    SCENT: Light and earthy, reminiscent of sun-dried grass.
    VOICE: A rather nasally contratenor achieved with practice over the course of moons, coarse but warm. Staggerdance can still raise their pitch to its pre-transition range with considerable effort; something they rarely do except as a party trick, but goes to show their penchant for melodrama. They've subconsciously picked up a Texan drawl since joining WindClan.
    BODY LANGUAGE: Staggerdance is very expressive and always, always moving, in spite of their collected persona—as if staying still was out of the question. Most commonly, this can be seen in the form of tapping a paw, flicking their ears, or sheathing and unsheating their claws in quick succession.
    OFTEN SEEN: Chatting, wandering about, procrastinating unless specifically assigned a task. The one chore they will do willingly is tunneling.
    FAITH: Atheist, and has a bone to pick with the idea of StarClan in particular. Will humor talk of other faiths unless they're being persuaded to join.

    THUNDERCLAN Neutral. They only know of them through assorted rumours, and it seems they're not exactly friendly... though, thankfully, whatever quarrel their council has is not with them. Staggerdance approaches them with guarded curiosity.
    RIVERCLAN Neutral. They only know of them through assorted rumours, and it seems they're fairly harmless (to WindClan, at least). Staggerdance approaches them with unabashed curiosity.
    SHADOWCLAN Neutral. They only know of them through assorted rumours, and it seems they're rather aloof neighbours. Staggerdance approaches them with tempered curiosity.
    SKYCLAN Neutral-Negative. They only know of them through assorted rumours, and it seems they're not exactly friendly... and trying to bend the rest of the Clans to their rules? How dare they tell them what to do?! Thankfully, however, it seems the crux of the issue does not lie with the moor cats. Staggerdance approaches them with caution.
    OUTSIDERS Positive. They're only trying to get by, aren't they? Aren't we all? Staggerdance hasn't been given a reason to treat them any differently from a Clanmate they don't know.

    Staggerdance is, once again, an average tracker—they know their Clanmates' scents and that of prey, so they don't think there's any room to improve here.

    Staggerdance's refusal to relent from whatever opinion they're holding means they are a... less than ideal arbitrer, to say the least.
    TUNNELING

    Staggerdance has found themself a niche in tunneling: their size, agility and strength mean they can navigate and dig underground without much issue.
    HEALING
    ​
    Staggerdance has absolutely no medicinal knowledge besides one or two folk remedies of dubious efficacy... and, for once, they're willing to leave it to the experts.

    Staggerdance MAY start fights. They WILL NOT flee. They MAY show mercy. Despite themself, they don't usually throw themself into fights with other cats wily-nily; they need a valid reason to expend valuable energy in battle. That being said, Staggerdance does have a short fuse, particularly when younger cats' safety is on the line... Their fighting style is highly aggressive and forgoes stealth in favor of spectacle: they'll leap and twist to catch their enemy's attention, hoping to distract them while closing their distance until they're within striking range. They are capable of dealing powerful blows and bites, yet they can only keep this display going for so long—the more the fight draws out, the more likely they are to be defeated.

    They WILL start fights against other animals as they believe they cannot be reasoned with. They WILL NOT fight young apprentices and will instead attempt to usher them to safety, regardless of Clan.
    They're not beyond using dirty tactics if it gets them what they want, and will deride and mock those who criticize them for doing so.
    They favor their right paw when clawing at enemies.

Here's the thing. You said a "jackdaw is a crow."

Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that.

As someone who is a scientist who studies crows, I am telling you, specifically, in science, no one calls jackdaws crows. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing.

If you're saying "crow family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Corvidae, which includes things from nutcrackers to blue jays to ravens.

So your reasoning for calling a jackdaw a crow is because random people "call the black ones crows?" Let's get grackles and blackbirds in there, then, too.

Also, calling someone a human or an ape? It's not one or the other, that's not how taxonomy works. They're both. A jackdaw is a jackdaw and a member of the crow family. But that's not what you said. You said a jackdaw is a crow, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the crow family crows, which means you'd call blue jays, ravens, and other birds crows, too. Which you said you don't.

It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?
