With the loss of Serpentberry fresh in his mind, Asterpaw slips out of camp while everyone seemed to be preoccupied with the return of the body and his auburn eyes had settled on his mother for a fleeting moment knowing that he should be at her side while she takes this loss. And yet, his heart leads his paws astray towards to a promised meeting place where he would see the prettiest molly that he had ever seen in all of his life and the thought of her alone causes his breath to rattle as if he struggles to bring oxygen in his lungs due to how she leaves him breathless. His paws traverse the cool ground and tries to ignore how the cold seems to threaten his ability to breathe, he doesn't care about himself in that moment but instead for the molly that likely awaits for his arrival... it'd be rude not to show up and lend his ears to her just as he promised.
Asterpaw quickens his slow trot into a gait so that he may arrive sooner than he usually did as his sluggish pace and his ears angle forward at the sight of the stones glistening underneath the moonlight, his warm eyes beginning to search for her moonlit drenched pelt, and he comes to a halt when he spots her. He can feel the stutter of his heart and how it seems to flutter much like the butterfly that he had found, the very same wings tucked behind her ears, and his ivory dipped paws move forward. The chocolate tabby almost doesn't stop until the river laps at his paws as if reminding him to not be too eager to meet death once more, a warm smile parting his facial features, and a sniffle slips out from him as the cold air nips at his rosy nose.
His thoughts crash forward like a large body of water and it rests on his tongue as if it were the shore... his mouth opening then closing as he tries not to blurt the first thing that comes from both his mind and heart.
I've missed you... I couldn't wait to see you... It felt like a lifetime... let's meet sooner...
And yet the words that slip out from his jaws tumble without much grace "I h-hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long." His ears press flat against his skull then turns his head towards Sunningrocks and the half-clan prince peers back at his companion, "We could sit there... together... uhm, if you'd like." His mother is the queen of the oak forest and surely, they wouldn't mind if one of their allies crossed the border especially when Asterpaw is only soldifying his friendship further with Lavenderpaw, and well, his mother wouldn't scold him for it... right?
The tabby apprentice gives a wave of his tail as he walks towards the rocks and can't help but feel the way that his skin seems to burn underneath his pelt, oh Starclan, maybe he should've practiced how to climb up the stones before this meeting of theirs. It didn't matter now, he supposes, and the half-clan prince makes his "graceful" ascension onto Sunningrocks with a soft huff. Asterpaw takes a heartbeat to recover only to push himself onto his paws once more stumbling over to the edge and glancing down at Lavenderpaw, he extends a paw out towards her, and offers a bashful smile "C'mon... it'll get real lonely up here without you."
If she were to take his paw in her own, electricity would fizzle throughout his body, and he'd hold his breath for a long moment admiring the way that her warmth bleeds into his own skin. He wouldn't let go until she settled onto Sunningrocks alongside him (he didn't want to let go of her ever...) and his heart skips within his chest. He wishes a world with her despite how foolish his thoughts are and how much of a fool that his heart is... "C-can I admit something rather foolish of me?" The apprentice inquires timidly and if she nods her head or utters a quiet 'yes' then he lays himself bare to her, "I've m-missed you." I've missed this... I've missed us...
A nervous chuckle bubbles out from his throat and he casts his gaze elsewhere so he needn't see her reaction, in case, she laughed at him "I know it's silly... but it's true."

ASTERPAWTHUNDERCLAN APPRENTICE
TRANS MASC x HE/HIM/THEY/THEMx"speech", thoughts, attacking
a runty, longhaired chocolate tabby with clay toned eyes and low white. a sickly apprentice with small patches of fevercoat left over in his pelt, kitten fuzz, and fat that clings to him but is fading away to give way to a taller/more lanky build
sickly child of loonstar and sablestar; littermate of dreampaw and magpiepaw; padding after lavenderpaw
asterpaw's an introverted apprentice that keeps to himself for the most part unless family's involved, he usually keeps his head low and eyes averted so he doesn't make direct eye contact. once, he actually gets to know someone is he more open towards them and can prove to be a devoted friend. once he's comfortable around other individuals, he tends to speak a lot more and sometimes over shares about himself without realizing it. he hates that he was born sickly but despite it, he tries to overcome it and pushes himself harder than any of the apprentices
