Hello and welcome to Purrgatory! We are an 18+ Warrior Cat Roleplay set in an AU where the clans were unable to leave the forest territories and perished!
It has been 100 or more years since then, the clans of the forest are but distant memories to any cats still alive, stories passed down to kits of strangely named wild warriors and leaders with nine lives but the time of the clans is upon us once more and the stars shine yet again.
Welcome to SkyClan's (Platonic) Matchmaker event! This is our very first event in the forest, but small and bite-sized for your convenience. This is an optional event with a small art reward by Loki, a 'Lovebug Squishie'. There's two different ways to earn it (there's no extra credit if you do both) by either doing a private thread with someone randomized, or a cute little bingo sheet made by Loki! Because it's a mini event in February, there's a heavy theme around character dynamics and relationships and we are hoping to see some juicy development no matter how you choose to go about it!
This event will be open from February 14th to March 1st. Reach out to the HP team if you have any questions.
Event Sign-Ups
If you would like to have your character(s) randomly assigned to a partner, please post below with your character's name and their account tag (@/usernamehere) with the header: "Swipe Right!". Submissions open Feb. 10th and close Feb. 14th. Pairs will be announced shortly there-after.
If you would like to participate in Bingo, please reply below with your character(s) name and account tag - you must include each character that you will be participating with.
Rules for Prize Qualification
- Your assigned thread + prompt must have 2+ posts from each character to qualify for the art reward.
- Bingo prompts must be completed in an open thread to qualify as a "stamp"
- Prompts are open-ended and may be "answered" in any way a player sees fit, as long as it is clear that the prompt has been addressed.
- You must update your post on this thread as you answer prompts, and link back to them for the team to verify at the end of the event. The HP team will not manually search for these posts and you may be unable to collect your prize if prompts are left unclaimed.
1-on-1 Prompts
This first part of our mini-event: the actual matchmaking. Characters submitted below will be randomized to create pairs, that will then have the option of any of the given prompts to create a private or PAFP thread to complete before March 1st. For the purposes of this event, we will consider threads that include at least 2 replies from each character to be "complete." Players are free to more, if they wish, and are free to continue these threads after the mini-event if they so choose.
Valentine's Bingo- There's still beauty in the leafbare season, take a walk and point out what you enjoy about nature
- It's chilly today... bundle up with your clanmates to stay warm!
- There's still work to be done in the new camp, weave nests with your clanmates! Reach out to see if anyone needs help
- Basking in the sun, your cats debate the best cloud shapes.
- After a tough day, your character finds solace in a friend's comforting words
- While star-gazing late at night, your characters share their wildest dreams, and ponder on how they will be achieved.
- Someone saves another char from a small danger, and jokingly says now you owe me for life - friendship blossom?
- Y/C Challenges another to a moss-ball competition, but they keep cheating in the silliest ways
- Rumors seemingly flit around SkyClan like birds in springtime... start a rumor about another cat to join in on the mischief!
Are you not a "private" person? Do you prefer chaos to order and contentment? Well, then do we have an option for you: our Valentine's Bingo Card! These "prompts" are a bit more ... well they sure are something, and they are fully customizable to reach all of your chaotic needs this lovey-dovey season. Characters that successfully include one of these "prompts" in their everyday actions will get a stamp on their Bingo card. Once three stamps are collected in a row, that character will be eligible for a Lovebug Squishie with their partner / friend / rival of choice.
