That Sound Brings Hope Where Ever It Goes
That Sound Brings Hope Where Ever It Goes
Dovekit noses the last of the leaves into the little pile she has made. Others are crafting their own but she pays them no mind. This is her pile and that is what matters. She stares at the differently colored leaves of brown and red for but a moment before nodding to herself and
plopping into the center. They flutter up and around her, settling along her back and head as she slowly blinks out at the main part of camp.
"The leaves have crowned me their own. I wonder what they have seen in me." She does not move except to curl her paws into her chest and wrap her tail around herself. Her eyes fall half closed and if it wasn't for the smallest rising and falling of her body, she would be as still as a statue. She watches paws move about her, cats coming and going and she does not move. She only watches. Perhaps this is what the whisperers feel like watching them move about their life. Idle creatures with so much going on that it is hard to keep track. She hums a note under her breath and watches. Always watching.

BERRYKIT
The boy watches as others start gathering the fallen leaves into piles. His own paws twitch to participate and soon Berrykit starts creating a pile his very own.
He had been taught that leaves are important for the forest - in leaf-bare they shelter the insects and rodents, helping them survive the cold season. That, in turn, helps the forest provide even more prey once greenleaf comes.
But their camp is not to shelter no bugs, nor does it house any rodents - the only ones are those in the fresh-kill pile. If any stray mouse does find its way into the SkyClan camp, it is soon to join its kind in the pile as well.
And so the black and white boy gathers leaves into a pile, the yellows mixing with the reds. But Berrykit is not finished when the pile is built - oh no, the kitten has much better ideas. "Ohoho..." he giggles. "Now this is the perfect spot to practice my pouncing!"
And with that, without waiting for a reaction from anyone, the boy jumps up, landing in his pile, sending leaves flying in every direction.
