  HISTORY Born to a shipcat named Herring and no father, Storm and her siblings were raised for their early life on a small trading vessel. Once they were old enough, Herring moved the siblings to live in the shipyards. There, she taught them how to hunt land prey, fish, and be a colony cat. The siblings then split up once they were old enough in order to carve out their own lives.
  
  Storm met Tangle, a lively she-cat who swept her off her feet and the two became mates. They hunted together, shared a nest, and love one another deeply. Times were hard, though. Food was scarce and the pair had a hard time keeping their bellies full of anyhting other than meager fish. Tangle, in a desperate attempt to find something substantial, had ventured out deeper into the waters despite their danger. The she-cat dove beneath the waves and was swept away by the current, never to be seen again. Storm waited days for her to return, but when she didn't and Storm could wait no longer, the she-cat found Frost and found comfort in family.
