She leads him to their shared nest, something that had become home before she had even known it. Her tail sweeps over the ground, bending her neck to deposit the few frostbitten flowers and sprigs of grass as she shuffles closer to him. She flicks her tail lazily over his, as if it'd fix things. She stares, for a second too long.
Theres a desperation to leave something behind for him. Something to remember her by. You're talking like you'll die, wordlessly, she bends her head once more, picking up a baby blue bloom, brittle and fragile. "I think this'd look good on your side, don't you think?" domestic, soft, a distraction. She smiles, but it doesn't quite reach her eyes. It's always a possibility, dying. She nestles the bloom in to his side of their nest, knowing that when he would lay in a potentially empty nest, it'd crumble. She feels sick. "Maybe I should have stored some away..." she murmurs as her stomach does flips in its confines. She feels lightheaded, and her movements are jerky when she raises her head, scanning camp. "Do you have anything better to decorate with...? I shoulda thought ahead." she asks Roostertuft. She'd rather not address the dark cloud that lingers above them, just give me this. "Maybe the others have some things I can trade for..." mostly a murmur for herself, but shes not quite sure what she'd trade. She hadn't ever been terribly in to collecting.
