Open Camp step right up! [open / prompt thread!]

This thread takes place inside the clan's camp.

AND I AM SORRY MY CONSCIENCE CALLED IN SICK AGAIN

While Wolfpack didn't consider himself particularly superstitious, it was hard to ignore how much better things had gotten for the clan ever since they'd buried those damn bones. No more nightmares or akward feelings of being watched in their own territory. No more whispers on the wind or cats reporting off activity in the territory.

Even the weather was turning in their favour. While the territory was still as wet as ever and experiencing rainfall almost on the daily, the sun was also out a lot more these days. It wasn't uncommon to catch a nice patch of sunlight to soak up before the next set of clouds rolled in to dampen things up.

It was almost nice.

"Shadowclan, gather up for task delegation!" called the chimera as he took a seat and made himself comfortable. Might as well take the chance now since he'd be on his paws for the next couple hours. "These aren't patrols, and they don't have to be done right away. Work alone, or as a group- whatever suits you more." he explained as he waited for his clanmates to gather.

OOC– Hello! Welcome to Wolfpacks prompt thread! Come get a 'chore' and a set of optional prompts to go with it! Keep in mind that these chores are not being held at the same time, so feel free to jump into each others chore threads to have fun with the prompts if you want!!

geckoflame was one of few who approached, snake-like tail swinging behind in a slow, rhythmic manner. last time she was given a task it was to fix up the camp and not many had volunteered to help so the she-cat had done most of the work alone but perhaps it was better that way, less bumbling paws to deal with when she had a set vision in mind.

"alright, let's hear what you have then." she speaks with a slightly drawn out breath, geckoflame didn't appear entirely interested but it was something to do to pass the time.

AND I AM SORRY MY CONSCIENCE CALLED IN SICK AGAIN

Wolfpack watched the shecat approach like she owned the clearing– paws pristine despite the damp, tail moving witht eh same slow elegance of a snake trailing behind her. Typical. She didn't look thrilled to be there, but he could appreciate that she'd shown up anyway, and more importantly, that she didn't waste his time with questions or complaints.

"Geckoflame." he greeted, voice level as mismatched eyes flicked across the clearing before returning to her. "Your on slope and footing detail."

Physical work, but it wouldn't leave her as mudstained as some of the others he could have thrown her way.

"The incline into camp is becoming a hazard thanks to the rain– and I don't need anycat slipping and breaking their spine on the way in from patrol. Find some stones and fresh ferns to pad the incline with so our warriors have a better grip when they're coming in and out of camp."

She had a good eye for things if the last task he gave her was anything to go by, and he trusted she'd get this handled as well.

MARBLE OF SHADOWCLAN

Bright-eyed and brimming with enthusiasm, the young molly trotted forward with a bounce in her step, her tail flicking like a banner in the breeze. The camp buzzed with the usual morning rhythm, but her attention was singular, fixed on Wolfpack.

Her gaze locked onto his with open affection, and without hesitation, she pressed her head gently against his shoulder, a purr bubbling up like sunlight on water. " Do you have anything for me to do, oh great deputy? " she asked, her tone playful, the words spun with teasing warmth. There was no venom in her voice, there never was, not with him. Her kindness was nearly constant, a gentle tide that rarely shifted. But there were those who had glimpsed the storm beneath. Jadethorn knew that edge, had felt it, rare and sharp, like a thorn in spring. A side of her that only surfaced when something cut a little too deep.

But now? Now there was nothing but eager light in her eyes, waiting for the chance to prove herself, to serve... or maybe, just maybe, to stay near.
