SKYCLAN'S OFFICIAL SHP RECRUITMENT

General Info

Hello! Welcome to Skyclan's standing semi-High Position auditioning thread! This thread takes the place of an "s/HP consent form", as we'd like to keep rolling auditions available as plots evolve and activity shifts. Sun Guards are the enforcers of SkyClan's Laws and traditions: think of them as the most experienced, most helpful of SkyClan's recruits. They help keep track of everyone as Leaders and Deputies cannot be everywhere at once. They act as their eyes and ears.

Expectations

Hawkstar is looking for proven, capable warriors to add to her council. She values loyalty, ferocity, and an ability to teach and pass on knowledge to future generations. Cats who have previously mentored at least one apprentice to warriorhood are going to be looked upon more favorably than cats who haven't (ICly; you may still apply if you haven't had an apprentice yet!)
We are looking for characters that keep up with the flow of the clan, with lots of great OOC activity as well! We want to see you in the Discord, casually interacting and offering your character for little plots as well as the bigger ones. It is good to be seen in every-day clan life, beyond just over-arching story arcs.
Sun Guards will be expected to host patrol threads, assign every-day tasks, hold smaller events, and encourage activity by being open, friendly, and consistent throughout their tenure of the council.

We don't expect the form to be much! Please include the simplicities like:
Name
Length of term wanted (short / long / plot-relevant)
IC reason Hawkstar might pick your character
Any fun plots you might want to do!

Ultimately, this "audition" gives our team the permission to view your character as a viable option to pick for the council, as we do not want to force anybody into a position they would not be comfortable holding for one reason or another. Please let one of the SkyClan HP team know if you have any questions regarding this process.

i know hawkstar isn't a great fan of kittypets/daylighters, which is exactly where fuji comes from obviously but maybe she could be swayed by flowercloud's vouching? also, when skyclan reaches the forest he will not immediately return to a kittypet life either but stay with skyclan for some time while everyone adjusts. this may possibly be misinterpreted as fuji staying more permanently!
while fujimoto isn't necessarily the face of confidence he does have a quick mind for solutions! he struggles to trust his tuition sometimes, leading him to doubt his logic but is easily encouraged by his clan and especially former mentor, flowercloud. being a sun guard could bring him under a pressure that breaks him but leads to finding that courage.
if he is chosen as a sun guard, he will still have a desire to return to his daylight lifestyle. he's not ashamed to be or like being a kittypet, which could potentially rise tensions (in also open to demotion!) between the council should they feel slighted by it.
fuji will have an obvious bias towards his fellow daylight warriors and might struggle to feel like he fits in on the council, knowing its not his desire to be there full time and self-sabatoge as a reflex to that

Maybe Hawk decided to extend an olive branch, acknowledging Maisey's dedication to the clan? Maybe someone vouches for her? idk sorry ;w;

I think it would be a really fun excuse to have Hawk and Maisey butt heads more. I don't even think they would disagree all that much, aside from their view on daylight warriors - they just dislike eachother enough that they don't realize they're saying the same thing. Maybe they finally find the thing that'll make Maisey break character and call Hawk a bitch. who knows!

ic reason hawkstar might pick your character - NEPOTISM BABEYYY!! other than that, starlitpath is a well established warrior with an apprentice, and is well trusted by hawkstar, being her child. he has good instincts and, while young, could be a good addition to the council for his connection with the other young warriors.
any fun plots you might want to do - it would be fun to do a nepotism plot... other than that not specifically!

ic reason hawkstar might pick your character: dependable guy! he's around. he's here and there and answering orders and taking charge when needed! has a good head on his shoulders, took charge of a handful of patrols during the journey. helped defend against the fox. clan-born and raised as well!
any fun plots?: nothing specifically! though if you have any ideas i'm open to em'

Short/Plot
Despite being a brand new warrior (once the meeting concludes) he was trained by Hawkstar herself and has picked up and developed her personal bias against daylight warriors and kittypets, has actively acted on her behalf before as a snitch and is more than willing to play the part of her villain. He will throw his weight around arrogantly, this would absolutely go to his ego. He would absolutely be a Hawkstar 'yes man', never disagreeing and always backing her up even if she's clearly in the wrong.
This is a short term plot because I feel such blatant hate for his daylight clanmates and kittypet in general wouldn't fly long term, he will eventually push too much or go too far.

Spoiler: this isnt for until later as im doing slowburn stuff

Mousefang and Hawkstar's dislike of one another is why I think slowly building to some level of understanding would be fun, he isn't afraid to openly oppose her if she acts too outlandish, but isn't so petty as to refuse orders he finds reasonable and is a good, hardworking warrior despite his sullen demeanor and disdain of how she has changed his mother's clan.
Mousefang is just here to be a foil to Hawk in a way, he's the 'patrol guy' of SkyClan but having him gradually loosen up especially with his friendship with Starlitpath developing is my fun slowburn plot for him.

she is almost unblinkingly loyal to hawkstar, would probably jump in front of a car for her. supported her punishment of fitz, and took part in it by taking over the training of teaselpaw for a few weeks (teaselpaw, soon to be warrior when the meeting is over, future mentor of des also when the meeting is over!), and has her mother snowveil's knack for teaching and youth.
Hawkstar...i am ur loyal sword, your trusted right hand...your loyal knight....
