- reference; a small, scarred, muscular she-cat with a lilac tabby and white pelt and a single green eye. scars mark her right foreleg and her left eye, as well as her shoulders, from a variety of forces
notes for me (you don't see these)
- Shows up to SkyClan as 'Doe' with a freshly healed eye wound. Doesn't initially get into specifics unless pressured by higher-ups, but she's a refugee from a distant, war-ridden colony who journeyed far to seek a new home. Was married to the colony's leader until he got murked by an ambitious member seeking the throne, she nearly died as well, barely fled with her life. Still guiltily wondering how things are back home
- World-weary and wartorn, visibly sort of paranoid. Gracious but distant and very reticent about her personal life; doesn't mind being a shoulder to cry on, but freezes up when the tables are turned. Polite and thoughtful, doesn't speak unless she has something to say; fairly sociable but not necessarily outgoing. Fine with other Clans but obviously distrustful of them, more amenable with non-Clan outsiders.
- Stubborn on her sticking points and outspoken when it comes to her principles; weakens hypocritically when it concerns cats she loves. Doesn't necessarily look it, but capable of astonishing brutality in the heat of fury or out of a need to protect others. Has a nasty temper on her and is fairly vengeful; killed a cat once in the brawl that ended in her mate's death, still haunted by it.

- Very far from the Clans — A moon or two's foot travel, assuming your cat walks most of the day.
- A fairly large colony (but smaller than Fray's colony) of cats settled deep in the heart of a steep mountain range. Their home base is in a more temperate valley, but their territory covers a vast expanse, since they have few to no enemies to challenge their borders.
- Their members tend to be thick-furred and long-coated against the cold, with calloused paws and large, blunt claws thanks to cliff-climbing. Cats here come from hardy stock and are built to withstand any conditions; they range in size from large cats adept at muscling past obstacles to tiny ones built to fit themselves into any crevice.
- The few neighboring loners will tell you tales of a war-torn people, which are exaggerated but not untrue. Though bloodline claims are the most common form of leadership passage, these cats also have a tradition of challenges for the throne. The challenge demands a claw-to-claw fair fight ending only in death, so more underhanded crownseekers have taken to cleverer tactics. As such, alliances and inner circles within the colony are constantly shifting, as are the top contenders for the crown.
- Their most recent leader, Cougar, was murdered in his sleep amid rising tensions and scuffles between different in-groups within the colony. His mate, Doe, barely escaped with her life, leaving behind her grown (apprentice to warrior aged) children, her sibling(s), and all she'd ever known.
- I'm still spitballing, but the most likely idea for Doef's backstory is that she was the daughter of a past colony leader. Her mother (leader) was murdered in challenge by an interloper (Cougar's father, they are NOT RELATED), and she married Cougar, his son, partly out of genuine feelings but partly out of a desire to save her own hide.
- During her time as daughter of the leader, she ended up in a politically advantageous/arrangedish marriage with Elk, who was kind of terrible. He died in a mysterious accident sometime between their kit's birth and her father's death.
