It was a nice, crisp leaf-bare morning, and Flutterkit was BORED. With all the snow, Rain had kept them closer than usual, and that pretty much meant staying in the nursery most of the day. How dull! Flutterkit had already explored every nook and cranny of the nursery. Fae needed something new.
Sneaking out of camp was absolutely not allowed, according to Mama, and if she tried to go visit Quailstep in the warrior's den... Well, she knew the Sun Guard would turn her in. Flutterkit may have really liked the tabby, but she was sooooo strict about rules!
Where else in camp could she go...
Her ears pricked as she heard Hawkstar call out for a few cats to join them hunting. That meant... their leader's den would be empty! Fae looked around the nursery - her Mama and siblings were all asleep. Would she risk waking Mama to take all three of her siblings alongside her?
Maybe some other time. Instead, she tugged gently on Songkit's ear, whispering to her sibling.
"Psst! Wake up, Songkit! Wanna go on an adventure?"
