xxxxxMists will lead where you belong - Sweep me off my feet

The chocolate tom ambled along through the trees, his earthen hued pelt blending in neatly to the bark he passed by on long legs that made up the majority of his small stature. Whiskers quivered as he hummed, noisily parading himself through the shrouded forest without much of a care to his steps nor hesitation in his stride but while he seemed idle and directionless he did have purpose for being here. The scent of cats was growing strong with every paw forward, the still cold ground under paw seeming more and more well walked than before as though many had passed these places already and worn the path smooth. It didn't take long to stumble into another cat, his dark blue eyes widening briefly before he flashed his teeth in a smile as he got a better look.

She was around his height, same age probable, a sleek blue tabby with eyes like the sky itself and her underbelly and paws cloaked in snow white fur - he'd almost not seen her until her tail moved; the backdrop of the crisp morning skyline in its pale blues and whites, the faintest tint of pink, had nearly cloaked her entirely from his view at the angle he walked.
"Well hey there, pretty kitty, did another group of cats move in to this area? I thought there was some colony nearby before but I ain't seen sign of any of them." His plans to scavenge from the group were looking quite grim now, he had intended to make friends and see if he could get a bite to eat without a fuss but apparently fate had other ideas in mind for him this day.

Flutterstep's muscles flexed, claws itching sink into the robin she'd come upon during her early morning stroll. She hadn't intended to hunt, but she wouldn't pass up the opportunity now that it'd presented itself to her. She wanted nothing more than to leap at the little thing- but she pushed the urge down. She needed to wait, get a little closer. The bird was perched atop a fallen tree, and was still too far away for her to cleanly reach in one leap. As Flutterstep crept within jumping distance, claws flexing silently in preparation, the robin suddenly lifted it's wings and fluttered away. Flutterstep silently cursed and emerged from her hiding spot. She'd hesitated too long. Sighing, she leapt onto the log and gazed at the sky, fluffy tail twitching in frustration. She sat like that for a while, breathing in the chilly morning air and watching the sky lighten. It was... peaceful. Perhaps she should make these morning strolls a habit? Perhaps she could even convince one of her clanmates to join her. Hmm..

As Flutterstep considered who might be willing to come along, her sense of peace was shattered by an unfamiliar voice. Flutterstep jumped, fur fluffing up in surprise at the sudden appearance of the strange cat. The tom smiled up at her, as if he hadn't just surprised the daylights out of her. It took a moment for Flutterstep to calm her thoughts enough to process what the chocolate tom had said. She ignored "We... The colony doesn't exist anymore. It split into factions and went their separate ways." That was certainly a lighter way to explain what had happened, but she couldn't bring herself to go into the details of it for a stranger. "You're in the territory of one of those factions now. We are ThunderClan." She narrowed her eyes down at the lean, somewhat scruffy, stranger from her perch on the log. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" He didn't seem like he'd be hostile. He seemed like just another wandering loner, like so many of the colony cats had been when they'd settled with the group before the split. But then again, many of those same colony cats had ended up turning their claws on their fellows. She knew better now, than to trust others so easily.
