STARCLAN ADOPTS

StarClan's dormancy came from countless years of not being remembered, finally at last the dust stirs with the clans reforming and perhaps too in response to the Dark Forest rising as well. The once distant memories of some lost cats begin to revive to help form the new council of stars within the sky.
These cats may be related to or have been in a previous clan with the Dark Forest adopts! You may apply here if you applied there as well!
This will only be open until I have enough cats to balance it out.

RULES & REQUIREMENTS

• The cats for these adopts come from a time prior to the original clans that fell. They will not be related to those. [Ex - You can't be Graystripe's great great grandfather etc...]
• These cats can have been previous HPs in their past lives, even leaders but please apply with them with warrior names and the optional other ranks they might've been. (I RNG roll for these)
• The form is a free-for-all, include the following basics: Name, Previous Clan, Previous Rank (Optional other ranks that must be approved), appearance, personality, how they died...
• You need to be approved just to confirm ranking, but it's mostly FCFS!
• These DO NOT REQUIRE CHECK-INS nor does your PREFIX need to be claimed, these cats are dead! You do have to wait on approval from me for the rank though and so I can catch illegal names/genetics :3

Appearance: A black smoke with low white and a once-broken lower jaw, with sharp blue eyes. here
Personality/Description: A quiet but dependable cat, Charredboar is normally seen wearing a scowl. Don't judge him by his cover, however- his soul and heart are of gold, each and every waking moment dedicated to ensuring his apprentices knew all of his 'trade' secrets. Each and every moment dedicated to hunting and patrolling with the clan. Loyal to the end, Charredboar was never known for jokes or anger, simply a presence around the clan that everyone knew and could ask for a favor. Something-something 'just because he looks scary doesn't mean he is'.
Notable Events: Charredboar had his jaw broken during apprenticeship in an accident. He was rehabilitated in camp, and while he suffered during his life tearing prey apart, his clanmates kept him alive. It healed well enough thanks to a heavily skilled medicine cat, and he was able to form most words fully. Even if it is strange looking, he was his happiest once he was healed and bore this 'mark' for the rest of his moons.
Manner of Death: A fox had set up within the tunnels, but Charredboar gave his life depending the rest of the patrol (and his apprentice) from the fox while they escaped.

Appearance: A long haired tortie with icy blue eyes
Personality/Description: a gentle soul with a shady past, plagued by visions when she was younger, visions that no longer are with her now. she ended up becoming a medicine cat apprentice and after that, a medicine cat herself. she's quiet but very observant, a bit shy and has a stammer she cannot get rid of. she has a fierce love for the clan she grew up in and those who raised her up to be who she was. Mentored under Creekheart. Willowleaf speaks in ways it almost seems like a poem being spoken. her voice is soft.
Notable Events: Through her vision, she saved one of the clan cats from a plot her own mother created. she continued to be an asset to her clan during her role as a medicine cat.
Manner of Death: Died protecting kits from a pack of rogues.

✧ appearance: a lh torbie with low white, golden eyes and a scarred face. darkflame is a lithe but muscular tabby she-cat. her pelt is mostly brown and black stripes, dappled with ginger. her honey golden eyes are almond shaped, and her left eye is scarred over and blind from a fox attack. with a muscular body and pelt littered with scars, she can be quite intimidating, although she is not the largest cat out there.
✧ personality: this is a motherly cat with a fire of protection burning within her. she was in tune with her clan in life, a very present member, someone who would check in with each clanmate regularly. she was caring and intelligent, invested in the wellbeing of those around her. outspoken, stubborn, and calculating, she would often be involved in the inner workings of the clan, and (if leader) made her way to leadership due to the love of her clanmates. in starclan, she is a trustworthy and caring guide, who has a renewed interest in her former clan, and severe distaste for the corruption it is currently experiencing.
✧ notable events: half clan - born to a riverclan dam and a shadowclan sire, her mother gave her to her father when she was old enough to walk. shortly after, her mother died of greencough, so she never was able to know her. she grew up extremely loyal to shadowclan, sometimes even forgetting her half-clan heritage, although others did not. in her early apprenticehood, her father was killed by a monster on the thunderpath. with no siblings and dead parents, she made her own family, adopting orphaned and lost children in her warriorhood.

APPEARANCE:
LH chocolate tortie with high white and brilliant green eyes very muscular and wide set with long tendrils of orange, black, and white. The patches are rounded and dapple across her back, hips, shoulders, neck and head. Her paws are rounded and large with multicolored claws of black and white.

PERSONALITY:
Morningdapple was a stoic faced and reserved cat who believed in action over words. Her blunt honesty often made diplomacy challenging but her sincerity and dedication earned her respect. She had a deep love for storytelling and listening to others' experiences, which gave her a strong understanding of her clanmates perspectives. Tirelessly hardworking, she pushed herself past her limits, often to the point of exhaustion or injury. Despite her intimidating exterior, she was a gentle, kind soul who thrived when helping others.

LIFE:
Born to an outside Kittypet and a Thunderclan Deputy her existence began with controversy but her dedication had won others over. Having been split from her other siblings the young Morningdapple was held to very high standards by her clanborn father. Growing up she felt as though there was something to prove and everything to give. The molly never looked back and even at her parents death she always believed in moving forward. She was a rock of a cat in life. Morningdapple carried the burdens of others willingly, never complaining, and found fulfillment in making herself useful. In harsher moons, she would often take on extra duties atop her own. Such as kitsitting, training, border patrols, or even nighttime scouting. It was difficult to get her to settle down and rest even when ill. Just to ease the weight on her Clanmates' shoulders.

If Morningdapple had been leader, her reign would have been marked by selflessness and it's brevity. She would have struggled with public speaking and relied heavily on her deputy to lead meetings. Preferring to focus on ceremonies and direct interactions with her Clanmates. Her leadership style would have centered on maintaining peace, ensuring her warriors respected boundaries, and punishing disobedience with additional labor or late-night duties. She would have spent her granted lives freely valuing the safety and security of her Clan above her own existence. Morningstar's newfound connection with Starclan would have been deeply personal and affirming, solidifying her resolve to give all she had to protect her loved ones.

DEATH:
Her friend's kits were due to earn their new names and midway into the ceremony a panic broke out across the camp. A large dog had broken loose from their two legs while walking through the territory and rampaged into the clearing. Its beady eyes gunned for the smallest in their group as cats ran left and right. In a split-second decision, she had flung herself at the intruder to spare the lives of the apprentices. She went down screeching and clawing in her last moments and was able to save the cats she treasured most. The dog would have taken all of her remaining lives.

HAPPIEST MOMENT:
When her friend named one of her kits after her. She had never felt more loved or more proud.

NAME: Whiteflame
RANK & CLAN: Queen & ThunderClan
DETAILS & HISTORY: A white splashed red lynx point; stocky by design but unusually graceful beneath the undergrowth. Once regarded as one of the better apprentices of her generation, however her efforts noticeably fell short after she began requesting patrols to the RiverClan border. Even when locked in battle, she seemed to bare only mercy upon her opponents; her nickname quickly became Softpaws after she let a pretty awful offender escape.

Once accused of loving a cat outside of the Clan, Whiteflame became somewhat of a recluse within her own home. Once bubbly and personable, she distanced herself from the ridicule of her community. Her lover from across the border, a RiverClan cat named Blacksnow warned her of StarClan's misdeeds and mischief. While still believing in them herself, hopeful they will forgive her, Whiteflame tells Blacksnow that she is pregnant. She will not reveal the parentage of her litter but she will raise them to be strong, uniquely unprejudiced warriors.

Unbeknownst to her, Blacksnow begins to have fearful nightmares predicting her death and the death of their litter. She is unable to prepare or warn her own medicine cat due to the distance, and out of fear of being mistreated by said medicine cat, Whiteflame kits alone. Complications arise and by the time she is found, it is too late. Whiteflame passes due to childbirth, as does her litter. This news reaches Blacksnow via a mournful gathering detail, leading her lover down a horrible route in response.

NAME: Creekwater (Creekstar)
AGE (AT DEATH): 23 moons
PREVIOUS RANK: Leader/Deputy or Warrior
APPEARANCE: Short haired blue spotted tabby with low white and stormy blue eyes. (Yes I threw this together fast but it's just the idea waghhhh) A long limbed tom with sleek fur. The only noteworthy thing in terms of appearance is his white mane that accentuates his long neck. His build is not stocky but there is a little bit of muscle.
PERSONALITY: Creek is a kind, clumsy, caring, compassionate, and languid tom. He was particularly caring and compassionate towards kits and apprentices, even strangers. It was noted by several within his clan, as well as those outside of his clan. Though, it goes without saying that his compassion and care were taken advantage of at times. Creek is no fool, he has always known that such traits could bite him the back. However, he is empathetic and merciful to those who have taken advantage of his kindness or have wronged him. It goes without saying that he is quite forgiving. He is also friendly and laid back.
LIFE: A tom born from a cross clan relationship. His mother a Riverclanner and his father a Windclanner. However, he never knew of his real father. The whole time he along with everyone else within the clan assumed his real father had been another Riverclanner as he shared a certain likeness to Jaggedstone. It also helped that his mother had been in a relationship the entire time with Jaggedstone as well. None were aware that he was a product of an affair until after his warrior ceremony, in which his mother pulled him aside to tell him the truth of his blood. Understandably, he was beyond upset. He could not forgive his mother, but he couldn't bear to tell the man that he called father this whole time that they were not related in any capacity. Soon, the Riverclan would battle an Windclan in which his mother lost his life. Initially he felt relief, only to have guilt eat away at him. It was from this point forward he decided to forgive those who have wronged him. A trait that still follows him in death. In all, he lived a typical clan life. He didn't cause trouble and did what was required of him. If he had been leader than his main priority has always been the future (kits and apprentices). To the warriors and older members of the clan it may have been seen as him having favoritism, but it was far from it. He knew deep down that it was their job to teach their young and shape them into fine warriors to a brighter future.
MANNER OF (FINAL) DEATH: Saw an apprentice from an enemy clan wandering in the outskirts of Riverclan territory, but noted the distress from said apprentice. Instead of chasing off the apprentice or escorting them away, he decided to spend time with the apprentice and console them. Assuming that the apprentice was fine, he had turned his back from them for a moment. It was then that the apprentice who he had helped betrayed him by striking him in the back of his head. Creek had fallen in river as a result and subsequently drowned by the very same apprentice he had helped.

Name: Seabriar

Appearance: A pale grey, almost white tom with a shredded ear and ocean blue eyes.
Personality/Description: Competitive to a fault in life, Seabriar was ambitious and loyal to his clan even after he lost his coveted position of deputy to another when their leader claimed their 9 lives. While some were concerned that due to his ambition he would have eventually driven Riverclan down a dark path had he actually become deputy and then leader, Seabriar had only good intentions and his goal was to bring the clan together after a particularly tumultuous period in the clan's history. It would later come to light that the clan had been concerned about the wrong deputy candidate.
Manner of Death: Drowned intercepting an attempted assassin from the clan's deputy, took the assassin down with him into the gorge below.

Name: Phloxwish
Age (at death): 54 moons
Clan & Rank: ThunderClan, Warrior (potential sHP/HP roll)
Description:
Phloxwish was a short-haired cream tabby with patches of white across his body and dark blue eyes. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, Phloxwish struggled to take his duties as a warrior seriously, often slacking off compared to others and finding his fortunes testing the border security of the other groups. One such rebellious excursion led to him falling in love with another clan's warrior over the border and then, on another border, found comfort in another's paws. Extremely careful in his appearance and believing that life was too short for tying oneself down, Phloxwish also pursued romantic interests within ThunderClan, finding himself straying ever further from his duties.

This casanova attitude eventually led to a crisis of faith when his personal affairs ended up interfering and possibly endangering his younger siblings. After that shock to the system, Phloxwish underwent a redemption arc, still frequently making mistakes though instead, made ones while doing his best for his clan. His efforts didn't go unnoticed and, after a period of distrust and skepticism, was able to become a mentor figure for ThunderClan's youths. This newfound 'maturity' came with the caveat of becoming a bit of a bruiser instead, frequently leading patrols and being known for a boisterous, albeit defensive personality when it came to protecting his home. He'd found his courage and his purpose, while maintaining a softer, gentler edge around his kittens.

While defending ThunderClan territory from another clan's invasion, Phlox was bitten in the face by a high position. Infection set in and took his life, leaving behind a muted legacy of highs and lows to all but his closest family. Within the Stars, his pelt shows signs of aging, his whiskers curled and his smile yellowed with a miraculous shimmer. The life which he coveted most, one which he was never allowed to achieve, was that of an elder, having done all he could to prepare his home for the future.

The stars had faded with the loss of the clans, he is told, perched upon a smooth stone slab to overlook the field of shimmering stardust that drifted through the air; if he did not long for his home and family so much he might have been at peace. This place, this serenity, it was a dream that any cat would be comfortable in and yet he can only feel restless in his own pelt; wishing for change, wishing to go back in time, wishing-he takes a sudden gasp of air and exhales it like a cough-wishing he could stop manually breathing because he didn't technically need air and it was stressing...

- she's earned her stubbornness through her experience, knows what she's doing and it shows in the way she carries herself. Quiet and calculated she acts after carefully watching a situation and only after, very rarely does she leap before she looks.
- loyal to a fault, she will risk her own life to make sure her clanmates are safe, anything from leading a dog away to taking charge in time of a disaster she's the girl you know will be dependable to get you there.

cause of death: refused to leave her clanmates behind during an unknown tragedy, it was so long ago the exact details are lost to time, had she left them behind it's possible they could have all survived with horrible injuries but due to her sacrifice of death they all survived with only minor injuries, her death being the only casualty.

Age at death: Eleven moons
Appearance: A curly-furred cream tabby with low white, blue eyes & adorns a pink collar from her daylight days | see her here! | appears this way as she never really took off her collar after she joined this way; appears just as she was right before her death
Personality: Bubbly & upbeat, nothing can get Creampaw down! She delivers news with a smile, whether its good or bad, and always aims to cheer others up. She takes the codes as law, and will often point it out to fellow apprentice code-breakers much to the chagrin of them. She was once a daylight apprentice, but after her twolegs moved out and left her behind (or if she were chosen as mca, she would leave them anyways due to a flimsy loyalty to their ever-fleeting affections), she joins Skyclan full-time and puts all that she can back in to the clan that took her under their wing, that provided her a space to grow in to her own cat. She never stopped being cheery and optimistic even up to her death.
Cause of death: On a patrol (herb patrol if rolled as mca), Creampaw broke off from her patrol due to hearing kitten mews past the border. Thinking it would just be something as simple as bringing them back to their terrtiory, she proceeds without caution and for the first time in her life, her strong nose doesn't pick up the scent of a predator due to being upwind. She stumbles upon a fox who had just finished killing the kittens mother and were now approaching them; despite her fear and the sense that this is where her life ends, she throws herself in to battle to protect the little things. She buys enough time for the patrol to erupt from the bushes, but not enough time for herself. She slumps, ever loyal to the warrior code to the point that it had killed her, she dies satisfied knowing that she was able to ensure those kittens had a whole life ahead of them.

✧ Wildrose is a dark red torbie [subject to change because im bad at verbalising designs/markings] with thick, longer fur creating an almost mane-like appearance around his chest and head. With a cropped tail and a shorter, stockier appearance, she looks generally smaller than her peers, not particularly built for hunting or fighting, but it won't stop them from trying. Their fur is peppered with flower petals or leaves, though notably, he always has a specific, yellow feather tucked besides their face, supposedly a gift from someone dear to them who they refuse to talk about.

⤷ Due to being a Starclan cat, their scarring from death is gone, though in place are clusters of stars where the scars once would have been.​

✧ Wildrose was always a kind soul - even if she was known for a nasty habit of keeping grudges she never let that get in the way of her healer role. He sought to treat those in their care with gentleness and fairness, after all, they were often the ones protecting the clan and bringing food to the mouths of those who could not, and they made sure to be grateful for that in what they did. They never did anything with half effort; if a cat ended up in their den, they would do every last thing in their power until they were better or if they had to be released to the stars, something that Wildrose would always mourn for, no matter how close they were with the cat. There was a sorrow they carried in their heart, heavy from their own loss in their youth; it only made them more empathetic to the souls lost in their clan and their families.

✧ Though when not busy working, he has a relaxed demeanour, one cat sought if they just wanted some quiet time from the hubbub of the clan. It did mean Wildrose always knew the newest gossip within the clans, folks often lamenting to her about all sorts, being a medicine clan and having to hike to meet with their peers meant they knew far more than they often let on, watching during gatherings and noticing things other cats often didn't.

✧ Wildrose, once known as Foxtrot, used to live as a kittypet before leaving with her best friend in tow, Romeo having dreams of a place full of wild cats. They come upon Thunderclan and are soon accepted as a medicine cat apprentice for their connection to Starclan, given the name Wildpaw. She and the now-renamed Alderpaw are still inseparable, even with their different training. They seek the other in quiet moments when left alone, falling for the other and secretly becoming mates. The pair looked forward to receiving their names together upon completing their training; however, during a huge battle between Thunderclan and Shadowclan, Alderpaw and another apprentice were knocked into the river, washing them downstream. Wildpaw wanted to save him though Alderpaw's mentor, Elmleap stopped them, it was too dangerous and it was unlikely he was to live.

✧ In a state of mourning, believing their mate and best friend to be dead, they continued their training and became Wildrose, a skilled healer vowing to protect and save those in her clan in the name of Alderpaw, requesting their name as a reminder of the other to hold with them always. With such a strong connection to Starclan and being adept with herbs, he ends up a respected healer amidst the clans, even for their kittypet blood, offering to help other clans with their sick and injured in times of need. However, as war began again amongst the clans, especially between Thunder and Shadow yet again, Wildrose couldn't help but grow nervous, as the Stars kept warning them of danger amongst the trees, a prophecy Wildrose struggled to interpret. But she persisted, preparing herbs and keeping fellow medicine cats updated with herbs from outside their territories. She was especially protective and alert for their apprentice, Newtpaw, a young cat they took in and essentially raised themself, which greatly reminded Wildrose of Alderpaw when he was his age. Wildrose prepared her stocks as best she could for the battle, but nothing could have prepared her for what would come.

✧ The fight was almost impossible for Thunderclan, cats far stronger than they were meant to be, cats shrouded in darkness and seeping blood unfazed joined the fight or watched with cruel smiles. Something dark, something evil had infiltrated the clan. Wildrose's attention was dragged from those they were healing, hearing Newtpaw yelp, seeing a face they never thought they would again. Face to face with who used to be Alderpaw but is now a great, towering stranger by the name of Deadwood. Without thinking, Wildrose attacked Deadwood to save her apprentice, and a vicious fight ensued, and they tried desperately to escape. It ended with Deadwood, enraged, believing Wildrose left him for dead purposefully, pinned her to a tree and ripped out his throat. As they lay there dying, they knew at least they saved their apprentice and many cats with what medicine they could administer, what wounds Wildrose had inflicted on Deadwood were seemingly enough to cause them to collapse too. He crawled to Wildrose's side, resting a head upon them and their dying words to Deadwood were that of forgiveness.

✧ Many moons have passed, more than Wildrose can remember, the clans have fallen and since risen again. Wildrose passed on many wisdoms, lives and prophecies to cats before, and now awake again, seeks to continue that for the newly reborn clans. Though she never got the second chance she always hoped for, with them and Deadwood, wherever he was, at least that can be given to the clans and forewarn them from something like that happening again, from allowing the Dark Forest to corrupt innocent cats and turn them against the Warrior Code and the very Stars that seek to protect them.

Doespring is a large, muscular gray she-cat with just as many brown splotches over her body as battle scars veiled under her thick coat. Her very presence commands respect; those stubby legs do not take away from her intimidating appearance, mostly thanks to the cold, green glare she tends to look at the world with. Hidden within the depths of said eyes lies a determined and brave heart that will stop at nothing to save those she cares for — evident in how that very fact had led her to her doom.

Doespring, formerly known as simply Doe, is of rogue heritage, having spent the majority of her life fending for herself in the wild. It is fleeting love with a tom that had ultimately changed her life forever... and not in a good way, not at first. His flirtatious and ambitious nature had won her affection, but when the time came for him to step up as a father, he never dared show his face around her again, presumably off to woo more unsuspecting she-cats until he got bored of them. The ordeal had only taught Doe a few things: do not trust, and do not fall in love. Her hopes of a better life had been shattered, and her spirits had not revived even after giving birth to two kittens. She could not look at them with typical motherly love in her eyes. A harsh leaf-bare full of near-starvation had ended in tragedy when her daughter had gotten killed by a hungry fox, and in the end, Doe had opted to give up her remaining son by leaving him at the infamous ThunderClan border.

It was only the passage of time that had awakened Doe's eyes to the truth; the truth about her own selfish nature, and the truth of her lonely future if she remains the same way. After seasons, she finally decided to show her face around ThunderClan in hopes of being able to do something with her life as a noble warrior — and perhaps meet her son, if she's lucky. Lucky is not exactly how she would have described herself when faced with the disappointment her son held for her, but his heart had been kinder than hers, and he did not object to her goal of joining the Clan's ranks.

Doe became Doespring, a ThunderClan warrior, and she spent her days improving herself and earning the trust of her Clanmates. No longer was she alone... but it came with new responsibilities that she never would have even imagined as a lonesome cat.

Over the years, she manages to prove herself, all her efforts culminating when she is appointed deputy of ThunderClan. A newfound ambition strikes her: if she becomes leader, she will never have to face the wilderness by herself, and in turn, her own biggest mistakes. It is a short-lived goal however, tossed aside when it really matters the most; on a nightly patrol with her leader, a fox ambushes them and threatens to cull the Clan's future once and for all. Doespring fights viciously and protects her leader, ultimately sacrificing herself and closing her last chapter with a deed that the previous, more self-serving Doe never would have bothered with. Her bravery, her guilt over the past, and her efforts to shape herself into someone better is what earns her a place amongst StarClan's ranks.

NAME: Chrysaliswing
AGE (OF DEATH): ~120 Moons
PREVIOUS CLAN: Skyclan
PREVIOUS RANK: Elder
APPEARANCE: A longhaired tomcat with chimaeric patterning. His left side is fully black and his right side is black splotched with sunset-orange. He has complete heterochromia, with his right eye being a bright green and his left eye being a glowering yellow. He has matted, disheveled fur that is patchy and thin in some areas. He is average-sized, though his long coat makes him seem more imposing than he is. Heavily scarred.
PERSONALITY: A gruff and aloof tomcat, Chrysaliswing only speaks out if there is something that either contradicts the Warrior Code or goes against his personal beliefs. He is blunt and abrasive, but ultimately well-meaning, especially to young cats.
BACKSTORY: Chrysaliswing was born in an unstable family, with a distant mother and a practically-absent father. He grew up without a proper support system and lashed out at anyone who dared to get close to him. After the death of his former mate (and mother to his children) and a brush with death after a terrible sickness, he slowly recuperated and made amends with his then warrior-aged children. He spent the last few years of his life attempting to right his wrongs and make sure no other cat became like him.
CAUSE OF DEATH: Died of old age in the elder's den after serving as a warrior for his entire life.
MISCELLANEOUS: Speaks with a raspy, low voice.
