so hard only to be denied greatness she may feel she is owed.
• RIVERCLAN RELATIONSHIP // I think it would be very poetic if she fell in love with a RiverClan cat eventually hehe

either father works; blue rosette tabby bicolor/black solid chimera with blue eyes

insecure about her unknown fatherhood, opalkit finds herself with one option: chase the approval of both. their praise is only second to the praise of her mother – she can only be certain she is jade's, and clings to her. in opal's eyes, jade is the perfect example of how she should strive to be.

opal considers herself a confusing tangle, a knot in the mess that her existence caused. something to be walled away behind a religion she finds early on, power. though her parents are high ranks, their joining in a litter is not particularly noble. with shadowclan's constant nipping at the heels of drama, opal wants her name uttered reverently, fear and admiration echoing on every tongue. in apprenticeship she will frequent the border often and try to scare neighboring clan cats.

moody and competitive, opal delivers her hardest efforts, but keeps any gloating hidden in her eyes. she does the work and moves on, pocketing achievements like daggers to be later drawn. while under a facade of hard work and wanting little reward, opal isn't afraid to use it in arguments and to get what she wants. it becomes clear as time goes on that she is only helpful for her own sake, and the most observant cats can see her eyes skim others' faces for approval. she doesn't just want to help, as much as she may claim it in passing; she wants to help her clan the best and the most, seeing her parents' reputations being dragged upwards alongside hers as she pushes herself to victories.

- experimental and testy; scentlines are just smells, prey is just food and animals wander across the borders anyways, herbs grow regardless of the clans territories
- might only chase high-status cats in warriorhood, warped view of love and priorities that needs to be broken
- loves the work of thieves, begins practicing on clanmates in kithood to prepare for her imminent promotion. please lawd give her a trapper mentor so she can crash out
