Welcome to ShadowClan's adopt thread! These are concepts and adopts of things we would like to see in the clan or just fun ideas tossed into the wind because you can't expect one person to roleplay every single idea they get....right?....r-right?
Anyways, please make sure to read each thoroughly before applying and make sure that you are approved (either with a reply or a LIKE emote from the ShadowClan account) before committing.

If you like the concept of an adopt but do not wish to use the design and use your own you are more than welcome to, however this is for NEW characters and not existing ones ! So make sure to apply with a new OC entirely!

RULES & REQUIREMENTS

Any designs supplied with adopts here are specifically for that adopt and meant to be for ShadowClan! Please don't apply for one with the intent to use it elsewhere/have them leave ShadowClan!
There is no heavy activity requirement for these adopts! However, plot specific adopts must be willing to reply to their plot specific threads when necessary!
This is FCFS (First come, first server) so just make a basic form with all your information and post to claim! Please wait for a react from a HP (leader, deputy, med, mca or the ShadowClan account) before making your character/sub!
Don't forget to CHECK-IN these characters once claimed, this is still required!

SHADOWCLAN LOYALISTS (BRAINS & BRAWN)

Genetics: Blue lynx point with low white & Chocolate Sepia w low white.​

A bonded pair, whether that is mates, close friends or siblings is up to the two who adopt them. They never leave one another's side and since the colony split have grown even more dependent on the other. They are loyal to ShadowClan and Sablestar and trusted to carry out whatever he asks, though not Night Guards officially he regards them with a similar respect and should they prove themselves with their time and efforts he might one day add them to his council [this is based entirely on activity and IC reasons and not guaranteed].
The Lynx point is cunning, quiet, intelligent and a tactician - they act as a thief.
The Sepia is powerful, built more like a ThunderClanner and broad in size - they act as a trapper.

These two come with these designs for free, please do not repurpose these designs outside this specific adopt!

THE NEGOTIATOR

When ShadowClan was formed the cats there committed to Sablestar's cause without question, however 'The Negotiator' wanted more for them than the marshes, than the peat and wet. The Negotiator is staunchly opposed to several of their leader and deputy's ideals and goals. They will argue back, but not in such a way as to make a scene or start a fight; their questions grow more and more louder as the moons pass. They have zero desire to see ShadowClan stand alone in the darkness and want them to have allies and a future rich with bounty. They work behind their high positions in efforts to make allies in other clans, understanding them and trying to build connections.
Be warned, this role is one that once found out could have dire consequences.

PEAT PAWPAW (CLOSED)

Peat Pawpaw is an old cat, older than the clans and maybe even older than the colony itself. They lived alone and unbothered for a long time in the marshes only to be disturbed when ShadowClan made its home there. Crotchety and ill-tempered, there was no removing them when the clan settled so they simply settled around them. Peat Pawpaw has several grown kits wandering around the world now, perhaps they come home to find this new clan and stay at some point?

You are ENCOURAGED to make adoption threads for their many offspring, Peat Pawpaw has been around a long time-surely they have had at least 3 litters.

CAREGIVER DREAMS (CLOSED)

It is nearly leafbare and so kits are not permitted to be born during this time for fear of the clan lacking the food to sustain them, that doesn't make it easy for someone who wants nothing more than to be a caregiver. But at least the winter cold means they have ample time to scope out prospective sires and only the best will do for their first litter! Gossipy, loud and maybe a little dramatic, the Caregiver Dreamer has names already picked for every possible color option, every idea, every little noise made...
Possible Plot Options
-Come Newleaf they realize they are sterile but the kitten fever is too strong. Maybe another clan has some to spare...
-Has a single kitten they are overprotective of and spoil absolutely rotten, their baby can do no wrong and you better step off.
-Has six kittens, realizes this is not what its cracked up to be, and ditches the nursery to make them someone elses problem.

I am so enamored by the Caregiver Dreams ...... she will be named Snowdropheart

I think she has a big family and grew up with lots of siblings/half siblings and has always wanted to have the same kind of big family. Either finds out she is sterile or has one (1) kitten (or more but only one lives) which is a difficult birth which forces her to be sterile and she cannot achieve her dreams of having a big family (not with her own kittens at least)

Age around 20 moons old (born in February when Snowdrops first bloomed)

Name: Pete -> Peatgrass (Pawpaw)
Age: 114 moons
Description: A thinning furred old tom, drooping whiskers and sunken eyes, pelt marred with long healed scarring and certainly missing a few teeth. With silver pelt dappled in faded orange and dulling green eyes, his pelt had been begrudgingly adorned with leaves and flowers and all sorts, he's convinced it's by the youngesters trying to cover up his scent if he went and croaked before anyone noticed (in reality, some cats care about him, he's just an old miser).
Personality: Imagine Ebenezer Scrooge got turned into a smelly old cat /silly. Having lived in the pocosin for moons and moons and only Starclan knows how long he had actually been there for, he had spent most of his life just called Pete. A name he can't quite remember anymore, who gave it to him, maybe his long-faded mother or a twoleg who he had run from years and years ago. But since those mites on his fur, or Shadowclan, as they call themselves, settled into his pocosin, they've been impossible to shake.

But instead of his stubbornness shaking them off as it usually did, they stuck around! He would have chased those loads of brats off by now if they weren't feeding him... It seemed as if they misunderstood his name, though, sticking grass to his name in their weird little ceremony. He had no idea what Peatgrass meant, but it was close enough. Worse than that was the somehow affectionate pawpaw he had been bestowed as a nickname. Now, his grandkits had all the freedom to call him that; he might be a miser and grump of an old man, but he loved his family. But when uttered by grown cats, he scoffs and rolls his eyes. Many cats ignore him, others try to win his friendship or affections, but the old tom seems dead set in his ways, only wavering for his own kin, his frankly enormous family that seems to emerge from every nook and cranny of Shadowclan at this rate.

Note: I'm gonna do several litters with this old thang!!

• Litter 2: Pete x NPC1 (dead): 2 surviving offspring - ~76 moons
• Litter 3: Pete x NPC2 (dead): 2 surviving offspring - ~58 moons

Maybe he gets a living partner I haven't decided but the old man had outlived at least 2 partners ! and several of his children. :p

I really like the idea behind them so applying for The Negotiator! With the name Frecklefern -- Can choose a different name if this is potentially too ThunderClan sounding!
(Really down for the idea of having a guy who will probably end up dying suffering the dire consequences of his actions sooner or later but not before some fun plots first!
Brother to Howee's Snowdropheart (The Caregiver Dream's spot) he'll be around the same moons in age! Likely will use their specialty of the Trapper role (Or Thief?) to play off speaking to those outside of ShadowClan as just spying/stealing from the other clans/outsiders Probably very suspicious/untrusting of how every clan except ShadowClan seems to know of StarClan but they don't and will want to amend this especially if they find out more about StarClan
